Keyboard Immortal

A lightning strike transmigrated Zu An into another world. In that world, he was known as the tr*sh of Brightmoon City, but for some reason, he was married to the gorgeous and highly talented daugh...

Chapter 23 Ignorance is bliss

Seeing this, the second prince was quite satisfied.

A long, long time ago, he knew that the throne did not belong to him, but to his elder brother.

If it were just because he was not as intelligent or talented as the other party, that would be one thing, but he was clearly no less capable in these two aspects, and even better in some. Just because his mother was not the empress, was he destined not to become the emperor?

He was resentful, but he knew that the Demon Emperor had no chance of passing the position to him.

Since you won't give it to me, I'll just take it myself.

So a long, long time ago, he volunteered to join the army for training.

Because of the frequent battles with humans, and the fact that humans had the upper hand, the army was actually quite dangerous, with a very high casualty rate.

Let alone princes, even nobles with some power in the royal court were unwilling to let their sons join the army.

But he went without hesitation and grew into one of the four great generals of the demon race.

Even so, his father never gave him a second glance, treating him only as a sharp knife in the future hands of the crown prince, to be commanded by him to expand the territory after the crown prince ascends the throne.

He understood all of this, so he took advantage of his time leading troops to bribe various experts.

Leaving aside the other experts, there were four Grandmasters.

Although Duan Tianchou had a high level of cultivation, he was the easiest of the four to win over.

The night elves and the elves have a blood feud, and now the elves are one of the three royal families in the royal court, representing the officialdom. Therefore, the night elves naturally represent darkness.

The night elves can only hope for a change in the royal court and a complete reshuffling of power if they want to change all of this.

So the two hit it off immediately.

Uncle Liu wasn't too difficult to persuade. He valued longevity and, having just joined the Elders' Council, he hadn't forgotten the world like those old fogies. So, as long as you catered to his interests, persuading him was a natural thing to do.

When Black Tooth Broken Fang was desperate, and his first wife was also from the Black Tooth family, it wouldn't have been difficult to recruit him. The real challenge was that after recruiting him, everyone hated him because he ate living beings, not ordinary animals, but beings with cultivation, whether human or demon.

If he doesn't get food for a day, he'll turn on you and refuse to acknowledge you. There's probably no one in this world who can afford to support him.

Fortunately, he was leading troops in battle, which gave him more room to maneuver. For example, he could take human prisoners or criminals in the army who were subject to military law. If that wasn't enough, he could find a remote village, impersonate a human or a ferocious beast, plunder it, and then use the villagers inside to fill the stomachs of Black Teeth Broken Teeth.

Mr. Bat is the most troublesome; even among vampires, he is a notorious figure.

He once took in many disciples, and enslaved them to capture masters to feed on.

To this end, a set of complicated assessment standards were established. The top three disciples in terms of performance would receive generous rewards, while those in the middle would not be rewarded or punished. However, the disciple with the worst performance each year would suffer a terrible fate, as he would have his life essence drained away.

And so, a group of disciples worked themselves to the bone, 996, with no one wanting to be the unlucky one left behind.

The disciples were locked in fierce infighting. Some had considered rebelling or escaping, but none succeeded. Instead, they met even more tragic ends, unable to live or die.

Over the decades, it is said that only one disciple successfully escaped, and his name was Mosquito Taoist. He was a fearsome demon among both the demon and human races.

If even one disciple is this capable, one can only imagine how capable the master must be.

However, Mr. Bat's perverse ways eventually became unbearable for his disciples, who, together with his enemies, successfully overthrew his rule.

That battle was extremely fierce; almost all of the disciples were killed or wounded, and Mr. Bat was seriously injured and fled.

The second prince saved him by chance. Of course, he knew that this kind of devil would never feel grateful for saving his life, so he never took credit for it and instead used benefits to bind the other party.

Previously, he had to rely on enslaving his disciples to help him find targets for drug use, but now the Second Prince has far more manpower and resources at his disposal, so Mr. Bat is naturally happy to stay here.

However, for the Second Prince, taking him in was the most difficult task, because this guy's thirst for blood was no less than Black Tooth's need for flesh and blood. The key point was that Black Tooth swallowed everything, which in a way could be considered destroying the evidence.

Mr. Bat only sucks blood and doesn't eat meat. The characteristics of the creatures he feeds on are very obvious. Once exposed, even if he is a prince, it would be quite troublesome. So every time, he not only has to find someone to secretly find prey, but also has to help clean up the mess. It is truly a miserable experience.

These four grandmasters are very powerful, but the price they paid was too high, and while the Demon Emperor was alive, they would never dare to make any unusual moves.

Sometimes the second prince even doubted whether it was worthwhile to invest so much and find a few people who dared not attack his father.

As fate would have it, the emperor died unexpectedly in the secret realm.

All that was left was that arrogant crown prince. What else could he say? Let's do it!

Even so, he hadn't let Blacktooth and Mr. Bat make a move, since those two villains were too infamous and could easily bring him negative consequences.

But now he was out of options. He never expected that the other side would have three Grandmasters!

He knew that the longer it dragged on, the more variables would arise, so he decisively let the two of them take action.

As for the subsequent impact, once he becomes the Demon Emperor, he won't even need to give the order; countless people below will automatically help him resolve these troubles.

This Mr. Bat's cultivation is truly domineering; even from this distance, the blood in my veins is stirring.
