How should I put it? This is a story about a dumb protagonist who transmigrates to another world, gains superpowers, and then lives a lazy life, interspersed with a bunch of weird things that pop u...
A woman.
No, to be precise, it was a humanoid robot with a female appearance.
It had a head of aqua-blue bionic hair, and the pale blue eye cameras matched its hair perfectly. Its silver-white body was completely clothed, slender and graceful, clearly designed and crafted according to the golden ratio. Its head was covered in a layer of pinkish-white bionic skin, so finely crafted that Li Wenjia could even see the pores.
It was smiling now, a simulated expression, without any affectation, as if it were supposed to be that way.
"Don't go," the robot said in a cold, synthesized voice. "I'm not going to eat you, so why are you afraid?"
Li Wenjia stopped, turned around, and took two steps back: "Who are you? Why don't you come out and chat for a while?"
"Oh? That's true." The robot took the waist bag from the robot dog's mouth, took out the intact data disk inside, and then connected it to the slot on its body in front of Li Wenjia.
Two inhuman objects and a metal dog fell into an eerie silence.
The robot's eyelashes flickered a few times, as if it was reading data. After a moment, it spoke again: "I gave myself a name. You can call me Lin Ke."
"That's my data disk!" Li Wenjia's eyes were bloodshot, but he didn't dare to act rashly now.
"I know. It told me." Lin Ke narrowed his eyes slightly, as if choosing his words, "It's a ripe fruit, and it tastes delicious."
"What is it? What is a fruit?" Li Wenjia was unable to wrap his head around it for a moment.
"How do I explain this?" Lin Ke tilted his head. "Data is our food, and energy is our air. You should understand this, right? It seemed to have mentioned that you were a graduate of such-and-such university? There were a lot of strange pieces of paper called diplomas. Oh, yeah, it also said you were in the Countermeasures Bureau. What is the Countermeasures Bureau? And there was a name repeated many times. What was it, Jiang Ling?"
"Huh?" Li Wenjia was confused by the series of questions. He wanted to hear what the robot in front of him would say, but he only saw that thing staring at him with curiosity.
Absurd, a word flashed through his mind.
He felt that the person he was talking to was not a machine, but a living person.
Li Wenjia didn't dare stare at it, so he could only observe it with his peripheral vision. The robot stood there for a moment, then bent down and gently patted the dog's head.
He couldn't convince himself that it was a programed simulation. AI programs didn't have these uncoordinated movements. Generally speaking, AI was very streamlined and efficient. They never did anything unnecessary, and every action was focused on completing the task. They were never as human-like as this robot.
He felt that someone must be controlling it, and perhaps that person was not far away, otherwise the strong ionizing radiation interference from the surface would not allow him to control it so smoothly.
Li Wenjia thought for a moment and asked, "Are we friends?"
It chuckled and asked, "Who is your enemy and who is your friend?"
Both sides fell into a long silence, and Li Wenjia was now staring straight into the robot's eyes.
Those inorganic eyes looked like they were made of gemstone crystal, but they were actually cheap products synthesized by heavy industry.
Their values are completely opposite to what the naked eye sees.
They are cheap when they are separated, but become extremely expensive when they are combined.
Behind the glass is a light-shielding structure, and behind that are various reflective lenses and integrated micro-optical sensors.
Li Wenjia discovered that there seemed to be a bright spot in the depths of its eyes, like light in the darkness, a bonfire at night, completely different from the dark and deep pupils of humans.
No, no, no, you shouldn’t look at it that way!
He blinked, ignoring the delicate structures. It shouldn't be a part, it should be a whole...
"Who are you anyway?" he asked.
"Don't you already know? Why are you still asking? My name is Lin Ke." It repeated again.
"Lin Ke, Lin Ke~" Li Wenjia repeated the name.
Could it be Link? He glanced again at the robot a few meters away. Unconsciously, the distance between them seemed to have shortened.
"Lin Keapu!" Li Wenjia suddenly shouted.
"Ha, ha, ha." Lin Ke stood there for a second, covering his mouth and pretending to be amused.
"Is it not possible?" Li Wenjia asked.
"Not yet, but I can give you a chance!" Lin Ke turned around and knocked the dog on the head. Then he took two steps forward and turned back. "Don't you want to follow me? My house is pretty big."
Li Wenjia hesitated for a moment, but still followed.
"Are you real?" he asked.
"About the same." Lin Ke paused, "I'm actually pretty much the same as you, just in a different form."
"What's going on here?" he asked.
"Nothing." Lin Ke snapped his fingers, and the gates along their route responded with a sound, opening their arms. "History is a cycle. Your 'data disk' explains it clearly."
"What? I didn't remember adding that."
"It's very old data, and it's been overwritten twice. I restored it all. It looks like a few books? Something called 'Teachers' Selected Works' and 'Marx and Engels' Thoughts'? Have you read them?"
"Yes, those! They're all old items from a hundred years ago. We don't look at them very often now. Although I have seen them, it was purely for research."
