A lightning strike transmigrated Zu An into another world. In that world, he was known as the tr*sh of Brightmoon City, but for some reason, he was married to the gorgeous and highly talented daugh...
After he had vented his anger, his trusted aide said, "At least Miss Xiao Tuo has sent out a lot of information during this time, so it's not too bad... a huge loss."
He couldn't find a suitable word for a moment, but after thinking about it, he felt that it was not a loss and was quite appropriate.
Lian's face was gloomy: "Xiao Tuo has indeed made great contributions. Based on that intelligence, we have prepared a response, haven't we?"
The confidant nodded and said, "Targeted arrangements have been made, and a group of ministers whom Wu Ding deliberately suppressed have also been won over."
"That's good." Lian's expression softened slightly. "By the way, there's one more thing that needs to be done, and I need you to go there in person."
"High Priest, please give your orders. I will go through fire and water for you!" the subordinate hurriedly said, bowing.
Looking towards the palace, she imagined her childhood sweetheart being pinned down by Wu Ding, her clenched fists digging into her flesh: "Find a way to inform Fu Hao at the front, tell her that she had only just left when that tyrant took other women as concubines and was indulging in debauchery in the palace all day long."
The confidant's eyes lit up, and he couldn't help but exclaim, "The High Priest's plan is brilliant. It has sown discord between the couple. Even if Fu Hao returns victorious in the future, their relationship will never be the same again. Fu Hao's fiefdom is powerful, making her the most solid ally of Wu Ding's lineage. If even Fu Hao doesn't support him, he's completely finished."
He was filled with emotion. He had been somewhat critical of the high priest when he saw him send his beloved woman to the palace, but now he realized that the high priest was truly farsighted.
Lian also sneered: "What woman in the world doesn't get jealous? Just act naturally and don't arouse Fu Hao's suspicion."
The trusted aide cupped his hands in a respectful gesture: "Understood!"
"Go quickly." Lian waved his hand. After planning for so long, it's almost time to close the net. Besides Fu Hao, it's time to give that tyrant a taste of his own medicine.
A few days later, Zu'an was lying in Xiao Tuo's soft arms, and the other person was peeling grapes one by one and feeding them to him.
Just as Zu'an was marveling at how blissful these days were, someone outside the palace suddenly had an urgent message to report.
"What secret report could you have so late at night? I'm not seeing you." Zu'an was a little impatient and refused directly. Then he turned over and buried his head in Xiao Tuo's arms.
Xiao Tuo, standing to the side, blushed slightly and said softly, "Your Majesty, matters of state are of utmost importance. The fact that someone has come to see you so late must mean something significant has happened."
She had already received notification from Lian and knew what important matter it was, so naturally she had to cooperate.
Feeling the other person lying relaxed in her arms, Xiao Tuo sighed inwardly. After spending time with him, she realized that this man was not as bad as she had thought before; on the contrary, he was quite nice to her.
At first, she resisted his advances, but later, even though she didn't want to, her body began to instinctively respond to him. After some time, she was even unsure whether her heart was willing or not.
"No, I love Brother Lian. I entered the palace to help him succeed. I must not be deceived by this foolish emperor." She kept telling herself.
During this time, she took advantage of their intimacy to secretly examine many of the king's confidential documents and overheard his conversations with his confidants. She then relayed all of this out of the palace to Lian, and now there is no turning back.
"Alright, since Xiao Tuo said so, then I'll meet him." Zu An smiled and gestured for the person outside to come in.
Seeing his smile, Xiao Tuo felt a little dazed. This guy was really good to her, which made her feel guilty towards him.
Soon a man came in to report. He was a mid-level general in Wu Ding's army. He had risked his life to return and inform him of the great changes that had occurred at the front.
It turned out that not long after Fu Hao learned that the king had taken a new wife, she was out risking her life every day while the king was indulging in debauchery in the palace. Fu Hao was furious, and many of her subordinates were also indignant, urging her to establish her own household.
Many of Wu Ding's elite troops learned of the situation and, fearing trouble, sent someone back to inform the king, urging him to make preparations as soon as possible and, ideally, to replace Fu Hao as general before she made up her mind to rebel.
After listening to his report, Zu An looked amused and tapped his fingers lightly on the table.
Upon seeing this, Xiao Tuo hurriedly ran to the side and knelt down: "Your Majesty, it's all my fault. I've caused a rift between Your Majesty and the Queen. I beg Your Majesty to hand me over to the Queen for her to decide."
Upon hearing her words, Zu'an's eyes turned cold. On the surface, she was apologizing, but in reality, she was subtly confirming the discord between the Queen and the King. If it were someone else, they might have really fallen for her trick.
He turned to the general beside him: "Are you sure you heard the Queen had rebellious intentions?"
The man explained, "The Queen doesn't have a clear stance right now, but she's clearly hesitant. Plus, with her confidants egging her on, she could turn on us at any moment and come back to Yindu to change the world."
"You're quite clever. You know I wouldn't believe you if you said the Queen had rebelled, so you used such ambiguous words to make me guess." Zuan smiled.
The general was taken aback, and Xiao Tuo next to him also frowned slightly, feeling that something was not right.
Zu An shouted, "Guards! Drag this scoundrel away and kill him!"
According to the Shang Dynasty's punishments, he could have been made into a human sacrifice, but Zu'an couldn't bear it and decided it was better to let him die a quick death.
Soon two tall guards came in, one of them grabbing one of his hands and dragging the man away.
"I'm innocent, Your Majesty! Everything I said is true!" The man struggled desperately, but he couldn't break free.
Zu An ignored him, only marveling at the impressive skill of these palace guards. The general was no ordinary man, yet he was utterly powerless against the combined attack of two guards.
