Interstellar Monster Keeper's Survival Handbook

Keeper's Survival Handbook. Remember three points: If it wants to kiss me, I will close my eyes and accept. If it wants to touch me, I will lie down and play dead. If it wants to mate with me, ...

Chapter 1: The Birth

When we first met, he was still an unknown creature, wrapped in plastic wrap and placed in an incubator along with other species.

The doctor stood in front of the incubator, shook his head, and marked the various indicators of his condition with a big red cross.

"He doesn't have much time left," the doctor said. "Please take good care of him."

"Yes." Fang Rong is a zookeeper here, specializing in raising monsters bred using scientific and technological methods.

He knows every single breed here, and the doctor will list out all sorts of precautions, but he alone seems to have been abandoned.

A tiny life lay quietly in the incubator, eyes closed, breathing softly, seemingly in pain. Its skin hadn't fully developed yet, like a thin plastic film covering its tiny organs.

Weak and pitiful—that was Fang Rong's first impression of him. In a group, the strongest one is always the most eye-catching, while the weakest one is the most pitiful.

Fang Rong naturally noticed him and, while he was still weak and powerless, took him out of his den of rejection and held him to her chest.

The zookeeper's job is not easy. He has to face monsters that are a hundred times more ferocious than ordinary people, as well as their ugly appearance and terrifying fangs.

He was used to it, even though the one in his arms wasn't much better looking—a small body, a long tail, and two big bumps on its back that looked like failed wings.

Feeding him is simple: give him food and he'll eat; give him water and he'll drink. He's like a monster that can never be satisfied, never knowing contentment, until he stuffs himself to death.

He has parents, but they don't seem to like him much and have never come to see him. Of course, if Fang Rong had a son who looked like this, she certainly wouldn't want to see him either, as he only has a head that looks like a human and has a thorn growing on his forehead.

It can only be said that the genes mutated and he turned out badly. Fang Rong had met his parents, both of whom were handsome and dashing.

It is now 2180. Earth is no longer suitable for human life, and humans can only keep moving around and wandering in the universe in order to survive.

The universe is vast, and the spaceship drifted through space for many years. Finally, one day, it saw hope and found a planet similar to Earth, which humans had known before.

However, this planet is not friendly. It is inhabited by powerful orcs who can transform and possess superpowers. Humanity's only advantage is its advanced technology, but unfortunately, it is still at a disadvantage in this battle.

How could the higher-ups be willing to accept this? They couldn't just watch a good place to settle down and take root slip away, so naturally they tried desperately to resist, wanting to occupy a piece of land and live on this planet.

Some have suggested hybridization, or capturing those orcs to extract their bloodline and study how they use their supernatural abilities and how they transform.

This project took eight years to complete, and the first batch of test subjects were finally born. At that time, the scientists did not know what kind of creature they had discovered. Being a zookeeper was a very dangerous job. You could get eaten if you were not careful. The worst thing was losing an arm or a leg.

The facilities have now been largely improved, and the zookeepers' jobs are now secure, but deaths are still unavoidable.

Fang Rong is from a poor family. She has no education or skills and only came here because she was attracted by the high salary and high returns.

The bold get rich, the timid starve. He's doing pretty well now, with a car, a house, and the chance to meet up with women.

After drifting in space for a long time, the spaceship consumed a huge amount of food, the population grew rapidly, and food became severely scarce. Ordinary people couldn't even get enough to eat, and the women with weak bodies naturally couldn't cope, and almost all of them died. Fortunately, surrogacy technology had become widespread, so it didn't matter if they didn't have women.

However, people tend to flock together. Being alone can make one feel lonely, and one can't help but want to find someone to spend one's life with. Before one knows it, it has developed into a nationwide homosexual society. Only a few ancient families still have the spare money to support women. Women are considered a noble existence and their numbers are extremely small.

The term "female" doesn't mean "woman" in the sense of being female; it's what the orcs call them. In fact, ordinary people are called "female" by the orcs because they want to possess the entire spaceship, since they perceive everyone on board as female.

Of course, that was in the past. Ever since humans mastered the superpower potion and put it into use by the whole population, although only two levels of people became superpowered, one level became mutants, and the third level all died, leaving four levels of ordinary people. The good-looking ones are called females, and the bad-looking ones are still ordinary people.

When people gain power, their ambitions also grow, leading them to divide people into different classes. The stronger one is, the higher the class, and the weaker one is, the lower the class. In short, ordinary people are at the bottom, not respected by those with superpowers, and often trampled on. Household chores, services, and all the dirty and heavy work are done by ordinary people, under the pretense that those with superpowers are warriors. Warriors are already exhausted from going out to fight, so of course they should enjoy services when they come back. Therefore, the lives of ordinary people are generally not easy.

They weren't called females; "female" was a term reserved for beautiful people. They weren't superhumans either, and their lives were extremely difficult. People like Fang Rong could only be classified as ordinary people. Fortunately, they could eat and drink and support themselves. However, this job was too risky, so many people didn't dare to do it. Fang Rong wasn't afraid. He had been doing it for five years and had mastered his own breeding techniques. Ordinary test subjects wouldn't make things difficult for him.

The experimental animals he raises are of unusual species, most of which are discarded, injected with other mysterious drugs, or are new breeds, and their danger cannot be defined at the moment.

The old abilities are no longer enough for humanity; they constantly seek to create powerful weapons of mass destruction to conquer this land.

Clearly, the little guy in his arms was also a new breed, and its danger was still uncertain and needed to be observed. Its parents were not entirely its own; 70% of its cells were extracted from other people. Obviously, their experiment failed. They didn't see any destructive power, but instead created a bunch of white and tender mounts. The only change was in him.

Although he was ugly and weak, he was the most unique in the entire den, ugly to an extreme.

His parents were a mutant and an ability user, respectively. Although they only provided cells and bloodlines to be integrated into other species, they probably never expected to create a bunch of hybrids. That's why they immediately turned their backs on him and refused to acknowledge him as their child, which made the children suffer.

I've heard that the children's parents are both very powerful beings. This is because mutants can transform into beasts to increase their combat power, and superhumans can control their superpowers. The essence of heaven and earth combined—it would be strange if they weren't strong.

However, it was clear that the father's bloodline was stronger. The little guy's brothers were all fat and domineering, and they looked more like orcs. Only he was thin and small, and he was out of shape.
