Jiang Ling patted her chest. She probably understood the weight of this suit. Compared to the regular suit, they had built a Kevlar protective layer into the fiber interlayer at the chest and lower back. In theory, with a few more inserts on the outside, this suit would be indistinguishable from a heavily armored soldier's suit.

Jiang Ling heard that Geiger counters, which detect radiation from objects, could be purchased at the station's exit, so she didn't have to make another wasted trip to the distribution center. She planned to go there early the next morning, hoping she might run into some of the search teams.
