Clang

The spirit's body slammed heavily onto the shelf.

The powerful impact knocked the entire shelf to the ground, producing a piercing sound.

Qin Jingwen rushed out of the bedroom, clutching her neck. Seeing that the spirit had been injured, she immediately wanted to rush over to save her.

But then she saw the man in black appear before her like a ghostly afterimage.

He grabbed her by the neck and lifted her high into the air.

"Descendant of the Qin family, ha! Today is your death day!"

His voice was hoarse, as harsh as sandpaper scraping the ground.

The spirit coughed up blood and quickly reached for the steel watch on its wrist.

He then clutched his chest and stood up, leaning on the coffee table beside him.

"Old man, what's it like to bully a defenseless little girl? If you're so capable, why don't you continue to fight me one-on-one?"

Yinling stylishly wiped the blood from the corner of his lips with his thumb.

The man in black mechanically turned his head and glanced at the ghost.

In the pitch-black room, only a glint of silver light could be vaguely seen beneath the black cloak.

He was wearing a mask?

"Thump"

The man in black released Qin Jingwen.

A cold, sinister laugh rang out.

“Little girl, since you want to die, I’ll grant your wish. I’ll take care of you first, and then let her go with you.”

As soon as he finished speaking, a cold wind swept by, and the man in black flashed in front of the spirit.

The spirit, barely holding on, clenched its fists and charged forward.

Qin Jingwen leaned against the cold wall, her small face filled with terror.

It's true, it's really true!

He really came for revenge. Everything she had experienced these past few days was not an illusion; someone was really watching her from the shadows.

"Clang!"

The spirit was sent flying again, this time crashing into the wine cabinet. Several bottles of red wine on it shook violently before falling to the ground.

"puff……"

The spirit felt a burning pain in its chest.

A metallic sweetness spread through my mouth, followed by a spurt of blood.

It's over, today is probably her death day.

The man in black flashed in front of her, bent down, and grabbed the spirit's chin with one hand.

In the pitch-black night, the ghost, aided by the moonlight, coldly stared at the pale face beneath the black cloak.

To be precise, it wasn't a face, but a rough human skin mask.

Beneath the mask, those hollow eyes now shot out a cold light.

The spirit chuckled: "Want me? Would you spare me?"

The sinister laughter of the man in black echoed in the silent room.

A hand suddenly lifted the spirit from the ground.

"Kill her, and you'll live."

Qin Jingwen's hair was disheveled, her whole body trembled, and her terrified eyes stared at the Yin Spirit.

The spirit spat out a mouthful of blood, a contemptuous smile playing on its lips.

"Killing my employer is not my style."

"If you don't kill her, you'll die. Have you thought this through?"

The spirit sneered, "Why are you talking so much nonsense? If you're going to kill me, just do it already. I'm waiting to report down to the afterlife."

Seeing that the spirit showed no fear, the man in black realized his plan had failed and threw the spirit to the ground.

He then turned around and slowly moved in front of Qin Jingwen.

He picked up a fruit knife from the coffee table and threw it in front of Qin Jingwen.

"Kill her, and you'll live."

Qin Jingwen lowered her gaze, staring intently at the gleaming knife.

After a moment of silence, he raised his head and glanced at the man in black.

He then shakily picked up the knife, his gaze stiffening as he turned to the spirit.

The spirit couldn't help but roll its eyes.

"Holy crap, Qin Jingwen, are you serious?"

Qin Jingwen walked step by step toward the Yin Spirit: "If I don't kill you, I won't live either. So, Yin Spirit, I'm sorry."

The ghostly spirit spat out a mouthful of blood: "Are you stupid? Even if you kill me, he won't let you go. Otherwise, what would this ghostly thing be after following you every day? If it's after your beauty, it would have already done it, okay?"

Qin Jingwen remained silent, holding the knife in both hands, looking at the Yin Spirit, and blinking rapidly.

He then suddenly turned around and stabbed at the man in black.

The man in black was caught off guard. By the time he reacted, Qin Jingwen's knife was just a hair's breadth away from his abdomen.

He suddenly raised his hand to block, and the dagger was knocked away, leaving his hand slashed.

"A feint? This little girl is indeed a descendant of the Qin family. She's weak and helpless, yet she's thinking of a desperate counterattack?"

The black-clad man's eerie and chilling voice became increasingly terrifying.

He chuckled sinisterly, then grabbed Qin Jingwen and lifted her up like a chick, slamming her against the wall.

"don't want!"

The spirit tried to stop her, but she was injured and couldn't keep up with the man in black.

Just as Qin Jingwen was thrown out, a figure appeared out of thin air and caught her steadily.

Qin Jingwen felt a wave of dizziness and instinctively gripped the other person's collar tightly with both hands.

Only after I felt myself land safely did I cautiously open my eyes.

Then, it fell into a pair of concerned, deep eyes.

"fine?"

Qin Jingwen subconsciously shook her head.

The other party then gently set her down, their cold gaze shooting towards the man in black.

The man in black sneered, "Another one looking for death."

The newcomer merely glanced at the man in black before turning his gaze to the fallen spirit on the ground.
