Xu Mo transmi...

Chapter 65: Capture the Prison, Development Blueprint

The others followed closely behind Rick, their steps in unison, full of trust.

But before they could go in, Xu Mo came out, and behind him were three more prisoners in prison uniforms.

"Xu Mo, who are they?" Rick asked curiously, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes. He glanced at the three people, trying to understand their identities.

"The guy with the mustache is called Axel, the black guy next to him is called Oscar, and the big guy at the back is just as his name suggests. They want to join our team, and I agreed, but I gave them a one-month probation period. After the probation period, they can officially join us."

Xu Mo's expression was calm as he briefly introduced the general situation of the three people. His tone was orderly, allowing everyone to quickly understand the situation.

"Hello." Axel's face was full of smiles, and he greeted Rick and the others with a licking smile. His smile seemed a little deliberate, as if he wanted to quickly integrate into this new group.

Oscar and the big guy also nodded to Rick and the others, their expressions a little reserved.

Rick and the others glanced at the three of them and said nothing. Since Xu Mo had agreed to let them join and even given them a probation period, they had no other objections. Their eyes revealed their trust in Xu Mo's decision.

"I'll take them to Unit B first. You guys go over to the lawn and see if Hershel needs any help. If not, you can take them to the conference room in the prison office area. We need to have a meeting."

"Okay." Rick and the others nodded, then walked out of the prison. Their steps were brisk, ready to complete the task assigned by Xu Mo.

About ten minutes later.

The entire team sat at the conference table in the prison's meeting room, their expressions ranging from serious to expectant, their eyes filled with concern for the future.

"How's the breach outside the prison?" Xu Mo sat in the main seat of the conference room, leaning forward slightly as he looked at Rick and asked. His eyes revealed his seriousness about the prison's defenses.

Rick sat up straight and said seriously, "It has been temporarily repaired with wooden boards, but it is not a long-term solution. It is still possible that the zombies outside will break through later." His expression was a little solemn as he reported the situation truthfully.

Xu Mo nodded when he heard this, frowned slightly, and after thinking for a moment, he said: "This matter should indeed be resolved. We'd better go to the construction site to find some reinforced concrete, pour the reinforced concrete on the barbed wire fence to build a reinforced concrete wall, and then set up a few circles of obstacles outside the wall with concrete blocks and spiked fences." There was a glint of wisdom in his eyes, as if he had already seen the solid prison after the transformation.

Hearing what Xu Mo said, everyone in the conference room's eyes lit up. Their faces showed surprise. If the prison was renovated as Xu Mo said, the prison's defense would be greatly improved by several levels, and they would be safer.

"But isn't this a bit too large a project? It's impossible to complete in such a short time." Glenn frowned slightly and asked his question. His eyes revealed his concern, worried that this plan would be difficult to implement.

Xu Mo smiled and said with a relaxed look: "It's a matter of time. It doesn't need to be completed in one or two days. But the sooner it can be completed, the better. It will be safer and more beneficial for us." His tone was full of encouragement, trying to dispel everyone's concerns.

After answering Glenn's question, Xu Mo's expression straightened and he continued:

"We can also plan for the lawn outside the prison facility."

"That lawn can be temporarily divided into two areas. The area near the river can be used to create a separate farm and pasture for growing vegetables and raising livestock."

His eyes were full of enthusiasm for planning, as if he had already seen the vibrant farms and ranches.

"The other lawn can also be divided into two. One can be turned into a public space, such as a public toilet or a park, and the other can be turned into a market for people to exchange goods in the future."

As he spoke, he gestured with his hands to help everyone understand his plan more intuitively.

"I just asked the three prisoners in the prison. There are five backup generators in the prison, three of which are diesel generators and the other two are natural gas generators."

"We can modify several of the generators to use solar panels and wind turbines to generate electricity. This will solve the prison's electricity problem. As for the water problem, there is a river outside that we can directly access. Of course, the safest option is to dig a few deep wells and build a rainwater storage pond. This will also solve the water problem."

His tone was full of confidence, as if these problems could be easily solved.

"There are also other facilities in the prison, such as the canteen, infirmary, and gymnasium, which can be opened after some renovation. The prison has six units, four of which can be converted into residential areas, and two of which can be dismantled to build a school and library."

After hearing the blueprint drawn by Xu Mo, Rick and the others became excited again. Their eyes gleamed with hope. If they continued to follow the blueprint drawn by Xu Mo, they might be able to return to the life before the apocalypse one day.
