How should I put it? This is a story about a dumb protagonist who transmigrates to another world, gains superpowers, and then lives a lazy life, interspersed with a bunch of weird things that pop u...
She dressed once again and set out on her journey alone.
Jiang Ling walked into the snowstorm, the house behind her looming, then gradually becoming invisible as the distance between them increased. As she walked, she recalled the joy of leaping from streetlights before the war. Now that she no longer needed to hide, she felt no urge to try again. Life was unpredictable. Every streetlight she had destroyed now lay facing west, tumbling to the ground, along with the trees and houses on either side.
She was on the right track, her sense of direction was excellent. She had walked this route several times, so she calculated the time accurately. About half an hour later, she arrived at the ruins of an overpass.
The nuclear bomb hadn't completely destroyed the viaduct. Although each section had collapsed, it was still supported by pillars at one end, forming a triangular safe space with the ground. Some vigorous weeds had already grown in this space. Jiang Ling walked a short distance, counting these pillars, and then stopped at a bench.
The place looked much the same as it had then, though the bald mutant's corpse was now gone. The nuclear shockwave had disrupted the microclimate, so she could clearly feel the breeze. Some snowflakes were blown onto the open space, forming a thin carpet.
Jiang Ling didn't intend to use exhaustive methods to find Li Wenjia's armed bag. Instead, she used a simpler and more brute-force approach. She figured Li Wenjia couldn't dig very deep, so she used her telekinesis to penetrate beneath the surface. It only took her a few minutes to find the treasure mentioned in the email.
Li Wenjia buried the package half a meter deep, anticipating the need to dig it out from the start. To prevent erosion from groundwater and rain, he even used several large black garbage bags to provide a simple waterproofing treatment. Digging wasn't particularly difficult; the most troublesome issue was the frozen, hardened soil. The loosened soil had absorbed enough water, and after being frozen for over a month by the cold weather, it was now like a block of concrete. Fortunately, the shovel the repairman had given her was sturdy enough, and Jiang Ling managed to free the package before she used it as a pickaxe and broke it.
Considering the radioactive dust still present in the air, Jiang Ling didn't open the package hastily. She untied the cloth tied to the shovel, made a simple handle on the package, and then used the shovel to pick up the package.
It was truly a rewarding trip to the surface!
