Chapter 268 Jiang Ran Arrives

Lin Xi held her breath, forgetting to breathe. She never imagined she would be proposed to in bed.

The ceremony was simple, but the engagement ring was anything but; it's not fair to say Song Xu didn't put his heart into it.

Touching the diamond ring on her hand, she realized she couldn't take back her words, "What if you change your mind later?"

“Then let me never get hard again,” Song Xu said firmly.

Lin Xi chuckled, "You're really ruthless to yourself."

“If I change my mind, you can castrate me yourself. If you can’t have me, no one else will want me either,” Song Xu said, placing his face in Lin Xi’s hands. “Xi Xi, promise me.”

Lin Xi had a lot of confidence in herself and Song Xu. Uncle Song was so devoted to Aunt Xu, so Song Xu should be just as good.

“Okay,” Lin Xi touched Song Xu’s face, “I promise you.”

Song Xu raised his head, his eyes shining like stars. He stood up and sat down next to Lin Xi, running his fingers through her hair along her ear, cupping her head, and gazing deeply into her eyes. "Xi Xi, I love you!"

After saying that, he lowered his head and kissed Lin Xi.

As they kissed, Lin Xi's clothes disappeared. Panting, she raised her hand to stop Song Xu's next move, "Song Xu, we just did it this afternoon."

“Baby,” Song Xu whispered in Lin Xi’s ear, “You’ve already had lunch, are you not going to eat dinner? You’ll get hungry if you don’t eat, I’m hungry right now.”

"Nonsense!" Lin Xi snorted coldly. If Song Xu ate his fill, she would be exhausted.

The afternoon was too short; he hadn't had enough fun. He was determined to enjoy sleeping with Xixi properly since it was such a rare opportunity.

“I brought some,” Song Xu said, taking out four or five small packages from his pocket. “I threw away the boxes, so this way they don’t take up much space.”

Lin Xi covered her face. She was truly amazed by Song Xu; he actually carried this thing with him everywhere.

With no reason to refuse Song Xu anymore, Lin Xi completely let go. To be honest, she also missed Song Xu quite a bit.

Anyway, tomorrow is the weekend, so she doesn't have to get up early or go to school. Most importantly, her brother isn't home.

"Ranran, you're home!" Lin Xi answered the phone and asked happily.

Jiang Ran remained silent for several seconds on the other end of the line. "Xi Xi, am I dreaming? You're actually my cousin!"

"Do you really want this to be a dream?" Lin Xi asked with a smile.

“Of course not,” Jiang Ran said excitedly. “I just can’t accept so many things right now. Xi Xi, where are you? I want to see you and Auntie.”

"I'll send you the location of the Lu family's place. Something happened to my brother, and my mother and I can't go out. We'll have to trouble you to make the trip," Lin Xi said apologetically.

"No trouble at all, I'll bring my brother over. That's it, I'll be there right away." Jiang Ran hung up the phone after saying that.

Lin Xi smiled. Jiang Ran was still her usual impulsive self. After sending the location to Jiang Ran, she patted her cheeks to try and clear her head.

Jiang Ran is coming over, so she needs to tidy up the room a bit. Last night was too wild, and the room is a mess.

Lin Xi walked out of the room and found Zhou Ruolan in the kitchen. "Mom, Ranran called and said she wants to come over with her cousin."

"Mom, don't worry," Lin Xi comforted her. "Maybe my brother will catch up later, and it's not certain who will have their wedding first."

Zhou Ruolan didn't have high hopes, "As long as he and Niannian can have a stable relationship, that's fine."

Not long after Lin Xi finished breakfast, Zhou Jingming and Jiang Ran arrived.

Jiang Ran rushed over to Lin Xi as soon as she saw her and hugged her tightly. "Little cousin Xi Xi, I missed you so much!"

"Ranran, why were you locked up for so long this time?" Lin Xi's voice was choked with emotion. "Do you know how much happened to you while you were at school?"

“I know, I know everything,” Jiang Ran’s eyes reddened. “You suffered so much when you were little and never told me. After hearing your brother’s story, my heart ached for you.”

Lin Xi released Jiang Ran and pulled her in front of Zhou Ruolan. "Ranran, come and meet my mother, your dear aunt."

Jiang Ran saw her aunt's photos at home every day, and today she finally met her in person. She recognized her at a glance. "Auntie, I'm so glad to see you!"

“Ranran,” Zhou Ruolan hugged Jiang Ran and patted her back, “Good girl, thankfully the Zhou family still has you.”
