"But, but I don't know you."

The sound of the flowing water was mixed with grievance and fear.

The man in black, also known as Zhui Ming, clicked his tongue.

He said in a slightly threatening tone, "I'm giving you one last chance. Otherwise, you'll never see those notebooks again in your life."

Upon hearing this, the girl remained silent for a long time.

She stared straight at the man in front of her.

His once innocent eyes suddenly turned deep and dark, like a bottomless lake.

She relaxed completely, looking at the man in front of her defiantly.

Zhui Ming failed to injure her vital organs;

She wasn't unconscious for that long;

How could she have amnesia?

Just then, there was a knock on her door.

"Hey girl, I heard some noise coming from your room. Are you alright?"

Wu Fangming's voice rang out from outside the door.

Chuanliu immediately said in a clear voice, "I'm fine, Brother Fang Ming, I just had a dream."

"Okay, call me anytime if you need anything."

Seeing that she was alright, Wu Fangming left.

Zhuiming watched the girl act while shaking his head.

"Chuanliu, Chuanliu, it's such a waste that you're not an actor. Do you know that everyone outside thinks you really have amnesia? You even fooled Qian Chuan and Wu Fangming?"

"Thank you for the compliment."

Chuanliu simply said it casually.

Zhui Ming tilted his head to the side. "Who praised you... Never mind that. You should know why I'm here today."

Chuanliu rolled out of bed, imitated Zhuiming by leaning against the wall, and then spread out one hand.

It means: Give it to me.

The latter was speechless with emotion.

"I spent half a day and a lot of time being your gigolo, and you saved someone, ruined my big deal, and then treated me like a laborer, helping you move things?"

He didn't realize it at the time, but the more he thought about it, the more something seemed off.

Chuanliu kept saying he was cooperating with him, but what he did didn't seem to revolve around his assassination plan.

When she followed the clues left by Chuanliu and found the secret room that only Susan knew about, and when Chuanliu, even when injured and about to faint, insisted that she take the notebooks, Chuanliu's true purpose was finally revealed.

Her collaboration with him wasn't about any so-called "not killing her afterwards" agreement; it was about finding those notebooks.

Or perhaps her initial goal was simply to get into Susan's villa.

Chuanliu suddenly appeared and "was injured," sending Qian Chuan and Susan's people away to create an opportunity for himself, and then openly searched the villa.

Chuanliu achieved her goal according to her own plan.

And the pursuit of life...

He then became a pure manual laborer.

Zhuiming has come here today to confront Chuanliu and demand an explanation.

Chuanliu pursed his lips and withdrew his hand.

She did indeed outmaneuver Zhui Ming; when she saw the materials in Susan's secret room, she knew she had to bring Zhui Ming on board.

She said.

"The 200,000 that Jiulong should have paid me."

Zhuiming imitated Chuanliu and spread out his hands.

Chuanliu slapped him with his palm, leaving a debit card in Zhuiming's hand.

Zhuiming winced in pain, shaking his hand, a triumphant smile spreading across his face.

When Susan handed the wooden box to Chuanliu, Chuanliu took the other cards, leaving only the "10 of Diamonds," and then showed it to her when he had the chance.

Zhuiming didn't take out his notebook, but instead made a V-sign with his hand.

"Second, give me a legitimate identity so I can stay by your side."

"What did you say?"

Chuanliu seemed not to believe his ears.

Zhuiming chuckled and rested his hands on the foot of the bed. "To be honest, I've looked at those lousy notebooks. They're just records of past residents, and the names and information aren't even complete."

I'm just curious, what's the value of what you're going to such lengths to get your hands on?

Chuanliu stared at him, his mind racing.

Once she gets the notebook, she'll know who the real "kid" is, and then she'll definitely contact the WD Investigation Bureau to plan her departure from the island.

If Chasing Life were allowed to stay by his side at all times, he would definitely notice something amiss, and then his departure from the island would be exposed, which would be too risky for Chuanliu.

The girl forced a smile. "I've already paid two hundred thousand as the price for not fulfilling the cooperation agreement. Do you think I care that much about these material things? Don't be ridiculous."

Before Zhuiming could answer, she pushed him off the balcony. "You've finished your rant. If you don't leave now, I'm going to call for help."

"Huh? Huh?"

Zhuiming called out softly, but received no response from Chuanliu.
