Chapter 3 Eat

He was looking at the windmill, and Fang Rong was watching him, watching him walk step by step, slowly growing up, from the first time he fell, to the first time he was beaten, to the first time he fought with others for food, to the end when he ate his parents, brothers and sisters.

It was a dull day like any other when Fang Rong's phone suddenly rang. It was a female calling him, saying she wanted to have dinner with him. Females were a rare thing in modern times, so he was somewhat excited and immediately agreed.

They agreed to meet at a certain place and paid for the drinks. However, the woman brought a child with her, and it was clear that she kept complaining to him about how difficult things were for her. Fang Rong realized that he had been tricked, but since the food was quite expensive, he still had to finish it.

Even after he finished eating, the female was still rambling on, saying that she and her younger brother had reached a dead end, otherwise they wouldn't have sought help from strangers.

Fang Rong remained calm, wiped his mouth, and lied that he was going to the toilet. In reality, he slipped out through the back door. Just as he reached the toilet area, several thugs suddenly rushed out and started punching and kicking him. He didn't know martial arts and hadn't practiced self-defense. The only thing he could do was protect his head to avoid a concussion.

The female had just kicked him in the ribs, speaking with disdain, "Poor wretch, you dare come here even though you have no money." He rummaged through Fang Rong's clothes, taking all the valuables he had before leaving with his men.

Fang Rong fell to the ground, her body completely numb and stiff, unable to feel anything. It took her a while to slowly get up and go find a doctor.

Fortunately, he still had a personal terminal. The money in the terminal required identity verification to withdraw. He stubbornly refused to say anything, and those people didn't dare to do anything to him. After all, modern social security is quite good.

He might get hit a few more times, but it won't kill him. However, he was bruised, his mouth was blue, and his eyes were swollen. He couldn't go back to work looking like this. Luckily, he had a colleague who would understand after something like this happened.

He thought for a moment and then called another zookeeper to explain the situation and ask him to take over for a few days. His colleague readily agreed, but before long, he called back to say that something had happened.

Fang Rong, disregarding his hospitalization, quickly got dressed and returned, accompanied by the zookeeper.

“He hasn’t eaten since you left. Every time I bring him food in, he brings it back the same way he brought it in. At first, I thought it was nothing serious. Orcs won’t starve to death in a couple of days. I was going to wait until you recovered and came back before dealing with it. But who knew he would…”

They ate his brothers and sisters, and none of the five brothers and sisters survived.

Fang Rong became timid and even dared to eat his own brothers. He was no different from the beastmen of the past, and eventually became ruthless and heartless.

When he arrived, Fang Hua still looked harmless, crouching behind the bulletproof glass. The surroundings were a mess, with specks of blood and white hair on the ground.

Bloodstains still clung to his fingers as he used that hand to turn the stopped windmill.

Whew! Whew! Whew!

The windmill turned slowly, making a sound as the paper swayed under its weight. He seemed to hear footsteps and slowly turned around. Only when he saw Fang Rong did he reveal a fawning expression. Unfortunately, his mouth was full of blood, and crimson traces were still flowing down the corners of his mouth.

Fang Rong found it hard to accept. He had always thought Fang Hua was the most obedient and special, but he never expected that he too would be unable to escape the fate of being a beastman, and in the end, he would become estranged from his family and unable to distinguish between the five grains.

Fang Hua's arms were bulging. He carefully reached out and pulled out a pair of blood-stained wings. The edges still showed that they had been forcibly torn off an animal. "I left you a pair of wings. You liked touching them the most. They're for you."

Wow!

Fang Rong finally couldn't hold back and vomited. The scene was too disgusting. He could still see the torn muscle and tenderloin, which was extremely terrifying.

For the next few days, he was traumatized by Fang Hua and dared not go near her. Every time he fed her, he would hide far away, put the food in through a small door where no one could see him, and then take it out.

He originally thought that would be fine, but even though he couldn't see it, he would still think of that day, and it would repeat in front of his eyes over and over again.

He still remembers Fang Hua squatting on the ground, stretching out his blood-stained hand, and gently turning the windmill. His expression was innocent, like a child who had done something wrong, looking at him ingratiatingly.

Fang Rong just watched without going forward. Finally, the child couldn't wait any longer. He dropped the windmill and crawled over. With his slender hand, he took Fang Rong's hand and slowly placed it on his head, just like an adult stroking a child, stroking it down gently.

Fang Rong's fingertips trembled as he dared not touch the soft strands of hair. In fact, he felt a sense of resistance, or rather, fear.

Fang Hua lowered his head, his silver-white hair curled up, and his long eyelashes trembled gently, like a silver butterfly playfully perched on his eyes, exceptionally beautiful, more like an angel than an angel, with a pair of white wings and a flawless halo.

He looked exceptionally well-behaved and harmless, just like when he was a child. Fang Rong finally couldn't resist and gently rubbed his soft hair with his hand. The feeling was so good that he couldn't bear to leave.

Fang Hua suddenly opened his eyes, his long eyelashes curled up, and a fierce glint flashed in his light-colored pupils, revealing gleaming white teeth. He bit down on Fang Hua's neck, and crimson blood flowed down his neck, soaking his clothes. Pain struck him in an instant, and he only had time to scream.

"ah--"

The lights came on automatically, and the surroundings became familiar. Fang Rong finally realized where he was. It wasn't a prison where wild animals were kept; it was his home. He had just had a nightmare, and now he was covered in sweat. The pain in his neck still felt like it was happening right in front of him. The hallucination was so real, it was as if it were happening right in front of him.
