The two people, one big and one small, walked along the long corridor. Halfway there, they heard mechanical sounds. Chu Rui tensed up and looked around warily.

Ellie simply tapped a button on the wall and put him inside, looking somewhat surprised to see Chu Rui.

He walked through this underground building with great care; it was so intricate that even he alone might not have been able to avoid the numerous and varied traps. Originally, he planned to knock out the little girl and take them away once he saw Chi Huo, but now it seemed that he still needed the little girl's help, otherwise he might not be able to get out of here.

All that could be heard was the little girl's indifferent voice from outside.

"What are you doing here? Didn't the doctor tell you not to wander around?"

"I didn't mean to. The doctor instructed me to deliver the newly recruited batch of promising young talents to the research lab."
