Xia Chuohe played games day and night until she died of exhaustion. The bad news: she didn't die completely and transmigrated into the monster-slaying game she was playing before her death – ...
To stimulate everyone's imagination, Xia Chuhe specially organized an imagination training session. Within a limited time, participants were asked to express themselves using words as a medium, with the theme of wind and sand.
Soon, everyone handed in their answers.
Xia Chuhe: [The wind and sand held a special dance party to welcome us.]
Xia Bao'er: [The wind and sand are whispering amongst themselves, murmuring and plotting how to deal with us.]
Li Yue: [The wind and sand are like kitchen knives, each cut hastening our aging.]
Bu Yi: [The mutated animals are hiding in the castle.]
Li Qiusheng: [It's freedom. I envy them for being able to frolic freely~]
Wang Yan: [The wind and sand are like flames, hammering at everyone who passes by; only pure gold can pass through them.]
Zhu Guanshan: [It's like an eraser that wipes away traces; it erases footsteps, and it can erase the past.]
Lu Danggui: [Wind and sand are the sighs of the planet]
...
Xia Chuhe stared at it for a long time, realizing that he had been too superficial.
In this scenario, perhaps the most worrying person is herself.
It takes more than a day or two to spark imagination. With clues in hand, they are already much safer than those who have no clue at all.
The eight people did not linger and stepped into the story's paradise instance together.
The Story Paradise is located in a large area of the wasteland, but once inside, the group discovered that it was a very small instance, only the size of a regular guest room.
The room had no door, only four completely different walls. One was a wooden wall with uneven textures, which felt wonderful to the touch. Another was a paper wall, which made a crisp sound when tapped, but couldn't be punctured. Another was a metal wall, but its surface wasn't smooth; instead, it had a matte texture. The last wall was made of velvet, soft and light, as if it could be pulled open at any moment.
"So, what do we do now? Do we need to imagine something?" Li Yue asked.
Bu Yi hesitated and said, "For example, a door? A window?"
Just as the group was at a loss, footprints appeared at the bottom of the wall, with two pairs of footprints corresponding to each wall.
Xia Chuhe: "It seems that it wants us to be divided into four groups of two people each."
Bao'er: "Wouldn't it be dangerous to separate? Maybe it's a trick by the dungeon to weaken us?"
Li Qiusheng: "But now, we have no other choice."
Li Qiusheng's words were met with agreement from everyone.
Based on their usual cooperative habits, special abilities, and personal preferences, the group divided into four teams: Li Yue and Bu Yi chose the wooden wall, Xia Chuhe and Bao'er chose the paper wall, Lu Danggui and Zhu Guanshan chose the metal wall, and Wang Yan and Li Qiusheng chose the velvet wall.
The four groups of people stood on the lit footprints and then disappeared from the spot.
[Tranquil Library]
[First Draft]
The sky and earth were vast and shrouded in thick fog, with only a library visible.
An electronic door blocked Li Yue and Bu Yi's way. On the door was a glowing handprint, and on the handprint were the library rules:
1. Keep quiet
II. Books that must not be damaged
3. No seat reservations allowed.
IV. No food is allowed.
Note: Pressing your fingerprint signifies signing the library rules and grants you access.
Li Yue and Bu Yi pressed their handprints and entered the library.
The library occupies a very large area, roughly estimated at 1,000 square meters, and has four floors.
There are three reading rooms on the first floor, and there are quite a few people in each reading room. Some of them are wearing school uniforms with the school's name on the upper left corner of their shirts.
Li Yue and Bu Yi did not separate, but instead moved around the reading room together, looking for anything unusual.
After looking at only three or five bookshelves, Li Yue noticed something was wrong.
Although there is no library in the wasteland, Li Yue had seen the world with the upper class and vaguely remembered that there were thousands of books in the world. Such a large library should have storybooks, textbooks, technical manuals and so on.
But in reality, they only saw one type of book on the bookshelf—storybooks.
And they're all romance novels, such as—"The Real and Fake Heiress xxx", "The Domineering CEO xxx", "xxx the Ultimate"...
After watching for a while, the two almost thought they were trapped in a maze, endlessly looping in the same place.
This is true not only in the reading room on the first floor, but also on the second, third, and fourth floors.
Li Yue typed on her wristwatch for Bu Yi to see: 【Do you have any clues?】
Bu Yi sighed softly and shook his head.
As his mind wandered, Bu Yi's gaze swept over the man lurking behind the bookshelf.
Bu Yi typed a reply to Li Yue: [Someone is peeking from behind the bookshelf]
Li Yue didn't turn around: "There are some behind you too. I've memorized their locations. You remember them too, then go down and take a look."
The two walked down from the fourth floor to the first floor, finding a corner hidden by bookshelves where they wouldn't be easily observed.
Li Yue: [At least twenty people]
Bu Yi: [I've memorized almost everything.]
Li Yue: [Kill them?]
Divination: [Auspicious]
Having determined that taking action would yield good results, the two did not hesitate to take action, but they struggled with the method.
Neither Li Yue nor Bu Yi possesses offensive superpowers. Li Yue at least has two handguns, while Bu Yi relies on risk avoidance to act.
The pistol worked well, but unfortunately, the first rule of the library was to keep quiet. Everyone in the library, without prior agreement, followed this rule. The vast library was filled only with the sounds of turning pages, drinking water, and breathing.
Li Yue subconsciously thought, "If only there were a completely silent muffler."
The silencers produced in the wasteland cannot completely eliminate the light and sound of fire. If you are far away, it will be fine, but if you use them in the library, they will definitely attract a lot of attention.
The thought had barely formed when a strangely shaped silencer appeared in Li Yue's hand.
