Chapter 126 Grandma Chu Takes Action

Cuihua rushed into the living room in a panic and shouted to Grandma Chu and Qin Yuhan, who were drinking tea, "Grandma, Madam, Bailu has gone mad and beat Wang Ma until her head was covered in blood and she is unconscious."

Grandma Chu and Qin Yuhan's faces darkened upon hearing this. Wang Ma had been a maid in the Chu family for over ten years and was practically family to them. Even when beating a dog, one should consider its owner. Bai Lu dared to be so ruthless towards Wang Ma; this showed that she didn't respect the Chu family at all.

Grandma Chu and Qin Yu exchanged a glance, their faces showing displeasure. When they saw Cheng Long carrying Wang Ma, whose face was covered in blood and who was unconscious, into the living room, their expressions changed drastically, and they immediately stood up from the sofa.

Cheng Long put Wang Ma on the ground with a solemn expression and looked at Grandma Chu, pleading, "Please, old lady, save Wang Ma, and please seek justice for her."

Grandma Chu looked at Wang Ma lying on the ground, her face filled with pity and anger, and said, "Let's not talk about this now. Go and fetch Doctor Fang. It's important to treat Wang Ma first."

"Oh! I'll go find Dr. Fang right now." Cheng Long said, and hurriedly ran out to find Dr. Fang.

Grandma Chu looked at the bloody, mangled wound on Wang Ma's forehead, a horrifying sight. Her face was filled with confusion and anger. Why would Bai Lu be so cruel to Wang Ma? What kind of hatred existed between them?

Grandma Chu glanced coldly at Bai Lu, who stood there indifferently, her face expressionless, as if she hadn't injured the person lying on the ground. Her ruthlessness and cruelty were chilling.

Qin Yuhan looked at Bai Lu with hatred in her eyes. It was all because of this woman that An Ran had left with the child and Yun Xiao had become so despondent. She wanted to kill her, but in the end, reason prevailed over hatred. She said to Grandma Chu, "Mom, Bai Lu was left behind by Yun Xiao. Let him go downstairs and deal with it himself."

Grandma Chu thought Qin Yuhan was right. The matter was caused by Chu Yunxiao, so he had to resolve it. She turned to Cuihua and said, "Cuihua, take Li Yun upstairs and call the young master down. If he doesn't open the door, break it down and drag him downstairs."

After hearing Grandma Chu's instructions, Cuihua and Li Yun ran upstairs together to call Chu Yunxiao.

Bai Lu stiffened slightly upon hearing Chu Yunxiao's name, but quickly recovered. She knew that things wouldn't end so easily, but she didn't care. No matter how down on her luck she was, her dignity wouldn't be trampled on by a servant.

Cuihua and Li Yun arrived at Chu Yunxiao's room. Cuihua couldn't wait to knock on the door and shouted, "Young Master, Young Master, the Old Madam wants to see you and wants you to come downstairs quickly."

Cuihua pounded on the door for a long time, but there was still no response. She looked at Li Yun and asked, "Should we really break down the door and drag the young master downstairs?"

"Who is the most authoritative person in the Chu family?" Li Yun asked Cuihua.

Cuihua looked at Li Yun as if she were an idiot, "Such an obvious question, why even ask? Of course, the old lady is the most authoritative."

Li Yun knew, of course, that Grandma Chu held the greatest authority, but he was still nervous about being asked to bang on Chu Yunxiao's door. He wanted to confirm with Cuihua again before he would have the courage to do so.

Li Yun took two steps back, mustered his courage, and kicked Chu Yunxiao's door hard. He prayed in his heart that Chu Yunxiao would not be angry, otherwise, with Chu Yunxiao's martial arts skills, he could kill him in one move.

Cuihua looked at Li Yun with admiration. She couldn't believe that Li Yun actually dared to kick Chu Yunxiao's door. Her courage was truly commendable. She couldn't help but give Li Yun a thumbs up.

Li Yun kicked twice in a row, and just as he was about to kick a third time, the door opened from the inside, and Chu Yunxiao, with a scruffy beard and an expressionless face, looked at him.

Li Yun sheepishly withdrew his foot and said with a fawning smile, "Young Master, Miss Bai has had a mental breakdown. She grabbed Wang Ma's head and kept banging it against the wall. Wang Ma was banged on the head and bled profusely, and then fainted. The old lady and the madam both said that Bai Lu was someone you left behind, and they told you to go down and decide what to do with Bai Lu yourself."

A faint look of surprise appeared on Chu Yunxiao's lifeless face, but it vanished in an instant, and he immediately reverted to his deadpan expression, as if someone owed him billions.

Seeing that Chu Yunxiao remained unmoved, Li Yun continued, "The old lady said that if you don't want to come downstairs, she'll drag you downstairs no matter what."

Chu Yunxiao's lowered eyes flickered for a moment, then he raised his head and looked at Li Yun indifferently.

Li Yun pulled Cuihua in front of her and said nervously, "If you don't believe me, ask Cuihua. Cuihua can testify for me. Not a single word I said is nonsense. It was all said by the old lady herself."

Looking at Chu Yunxiao's cold face, Cuihua felt scared, but mustered her courage and said, "The old lady instructed Li Yun that the young master must go downstairs today to handle Bailu's matter. If you are unwilling and lock yourself in your room, Li Yun will smash the door and drag you downstairs."

Standing behind Cuihua, Li Yun nodded repeatedly and said ingratiatingly, "Young master, please be kind and come downstairs. Don't make things difficult for us servants."

Even if Li Yun had ten times the courage, he wouldn't dare drag Chu Yunxiao downstairs; kicking the door was already an act of extreme boldness.

Chu Yunxiao frowned, his eyes showing impatience. He lifted his foot and walked out of the room, heading downstairs.
