Chapter 28: Conversation with Hershel, Stationed at the Farm

Hershel's eyes widened slightly, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. He hadn't expected this young Asian man to be the leader. This young Asian man in front of him was actually the leader of these people!?

Hershel thought about it over and over again, his eyes full of surprise. Xu Mo's identity surprised him. Beth and Maggie were also shocked by Xu Mo's identity.

Beth and Maggie looked at each other, surprise flashing in their eyes. They were full of curiosity about Xu Mo's leadership ability. They already admired Xu Mo very much, and now after hearing about Xu Mo's identity, they became even more curious about him.

Beth and Maggie's eyes were filled with curiosity. Xu Mo's identity made them even more interested in his past experiences. How could Xu Mo, who was so young, become the leader of so many people?

Beth and Maggie were secretly speculating in their hearts. They were curious about Xu Mo's abilities and experience. Meanwhile, Hershel, though he didn't know what the young Asian man named Xu Mo was up to, was determined not to offend anyone who smiled at him.

Hershel pondered secretly, his eyes showing caution. He knew that he couldn't offend Xu Mo easily, even though he had doubts. Looking at Xu Mo who smiled and extended his hand, as an old gentleman, he naturally couldn't lose his manners.

Hershel nodded slightly and reached out to shake Xu Mo's hand. He displayed the demeanor of an old gentleman, without losing his courtesy. He also extended his hand and said, "Herschel Green, the owner of this farm."

Hershel introduced himself in a steady voice. His eyes were filled with dignity, indicating his identity. As soon as he finished introducing his name, Hershel immediately pulled out his hand and looked at Xu Mo and said, "Xu Mo, what do you want?"

Hershel's tone was direct, his eyes wary. He didn't want to waste any more time and asked directly what Xu Mo's purpose was. He didn't want to play coy with Xu Mo and the others. Even if Xu Mo and his group weren't here to rob them, they must have some ulterior motive in coming here.

Hershel thought to himself, his eyes filled with determination. He wanted to find out the purpose of Xu Mo and his group as soon as possible. Hearing that Hershel asked the point, Xu Mo also said straight to the point: "We are survivors who fled Atlanta and are looking for a safe and suitable place to set up shelter."

Xu Mo's expression was serious, his eyes revealing sincerity. He truthfully told the situation and purpose of his group. After listening to Xu Mo's words, Hershel immediately interrupted: "I'm very sorry, we never accept outsiders here, please go somewhere else!"

Hershel's expression was resolute, and his tone was unquestionable. He directly rejected Xu Mo's request with a very tough attitude. Xu Mo laughed and said, "Don't worry, we are not planning to build a shelter on your farm. I can feel that you are not safe here. On the contrary, you are very dangerous here."

Xu Mo smiled, his eyes shone with mystery. He dropped a shocking piece of news, trying to get Hershel's attention. According to the original series, in about two weeks, a large herd of tens of thousands of zombies would depart from Atlanta and pass through here.

Xu Mo recalled the original story in his mind, his eyes filled with worry. He knew the farm was about to face a huge crisis. When that happened, it would be completely destroyed.

Xu Mo shook his head slightly, his eyes filled with worry. He painted a terrifying picture, hoping Hershel would believe him. "It's very dangerous here!" After hearing Xu Mo's words, Hershel narrowed his eyes and looked at Xu Mo.

Hershel narrowed his eyes, a look of suspicion in his eyes. He doubted Xu Mo's words and tried to find a flaw in his expression. He wanted to refute Xu Mo's words, but seeing that Xu Mo's expression did not seem fake, he became a little uncertain for a moment.

Hershel was torn between two things, his eyes filled with hesitation. Xu Mo's expression made it difficult for him to deny it easily, and his heart was filled with contradictions. "Tell me why you came here," Hershel asked.

Hershel's voice was low, his eyes filled with anticipation. He hoped Xu Mo could give a reasonable explanation. Since Xu Mo and his group weren't robbing or planning to occupy this place, they must have other motives.

Hershel analyzed the situation in his mind, his eyes reflecting on it. He tried to find an answer from various possibilities. Xu Mo nodded and said, "As I just said, we are survivors who fled Atlanta and are looking for a safe and suitable place to set up shelter."

Xu Mo emphasized again, his eyes firm. He hoped Hershel would believe their original intention. "We have intelligence that there is a very well-hidden prison about ten miles from your village."

Xu Mo's eyes flashed with excitement. He shared this crucial information, hoping to pique Hershel's interest. "That prison has tall walls, sturdy buildings, and several watchtowers. This is our target."

Xu Mo described the prison in detail, his eyes filled with longing. He painted an ideal picture of a shelter. "It's a pity we don't know the exact location of the prison, so we can only stay here temporarily for a few days. Once we find the prison, we will leave."

Xu Mo spoke sincerely, his eyes revealing helplessness. He explained the reason for staying on the farm. "Of course, it would be even better if you knew where the prison was. As long as you take me there, we'll leave now."

Xu Mo's eyes flashed with anticipation. He hoped that Hershel could provide the location of the prison so that they could leave as soon as possible. After saying that, Xu Mo looked at Hershel quietly, waiting for his reply.

Xu Mo stared at Hershel, his eyes full of nervousness. He was uneasy, not knowing what decision Hershel would make. After listening to Xu Mo's long speech, Hershel was silent for a while, then asked a middle-aged man beside him, "Otica, do you know the location of that prison?"
