"It felt quite comfortable to touch, I forgot about it for a moment," Zu An chuckled awkwardly, quickly changing the subject. "Where were we? Oh, I'm the kind of person who does good deeds anonymously, but you seem like a kind-hearted person, and you're so earnestly asking for my help. If I don't tell you the name of my savior, I'm afraid you'll have trouble sleeping and eating. I'm always soft-hearted and don't want you to be in such a difficult position. Upon hearing his words, a glint flashed in Yu Yanluo's eyes: "You suspect them?"

Yu Yanluo: "..."

Yu Yanluo wasn't annoyed. She smiled slightly and said, "Although your strength is not bad, you probably need to work hard for a few more years if you want to be my man. This jade pendant is a token, so that you won't be stopped by my subordinates when you come to find me."

Zuan put the jade pendant into his pocket: "Then you'd better wait a few years before I come back to be your man."

Yu Yanluo chuckled to herself. For some reason, she wasn't angry at all that the young man in front of her was so straightforward.

The two returned to the vicinity of the carriage and noticed that Ji Xiaoxi was kneeling next to a group of guards, bandaging their wounds. Zu An was startled: "How can they move?"

Ji Xiaoxi blinked: "I've lifted the restrictions on them. Also, their injuries are quite severe and need immediate treatment."

"Thank you so much, Miss Ji." The guards thanked her profusely, each one sincere, while secretly thinking to themselves, how could such a fairy-like girl be associating with that demon-like figure? They were worried that he might corrupt her.

"Actually, I wasn't much of a help," Ji Xiaoxi replied hastily. "By the way, my dad seems to really like you. I thought you two had met before."

Yu Yanluo was taken aback. She didn't have any recollection of her. Over the years, it was often men who had seen her who had fallen in love with her, but she hadn't remembered many of them. Perhaps Ji Dengtu was one of them. However, she couldn't say it in front of his daughter. She just smiled slightly and said, "Perhaps we've met before, but I've been busy lately and have forgotten many things from the past."

Just then, the sound of horses' hooves approached. Zu An's expression changed, but Yu Yanluo smiled and comforted him, "Don't worry, judging by the time, it should be my men arriving."

"Your family's affairs are too complicated, I won't get involved. Farewell, I'll come back to the Yu family to collect my debts another day." After saying that, Zu An pulled Ji Xiaoxi away.

"Huh, they just left like that?" Ji Xiaoxi was completely confused. They had been having a great chat.

Ji Xiaoxi was led away from the valley and into the forest by him. Seeing that he was holding her hand the whole time, she couldn't help but blush: "Your hand is poisoned again."
