Hu Qing drove Mei Si and her brother directly to the department store.

"Take whatever you like, I'll pay today!" Hu Qinghao waved his hand generously, letting Mei Si and her brother choose whatever they wanted.

“I want that!” Meisi said, pointing to the roasted chestnuts outside the door.

"Which one?" Hu Qing turned around, intending to see what Mei Xiang wanted so she could buy it directly, but she didn't expect that what Mei Xiang wanted wasn't even in the store.

Mei Jian wiped his face, took a few steps to the side, and acted as if he didn't recognize Mei Si.

"Tch! If you don't have money, don't come in here. What are you pretending to be generous for!" Li Xiaohua rolled her eyes and turned to leave the store.

"Hey? What's wrong with this person? What does it matter to her whether we have money or not?" Hu Qing glared at Li Xiaohua's back, stepped forward, put his arm around Mei Si's shoulder, and led her out to buy roasted chestnuts.

Hu Qing handed a handful of roasted chestnuts to Mei Si, who immediately grabbed one and popped it into her mouth.

"Be careful not to burn your tongue. You're so old, yet you still love to eat. If you don't change this habit, you might get tricked by a bag of food one day."

Hu Qing shook his head and said helplessly.

“My sister is so strong, even a kidnapper can’t subdue her.” Mei Jian thought of what Officer Wei had said yesterday, that the kidnapper on the train was so badly injured he couldn’t even walk.

Hu Qing nodded, agreeing with Mei Jian's words. Hu Qing had been saved twice, and thinking about it afterward, one time could be a coincidence, but two times was definitely impossible.

That pervert is a grown man, after all; he's not so easy to defeat.

Although Hu Qing realized that Mei Si had some unknown abilities, she didn't tell anyone. She had almost harmed Mei Si once already, and she couldn't harm Mei Si again.

Guo Ming was ridiculed for a whole year because of Hu Qing's kidnapping. Everyone said that he had been cuckolded.

Because of this incident, Guo Ming had difficulty finding a partner. Later, he went on a business trip to a neighboring city and met his current wife, Li Xiaohua.

"What's wrong? Is she bothering you?" Li Xiaohua felt a strong sense of crisis when she saw that alluring woman talking to her husband.

She quickly ran to Guo Ming's side, hooked her arm around his, and declared ownership.

"Let's go." Guo Ming gave Hu Qing a final warning look, then pulled Li Xiaohua away.

"Are those two crazy?" Mei Jian thought that Guo Ming and his wife were too self-important. They had only met by chance, but they actually thought that Sister Hu was bothering them.

"Guo Ming? Is he your boyfriend?" Mei Si finally remembered who Guo Ming was. He seemed to have been to the Hu family's house when Sister Hu went missing.

"No! I have absolutely no connection with that kind of person!" Hu Qing shouted excitedly.

"Sister, let's go." Mei Jian tugged at Mei Si's arm, feeling that Hu Qing needed to be alone and that they should leave.

"Why are you leaving?" He took another chestnut and popped it into his mouth, not understanding why Mei Jian wanted to leave.

"Sister Hu is in a bad mood, we should let her be by herself for a while," Mei Jian said in a low voice.

"We're here to have fun, shouldn't we be happy?"

“She just ran into her ex, and that guy is married now, and he also…” Mei Jian tried to explain to Mei Si Hu Qing’s feelings of sadness and frustration at that moment.

"Sorry, I got a little emotional just now, let's go inside!" Hu Qing didn't want someone irrelevant to her to affect her mood, so she took a deep breath, interrupted Mei Jian, and turned to enter the store.

Mei Si nodded and followed Hu Qing into the store.

Hu Qing simply went to a place that sells clothes for the elderly and bought some for her parents.

After filling the trunk, Hu Qing finally felt much better.

"Let's go, let's get some food!" Hu Qing started the car and drove the two of them to a state-run restaurant.

After witnessing Hu Qing's purchasing power, Mei Jian suddenly felt that he should stay away from women and not look for a partner until he had a lot of money.

Mei Si's mouth was never idle all morning. Whenever she saw food for sale, she wanted to eat it. When Hu Qing saw that she wanted to eat, he just took out his money and bought it for her.

This directly resulted in Mei Si not being able to eat lunch. Mei Jian and Hu Qing looked at the table full of food and rubbed their stomachs; they simply couldn't eat anymore.

"Forget it, let's not force ourselves, let's go!" Hu Qing picked up her bag, stood up, and was about to pay the bill.
