A well-known piano composer from Blue Star...
Chapter 755 After all, I didn't do anything.
As soon as the lights came on, Ai Haibara spotted Bertrand, who was crouching in the corner and hugging her tightly, almost immediately. Before she could react, she saw Chizuru walk over there.
Qianzhu squatted down in front of Bertrand, raised her hand and gently touched his head, comforting him softly, "It's alright, there's light now."
Bertrand raised his head slightly, his eyes still brimming with tears. When he saw Qianzhu, he couldn't hold back for a moment and threw himself into his arms, sobbing uncontrollably.
Qianzhu gently patted his back and pulled him to his feet. She was about to let go of him when he stood up, but Bertrand pulled her back again.
"Xiao Ye, are you alright?" Seeker squeezed through the crowd and the first thing he did was check on Bertrand's condition.
Liu Qingyao and Mao Lilan also came over, and asked with slight doubt.
"What's wrong?"
"It's nothing, Xiao is just a little afraid of the dark." Qianzhu tilted her head slightly and smiled, explaining for him.
"Huh? I didn't know that was the case?" Ran Mouri was a little surprised.
"But Qianzhu, how did you know?"
Sonoko Suzuki blinked; she couldn't recall ever seeing the two of them know each other.
Qianzhu paused, glancing out of the corner of his eye at Bertrand, who was watching him, and a smile curved his lips. "Yes, because we already knew each other when we were in the orphanage."
"Huh!?"
Apart from Seeker, Ran Mouri and the others were almost all shocked.
Liu Qingyao's performance was, of course, an act.
"Because some things happened, I don't really want to talk about the rest." Qianzhu smiled apologetically.
"Huh? Oh, okay."
Everyone blinked and nodded in agreement.
After a while, the restaurant finally had its power restored.
Liu Qingyao turned off the flashlight in her hand, spun it around, and blew a breath into the mouth of the flashlight. "Looks like I really made the right choice bringing this flashlight."
Haibara Ai glanced at the butterfly that had flown back to Bertrand's head, and nodded slightly in agreement upon hearing his mutterings. She then looked around, but Conan still hadn't returned.
She shook her head helplessly. Sure enough, that guy must have gone to deal with another case. She had just heard shouts coming from downstairs. Given how sensitive that guy was to murder cases, he must have run down immediately.
Seriously...
Ai Haibara thought to herself, a crescent-shaped expression appearing on her face.
Immediately, a playful gaze fell upon her, causing her to shudder. She abruptly looked up at Seeker, who gave her an enigmatic smile.
The fear that had just been dispelled by anxiety instantly returned.
However, Seeker only glanced at her before looking away.
"Speaking of which...where did Conan run off to this time?"
Ran Mouri looked around and found that Conan was gone again.
"That little boy with glasses? I just saw him when I came out of the restroom," Seeker said, though whether the guy was still in the restroom or not was unknown.
But given his nature as a detective, he probably went to the crime scene.
"Honestly, I don't know what happened, but this banquet definitely can't continue smoothly." Sonoko Suzuki crossed her arms, seemingly a little annoyed. "I think we should just go back as soon as possible."
After she finished complaining, she looked down at the little devils and said, "Are you little rascals full?"
"Um!"
"I'm already full!"
"I've eaten a lot, so I'm almost done!"
Sonoko Suzuki nodded in satisfaction. "In that case, let's get ready to go back."
"That's true, but I wonder where Conan went. I'll go call him." Ran Mouri said, taking her phone out of her bag and walking to a window where there were fewer people to call Conan.
Bertrand glanced at Ran Mouri, tightened his grip on Chizuru's hand, and looked at the others, "Um, I have to leave with Chizuru first, goodbye!"
After saying that, without waiting for anyone else to respond, he grabbed Qianzhu and ran towards the elevator.
Just then, the elevator stopped on the fifth floor.
Ai Haibara: !!!
Seccote: Ah! Kashiwagi-chan, don't you want me anymore!?
Seeker, looking incredulous, reached out Erkang's hand and then quickly strode after him.
Ai Haibara also instinctively chased after them.
How could they possibly let Qianzhu stay with two members of the Black Organization?!
After catching up, she suddenly realized that her pursuit didn't seem to have made much of a difference...
It's unclear whether Conan has solved the murder case or not, but after they ran downstairs, there were no police officers holding back the crowd to prevent them from leaving. Therefore, Bertrand easily pulled Chizuru outside the restaurant.
Standing in the deserted green forest, Bertrand blinked.
"Huh? Did I run too fast? If the main character doesn't keep up, there's no point in me continuing to act."
Qianzhu smiled slightly but did not speak.
"If no one comes, then let's not do this show, shall we?" Bertrand stroked his chin and thought for a moment. "It's the same whether they come or not anyway."
“That’s true.” Qianzhu crossed her arms and leaned against the tree trunk, her voice low and languid. “After all, it was just a last-minute decision.”
"So what should we do next?" Bertrand raised an eyebrow slightly, playing with the little butterfly in his hand, looking somewhat expectant.
"What can we do? Let's keep going."
Qianzhu lowered his head, his black hair blocking out the light, burying his expression in darkness, with only a soft murmur escaping his lips.
Bertrand's expression hardened. He looked up at the not-so-bright moon and then chuckled softly.
"To be honest, this world is actually quite interesting~"
His tone was nonchalant.
"Being interesting is useless."
Qianzhu muttered a casual remark to herself, then strode toward the restaurant. Her eyelashes drooped slightly, concealing the calm in her eyes, and in less than a second, that tranquil expression was instantly replaced by a gentle look.
He looked at Ai Haibara, who had rushed out without regard for the consequences, and chuckled as he comforted her. He then knelt down to allow her to examine him.
While still standing in the greenery, Bertrand yawned, grabbed Seeker's sleeve, and went back to the safe house with him.
"Sai-chan, don't tell anyone what happened today, okay?"
Seeker blinked, looking at Bertrand with a blank expression, then his expression turned into a speechless crescent-shaped look. "Please, little ancestor, I have no idea what you did, and I have nowhere to tell you."
"That makes sense, doesn't it?" Bertrand thought for a moment, then shrugged nonchalantly. "But even if you knew, you wouldn't know what to say, since I didn't do anything."
"Then why did you ask me to keep it a secret??" Seeker retorted.
