But she also knew that they couldn't be blamed for it.

"Still not surrendering? It seems Miss Jiang thinks I wouldn't dare kill anyone." King Wu sneered and gave his subordinates a look.

Seeing this, Changfu understood and slashed at a member of the Jiang family who hadn't begged for mercy. Killing such a person would probably cause more harm to Jiang Luofu.

"Stop!" At the same time, a sharp shout rang out.

Yun Yuqing frowned: "Now that the Jiang family has surrendered, how can we continue to kill these unarmed people?"

Jiang Luofu glanced at her gratefully. She had indeed been forced into a corner by the King of Wu. If she resisted, her clansmen would die. If she didn't resist, she would feel resentful. Now that the Queen of Wu had spoken up for her, the lives of her clansmen were likely to be saved.

King Wu frowned: "If she surrenders, I will not kill the Jiang family. It all depends on how much these people mean to her."

Upon hearing his words, many people in the Jiang household hurriedly called out to Jiang Luofu, fearing that she might act impulsively.

Jiang Luofu was taken aback. She and Zu An were friends? What exactly was their relationship?

But he didn't have the energy to think about that right now. After letting out a long sigh, he threw the pointer aside.

The King of Wu had just threatened her with the lives of the Jiang family, leaving her with no way out. Now, at least the Queen Consort of Wu has given her a choice.

Yun Yuqing's maidservant went over and pressed Jiang Luofu's pressure points, and was about to bring her to the princess's side when the King of Wu suddenly blocked the way: "Give her to me first."

Upon hearing this, Jiang Luofu's expression changed.

Her expression and demeanor stung the King of Wu: "I'm doing all this for our great cause. Once we've eliminated these arrogant and powerful families in the capital, I'll become emperor, and you'll be empress."

“I don’t care if you want to deal with other people, but you can’t touch Jiang Luofu.” Yun Yuqing stated her position. “She is a teacher in the back mountain of the academy. The academy has always had a superior status. You shouldn’t touch her.”

Upon hearing this, King Wu became somewhat angry: "Is it because she is a member of the academy, or because she is a friend of Zu An?"
