"Knock knock!"

There was a knock on the door, followed by a voice from inside: "Coming!"

The door opened, and Gu's mother appeared in the doorway. She looked Gu Fan up and down, her eyes full of surprise: "Son? Why are you back?"

Gu Fan smiled and said, "Isn't it Dragon Boat Festival? I thought I'd come back and visit."

"Hey! It's just a couple of days off, why bother going back and forth? It's a waste of energy and money... Hey?" Just as Gu's mother was about to scold him, she suddenly paused, turned her body slightly, and looked behind Gu Fan.

Gu Fan smiled with narrowed eyes, then pulled Jiang Yumeng, who was hiding behind him, out.

"Come out, my mom found you."

Jiang Yumeng walked out somewhat shyly and said to Aunt Gu apologetically, "Hello, Auntie."

Because of Jiang Yumeng's arrival, the meal was very lavish.

Gu Fan calmly picked up a piece of meat and put it in Jiang Yumeng's bowl: "Eat more meat."

Jiang Yumeng glanced at the two elders discreetly and responded in a muffled voice.

Mrs. Gu smiled and chimed in, "Mengmeng, you need to eat more so you can gain some weight and be healthy. Look at your little body."

"Okay, Auntie."

Jiang Yumeng could only agree.

She even thinks she's fat!

But she is still very well-behaved in front of her elders.

Gu Fan smiled and kept putting food on her plate during the meal. He was very observant and would put more of the dishes she liked on his plate.

Want to lose weight? He won't allow it!

After dinner, Gu's mother wanted to tidy up the room for them, but Gu Fan stopped her, saying, "Mom, you go and rest. We can do it ourselves."
