This is a fragmented, chaotic place. The whims of gods and demons have left it scarred. In a world where everything is in disarray, living beings gather, hoping for dawn.

Chapter 235
“But you, buddy, really disgust me,” the Arbiter said softly, a golden shield forming in front of him.
The sword struck his shield, and the impact sent the church flying.
The adjudicator instinctively closed his eyes amidst the airflow, and when he opened them again, there was nothing in front of him.
Oops!
The adjudicator realized he had been distracted; for a moment his mind had gone blank, and he hadn't thought of anything.
This is far too deadly.
He tried to put his hands over his head, but nothing happened.
When he opened his eyes, he found the benevolent one standing in front of him, holding his neck with his hand.
“You hesitated,” the benevolent one said softly. “Why? You are not resolute. We have only fought for less than ten minutes, and you have already wavered in just ten minutes.”
The adjudicator was startled and swung her hand in retaliation, but she had already vanished from the spot.
This time it was behind her. She patted her shoulder with her slender hand, turned around, and prepared to leave.
The saints have now reached a point where they are essentially in a negative position. When one side begins to doubt itself, it is in a state where its abilities cannot be used.
The judge believes in justice, while the benevolent believe only in love.
The Arbiter never imagined he would lose to Benevolence; this fellow had turned away from God and transformed himself into a monster.
But she was so resolute. As she said, she was the embodiment of an angel on earth, and she was the representative of divine actions.
The benevolent one seems to have changed, completely abandoning her previous frivolity and becoming as serious as Benny is now.
Just like a thousand years ago, during the years she became a benevolent person, she was just like she is now.
“You weren’t like this before.” The Arbitrator looked at Benevolence standing behind her. The demonic marks on her body faded, and she tore open her own chest.
Then they dug out a bright red heart from inside.
“Yes, I also took a detour, a long detour,” she said. “Have I told you before? As a benevolent person, I am completely incapable of being angelic.”
The adjudicator paused, looking at her.
"What is that?" He was unfamiliar with the term.
“When a saint uses his abilities perfectly, he becomes like a legendary being,” Benevolence said. “But the immortals can do it, the guardians can do it. Even the newcomers who uphold honor can do it.”
She chuckled and said, "So I felt a little unbalanced and collected magic seals from all over the world to try to strengthen myself."
She tossed the heart she held in her hand toward the Arbiter, who was startled and instinctively caught it, only to find that it was a red crystal.
There is no crystal as clear as this; it is just covered with densely engraved patterns.
"These are all the demonic seals. If they want the demon god seals, they can take them. Those things are useless to anyone, so it doesn't matter who gets them." The Benevolent One said softly, "One demon god is no big deal. I can handle it by myself. I don't even need any assistants."
The judge looked at the crystal, and watched as the benevolent one walked to the Ghost Lord's side, picked up his clothes and put them on.
"Finished fighting?" Ghost Duke opened his eyes and looked at himself.
He wasn't in too bad a state; at least this time, he wouldn't be completely clean after recovering. His clothes were just a bit tattered.
"It's over." The Benevolent One dressed himself in normal clothes, all his holy power vanished, smiled at him, and pulled him up from the ground.
"Huh? That guy really is strong." Ghost Duke put his hands behind his back and looked at the bewildered guy standing in the distance: "After all, the surroundings have become like this."
But when I woke up, everything around me had changed completely. Everywhere I looked, there were collapsed fields and rocks floating in the sky.
Everything looked so amazing, as if it were a completely different world.
"Yes, they're very strong." The benevolent one seemed quite approachable. "You had a great day, are you going to play chess again when you get back?"
"Hey? Do you need me to let you have a turn?"
"Do as you please, I don't care about winning or losing."
"That being said, you still want to win, right?"
"Haha, yeah, I really want to beat you. But not if you let me win."
The two chatted as they walked further and further away, until Judgment sat silently on the ground, looking at the crystal.
Such a red crystal looks so alluring; could it be made from someone's heart?
I never thought she was a beautiful thing. She was a pervert who liked to skin people alive, dismember them, and cut off their limbs. But after only a year, she seemed like a completely different person.
Is it because of that guy?
The Arbiter recalled the man called Ghost Duke, whose image in his memory was not good; he only knew that he was a rather strange fellow.
Can spending a lot of time with this kind of person change a person?
I don't know, I'm not sure.
He just felt so shaken. He had thought he had found so-called justice, but now he suddenly felt lost like never before.
On the way, the benevolent man remained calm, occasionally glancing back to see if Ghost Duke was following behind him.
She thought she would become more irritable because of this guy, but on the contrary, she felt calm and peaceful.
It's really strange. There's this guy who keeps saying weird things to mock her, but she doesn't seem angry at all.
This guy made her realize just how ordinary she really was.
I've always taken myself too seriously, even though I'm just a mortal. I've never been to heaven, nor have I been to hell.
The purpose of living is to be able to die, and in this respect, I am no different from anyone else.
They all experience pain and loneliness; they live only to die, without goals or ideals.
So ordinary, so seemingly useless.
"By the way, Ghost Lord, are you planning to find a partner?" the Benevolent One casually asked. "Are you interested in doing...?"
"Not interested."
The benevolent one paused, then turned to look at the Ghost Lord, whose expression remained completely unchanged.
"Really?" She smiled. "Is there something wrong with me?"
“Because there’s nothing I can do. It’s a little selfish of me to say, but I want my girlfriend to be able to rely on me.” Ghost Duke shrugged. “There are always things in the world, right? There are things that only I can do. Whenever something like this happens, she comes to me, and I help her like a savior. Of course, I also need help a lot of times, but not like we are now: I can’t even do this kind of thing properly.”
