Keyboard Immortal

A lightning strike transmigrated Zu An into another world. In that world, he was known as the tr*sh of Brightmoon City, but for some reason, he was married to the gorgeous and highly talented daugh...

Chapter 2 Murderous Intent

Seeing his blank expression, Chu Chuyan said calmly, "No matter where you learned it from, don't ask about anything related to it in the future, or you will be in danger of being killed."

Zuan clicked his tongue in amazement. "My goodness, this unknown place seems to be something special."

But he immediately realized, "This keyboard is a trap! Even asking about it could be fatal, so where am I supposed to find some secret manual to unlock it?"

Forget it, even without a cheat code, as a transmigrator, where can't I get ahead? Besides, I'm given such a beautiful wife right from the start, what more could I ask for?

As for his wife seeming somewhat distant, that's not a problem. With the methods he'd seen online before, and with role models like Xiang Shaolong, Wei Xiaobao, and Song Qingshu as examples, he could melt even the most icy person's heart.

The thought of sharing a bed with such a heavenly woman that night made his heart race.

Don't get excited, wipe your drool, and mind your manners!

Fearing that it would arouse suspicion, Zu'an did not ask any further questions. The other party was obviously not interested in talking to him anymore, so he looked out the window at the scenery along the way.

Before long, the city wall came into view in the distance. Judging from its size, it would have been considered a large city in ancient China.

As he passed by the city gate, he noticed the words "Bright Moon City" written on it. He thought he should find a chance to buy a map to see where the city was located on the continent. The original owner of this body was too useless; he didn't even know these basic geographical facts.

Observing the city's appearance along the way, although it couldn't compare to the modern cities of his previous life, it was still a bustling and prosperous place. However, what amazed him the most was that the carriage was not bumpy at all, as smooth as if he were sitting in a top-of-the-line luxury car in his previous life.

He noticed some faintly glowing blue lines flowing inside the carriage, looking like circuit boards.

Zuan was secretly shocked: Is this the legendary magic array? To use it in a carriage is truly extravagant.

Before I knew it, I had arrived in front of a large mansion. The first thing I saw were two huge stone sculptures. I didn’t know what kind of animals they were. They looked like lions but not lions, and like tigers but not tigers. They had a strange aura about them.

The carriage stopped, and the woman in white stepped down gracefully, walking directly through the gate. Zu An secretly glanced at her and saw the words "Chu Mansion" on the plaque. He couldn't help but mutter to himself, "Has my life been far too miserable? I'm actually living in a woman's house? Isn't that like being a live-in son-in-law? No wonder those people were pointing and whispering earlier."

He instinctively wanted to follow, but Xue'er stopped him: "Do you think you can go through the main gate? Go through the side gate yourself."

Zuan was taken aback: "Why can't I use the main entrance?"

Xue'er pouted: "This main gate is for the Chu family. How can you, a son-in-law who has married into the family, be qualified to use it? Aren't you afraid of bringing bad luck to the family?"

Zuan looked at her quietly: "With such a sharp tongue, your boyfriend must have uremia, right?"

Although Xue'er didn't quite understand the implication, she knew it wasn't anything nice, and she was furious. She grabbed his collar and pretended to hit him.

Before her fist could even land, Zu'an had already fallen at his feet, groaning and crying out in pain.

"I haven't even hit him yet?" Xue'er was completely bewildered; she'd never seen such a staged accident scam before.

Chu Chuyan turned around and said, "You have no manners. No matter what, he is still the son-in-law of the family. You are not allowed to treat him like this in the future."

Xue'er looked aggrieved but dared not refute, "Yes."

Chu Chuyan glanced at Zu An: "You can get up now, right?"

Zuan scrambled to his feet, chuckling as he said, "You're the only one who knows how to care about me."

Chu Chuyan frowned, subconsciously took a step back to increase the distance between them, turned around and walked inside, her voice soft as she said, "Father and Mother are still waiting inside, don't waste any more time."

"You did such a thing last night, and now you're acting like nothing happened? Have you no shame? Just wait and see how Master and Madam deal with you!" Xue'er glared at him fiercely and ran over to help her young mistress up.

Zuan then remembered the whispers in the crowd: "This guy apparently slept with his sister-in-law last night? This is a hellish start!"

Zuan rolled his eyes, then clutched his head and cried out, "Ouch, my head hurts so much..." He then collapsed onto the two women.

To everyone's surprise, the two women simply stepped aside, leaving him to fall to the ground.

Zuan was in so much pain that tears were almost coming out, but he didn't dare to cry out. It seemed that the same trick wouldn't work after two tries. The people here weren't honest at all; they had already gone bad so quickly.

"Why didn't you catch him?" Chu Chuyan glared at Xue'er, annoyed.

Xue'er pouted: "Miss didn't accept it either, and I think he was probably faking it."

Chu Chuyan glanced down at Zu An and finally said, "I heard he was struck by lightning today. He might really be feeling unwell. Take him back to his room to rest and help him wash up. I'll go tell my parents." With that, she drifted away.

Helpless, Xue'er had no choice but to instruct two servants to find a stretcher and carry Zu'an to the other side.

Zu An, who was on the stretcher, was secretly puzzled. On his wedding night, he had climbed into his sister-in-law's bed, but Chu Chuyan hadn't questioned him at all the way, and there was no anger in her eyes.

"Is this sister probably not even related by blood?" Zu An speculated maliciously.

Along the way, we passed through a hanging flower gate, a long corridor, and a bunch of artificial hills, and arrived at a pavilion. We were all dizzy from walking around. Suddenly, Xue'er said, "Let's put him here first. Come with me to get some water to wash him up."

Hearing the footsteps fade away, Zu An quietly opened his eyes and found himself placed in a pavilion by the pond. Seeing that no one was around, he got up and saw a reflection in the water. He then realized that his hair was disheveled and his face was charred. No wonder his cheap wife had looked at him with disgust earlier.
