Chapter 140 The Madness of the Last Day

So we spent another night cuddling, wasting such a beautiful evening.

Fang Hua is usually quite clever, but he makes a foolish mistake at crucial moments. He doesn't cherish the opportunities he's given, and Fang Rong can't do anything about it.

It's just a pity that such a rare peaceful night has been wasted; perhaps I won't be able to have one again. At times like this, I especially want to create some memorable moments, preferably something profound.

Fang Hua acted like an idiot, doing his own thing and making a fuss, showing no sense that it was the last day. He had wasted the entire previous night and still wanted to go fishing today.

Fang Rong pretended to be asleep and ignored him. There was a pot of wine on the table, half-empty beside him. Some of the wine spilled out and dripped onto him, causing him to shiver suddenly in the cold weather.

However, Fang Rong's acting skills were too good, and she managed to hold back, still lying on the rattan chair with her clothes wide open, revealing her deep collarbone.

He's probably been overthinking things. He's been through a lot lately; the dents in his collarbone are deep enough to raise fish, and his skin has a healthy wheat color that looks like it's been coated in honey under the lights.

Fang Hua paused in his fishing line reeling, then dropped the fishing rod and scurried over, rummaging through the wardrobe to find a large animal hide, which he draped over Fang Rong, tucking the furry hide under his neck until he was completely surrounded.

He probably didn't realize that his life might be in danger tomorrow; after covering himself with the animal skin, he was thinking about going out fishing.

What did the fish do to him? Why is he so hostile?

He had barely stepped out the door when the animal skin on Fang Rong rolled onto the ground.

Fang Rong paused for a moment, then turned back and draped the animal skin over him. However, the animal skin seemed to have a grudge against him; it would fall off as soon as he left, but would stop falling off once he stopped walking.

Are they going to leave or not? (⊙x⊙;)

Fang Hua hesitated.

He looked at the fishing rod in his hand, then at Fang Rong who was sleeping soundly. After thinking for a long time, he finally gave up the fishing rod, moved a small stool and sat down next to Fang Rong, covering the gaps in the four corners for him.

Thinking back to how he used to be the one to say these things, and Fang Hua would enjoy it while snuggling in bed, now that the situation was reversed, he felt a little surprised.

So this is what it feels like to be cared for?

Fang Hua was clearly luckier than him, having met him at birth. Although the whole world looked at him with strange eyes, at least he still had Fang Rong.

Fang Rong lived in an orphanage when he was young. He was isolated because he was too good at studying. People called him the class teacher's lackey and the class monitor who loved to tattle. He was good for nothing except studying.

He endured the strange looks from his peers, and his only joy was figuring out how to escape the orphanage so that he could be like the adults, with his own choices, able to easily take out money to buy the clothes and eat the food he wanted.

The director told him that only well-behaved orphans like them could be adopted if they were good at studying. Unfortunately, he was too dull when he was young, and he was adopted but returned. Later, he simply adopted himself and relied on his studies to get out of poverty.

None of his peers were able to get into university, and few even got into high school. Only he was admitted to a prestigious university with the highest score in the entire school. He received government funding, had plenty of food and drink, and found a well-paying job.

Life may be dull and monotonous, but there are occasional little surprises, and the biggest surprise is probably Fang Hua.

This guy is ugly in a very unique way. When he first came, he looked like a bald bird without feathers. Later, he grew into a mouse cub, then a shaved puppy, and finally, he slowly grew hair and became good-looking.

If I had to describe his transformation, I would say he went from being an old man to a child, as if he had become young again.

It's like buying clothes. You've given up hope, but when you receive it, it looks amazing, and suddenly you're filled with hope again. That's roughly the feeling.

It's truly remarkable that he was raised to be the way he is today. Everyone says that Fang Rong ruined him and became his burden, but actually, the opposite is true. It was Fang Rong who made him who he is; without Fang Rong, there would be no him.

No matter how he changes or what achievements he makes in the future, he cannot change the fact that Fang Rong saved him when he was weak. It can be said that without Fang Rong, everything would be meaningless.

Like the pyramids, they collapsed before they were even built.

Fool.

Fang Rong cursed him in her heart, "He's already being so obvious and he still hasn't reacted."

"I heard you." Fang Hua leaned closer, his wet nose sniffing Fang Rong's scent, occasionally touching him with his cool touch. "You called me an idiot." ⊙_⊙

"You've always been an idiot." Fang Rong couldn't keep up the act any longer, so she simply reached out and hugged his neck. "Change back."

This guy had somehow transformed into an orc, with an enlarged cat face and trembling whiskers.

"I won't change unless you tell me why." (⊙x⊙;)

"..."Are you dumbfounded?

Fang Rong gave up, "Forget it, let's just stay friends."

We agreed to meet at the military region in the afternoon to make final preparations. We might board the spaceship earlier than planned, since we can't meet with other people.

Even if you want to do it in such a short time, you can't really enjoy it, since it's physically demanding. So, it's better not to do it at all.

"What are you doing?" (⊙_⊙) Fang Hua finally realized, "That?"

“No.” This time, Fang Rong refused. “Make honey.”

"You're lying," Fang Hua snapped, "Making honey isn't tiring at all."

His superpower is really convenient; he can see what others are thinking at any time. Of course, it's also easy to prevent him from seeing through things—just stop thinking about them.

"We're about to meet up with Li Wenyang and the others, stop fooling around." Fang Rong pushed him. "You don't want me to die from weak legs, do you?"

"I see." (≥﹏≤), Fang Hua's expression looked wronged no matter how you looked at it. "Then can I touch it?"

His ears drooped, and he looked like he was about to cry; his regretful expression was unexpectedly adorable.