“Is that so? That makes sense.” The benevolent man shrugged. “Anyway, you have nowhere else to go.”
“Yes, at least I have to stay with you until you hate me and throw me out.” Ghost Duke paused, then said softly, “Perhaps until I die? If I’m going to die.”
......
The scales began to fall off, and the flesh and blood of the whole body began to disintegrate.
Its body, hot as magma, began to disintegrate, and the enormous black dragon began to die.
Only after the final creature completely disintegrated did the charred girl fall to the ground from the black dragon's body.
Her body was pierced by chains, and a spear pierced her heart.
As for her, Lady stood at a distance watching her.
As for herself, her whole body was covered in wounds; she was severely injured and her body was covered in injuries.
The Guardians really didn't need to pay her any attention. There were simply too many high-ranking priests here, and for their current lineup to come here would be nothing short of suicide.
Lady slowly walked over and lay down next to Deedrie.
She looked at the man next to her, who had been burned to a crisp, and chuckled to herself.
This thing, apart from its magic core, has turned completely charred. This is bad; this isn't how a cute young girl should look.
But who should I say this to?
I had given up on everything, but this is still the ending.
Who should we blame? Who should we resent?
I don't know, I'm not sure.
She just felt so tired. She looked at the sky, waiting for her death.
But she waited for more than ten minutes, until she was a little tired, and then the sky started to pour rain because of the commotion. The two of them were submerged in the puddles.
Lady paused, looking at her own body.
He has fully recovered and is completely unharmed.
It's as brand new as when I first arrived here.
She glanced at Deedris beside her; though Deedris's nose was about to be submerged in water, she had fully recovered. The clothes she had been wearing were charred and melted into the water and onto her body, leaving a blackened mess. Beneath this blackened mess lay a beautiful, voluptuous body.
"I didn't see anything." A smug voice rang out, and Lady turned to look at the guy who was walking over carrying two stacks of clothes.
That was Ghost Duke. His eyes had become bloody holes. In the heavy rain, he was soaked to the bone, and blood mixed with rainwater made half of his face red.
What's going on here?
"I've gouged out my eyes, so you can rest assured I won't look around aimlessly." Ghost Duke gave a thumbs up. "But can you help me? My ability to locate sounds is limited to finding a place to kneel down and bring you clothes."
Lady paused, looked up, and in the heavy rain, she could barely make out the white-clad figure standing outside the pit.
“I asked others to hand you over to me,” the Merciful One said with a light laugh as Lady stood before him, carrying a blanket and dressed Deedri.
In the heavy rain, Ghost Duke climbed out of the pit. Once the two of them had some shelter, his eyesight had returned, although seeing anything in the rain was already quite difficult.
But it's still slightly better than being bathed in darkness.
"Who are you?" Lady looked at the Benevolent One and asked hesitantly.
She had no grudge against this guy; she and Arkbeni were fighting the Immortals back then, and she didn't know what kind of monster the Benevolent One was.
Dedeline should be very familiar with this guy, and is well aware that this thing is inherently perverted.
"You destroyed all my collection, and I'm furious," the benevolent one said, though she showed no sign of anger.
"So?" Lady asked, a little wary.
“You were almost dead when I saved you, right? If so, there’s no need for so many questions. Whatever you want to do, at least you should find a place to rest in this awful weather.” The Benevolent One paused and said, “Do you have a place to rest? Do you need me to take you there?”
Lady stood there dumbfounded, watching her smile at her.
He wasn't a pervert like others described at all; on the contrary, he seemed to be the most normal person I'd met recently.
"Huh? You abused me for a long time back then," Ghost Duke casually remarked, feigning indignation. "Are you this nice to girls?"
"Otherwise what?" The Benevolent One smiled helplessly, looking at Ghost Duke and saying, "Don't you know this man? Don't you two plan to chat a bit more?"
Ghost Duke glanced at Lady, but she didn't look back and simply walked away silently.
"Forget it, I don't have any ulterior motives towards guys who are this good-looking." Ghost Duke said very frankly, "Besides, I don't think I left any impression on anyone on the carriage."
"I remember you."
"Thank you so much," Ghost Duke said casually, his reaction to her words unreadable.
“You seem to have changed little since then.” Lady turned to look at Ghost Duke and said, “You were just as carefree back then.”
"Yes, yes, I haven't changed much." The Ghost Queen rested her head on her hand and looked at her, saying, "But is the change really a good thing? You've changed completely. I remember the first time I met you, you were a kind-hearted, a little naive, completely innocent girl. But now, you've become what you are now. How do you feel?"
"I don't feel good. I only feel lonely."
"This isn't just a direct feeling; everyone feels lonely eventually, it's just a matter of time," Ghost Duke said with a light laugh. "It's good that you're still alive. Remember what I said back then? I hoped you could live. Someone who has both a good personality and good looks, I always hope she lives a long life. You're still alive, and it seems that, given your current state, you won't die easily, right? It's good, it's good that you can continue to live, it's good."
He said "That's great!" three times in a row, becoming more and more cheerful.
Shouldn't he be happy? He almost felt that God was going to torture him again after this incident, but to his surprise, God seemed to have softened and let him see the people he had hoped to survive again.
Is there anything luckier than this?
There probably aren't any left. This is truly a stroke of good fortune.
As Ghost Duke thought this, he felt happy, and his previous bad mood dissipated.
“You’re a rather eccentric fellow,” Lady said softly, looking at him.
In the heavy rain, the sound was very soft. Ghost Duke walked ahead, perhaps he didn't hear it, or perhaps he did, but he had no idea how to respond.
