Back home, everyone went into the kitchen to work together. Duan Ze went to buy two live chickens and two live fish, and the two brothers squatted in the yard to kill the chickens and fish. Duan Kai and Duan Sheng helped in the kitchen.

Soon, Shen Niannian's parents and younger brother arrived first.

Duan Ze stood up, washed his hands, and went to greet them: "Mom and Dad, you must be tired from the long journey."

Shen Zongbo got out of the car with a smile: "It's not hard work, it's not hard work. Come on, Xiaoze, help me move the things."

So Duan Ze followed and walked towards the trunk.

Shen Changcheng also came down, smiling as he called out, "Brother-in-law."

Duan Ze nodded, responded, and quickly went to get busy.

Shen Niannian came out quickly, one hand supporting her waist and the other eating the roasted chestnuts Duan Ye had bought, and was walking towards them.

Duan Ze came out carrying New Year's goods: "What are you doing out here? It's cold outside, come inside quickly."

Shen Niannian smiled and took He Yan's arm: "Come see my mom."

He Yan smiled and helped her daughter up, saying, "Alright, you're so restless. Come inside and sit down."

Shen Changcheng: "Sis, you should move around less. Look how worried your husband is!"

The banter between the mother and son made Shen Zongbo very happy. It's so nice now.

But then Shen Niannian suddenly remembered something: "Where's Ziyuan?"

Shen Changcheng smiled and said, "Your aunt is at the village entrance, buying firecrackers."

Just as he finished speaking, Duan Ziyuan appeared at the door: "Mom and Dad!"

Duan Ziyuan, holding firecrackers, rushed towards Shen Niannian. He missed his mother so much, but before he could reach Shen Niannian, Duan Ze grabbed him by the back of the neck.

"Your mother is pregnant, don't be reckless."

Duan Ziyuan said, feeling wronged, "Dad, I won't hurt Mom."

He Yan walked over with a smile and patted his head: "It's okay, this guy knows what he's doing."

Shen Niannian smiled as she rescued Duan Ziyuan, then looked at He Yan: "Auntie, it's been a long time. How have you been?"

He Yan nodded with a smile: "Yes, the last time we met was at Ziyuan's birthday party, right? Time really flies. You're pregnant again."

Duan Ze: "Let's go inside and talk, it's terribly cold outside."

As soon as Duan Ze spoke, everyone responded and quickly went inside. Duan Ye also helped unload the New Year's goods.

Duan Sheng and Ding Yifen quickly came out to greet them.

Not long after, Luo Shuyang and Chen Manhua arrived with Manman, Luoluo, and Chenchen.

Everyone was busy and didn't hear anything outside for a while.

Ding Yifen had just brought the fruit out of the kitchen when she saw two little heads curiously peeking in and meeting her gaze.

Duan Luo and Duan Chen immediately exclaimed in surprise, "Grandma!"

Ding Yifen immediately put down everything she was holding and ran towards the children: "Chenchen, Luoluo."

Duan Luo and Duan Chen were picked up by Ding Yifen. The two little ones were very good-looking and even cuter in their bright red tiger-head outfits. Even Shen Niannian couldn't help but run over and kiss them several times.

"Oh, you guys are so cute! Who changed your clothes?"

Duan Luo chuckled, "My aunt changed it!"

Duan Chen wiped his face: "Auntie, you kissed my face all over with saliva."

Duan Chen's words made everyone burst out laughing.

Duan Ye and Luo Qingyuan came out of the kitchen when they heard the noise. Luo Shuyang and Chen Manhua carried things and led Manman in. The three of them were wearing the same little tiger outfits, and Manman was very cute.

Duan Ye and his wife walked over: "Brother, sister-in-law."

Duan Luo and Duan Chen jumped down from Ding Yifen's arms, shouting, "Dad! Mom!"

Luo Qingyuan and Duan Ye each picked one up.

Duan Luo: "Dad, I miss you so much!"

"Mom, I miss you so much!"

Duan Ye and Luo Qingyuan's hearts melted at the sound of "Dad" and "Mom." They lingered for a while before the whole family entered the house. Luckily, the house was big enough, otherwise it really wouldn't have been able to accommodate so many people.

While the children played, Luo Shuyang and Shen Zongbai talked about their business, while Chen Manhua and He Yan went to the kitchen.

Soon after, Liang Mo's parents arrived, and the whole family was very lively.

Looking out the kitchen window, Duan Ye saw that the living room was full of people, children were playing, and smoke was rising from the kitchen. It was a scene of harmony and family reunion, and indeed, it was a very happy place.

But thinking of my grandparents, I can't help but feel sad, even though I'll be seeing this scene again in just a few days.

Duan Ye stood there for a while, and Luo Qingyuan brought over some fried meatballs at some point. She picked up a piece and held it to his mouth: "Here, try it, baby."

There were many people in the kitchen: Liang Mo, Chen Manhua, Ding Yifen, He Yan, Duan Sheng was stir-frying meat, and Duan Ze was squatting in the corner picking vegetables. Upon hearing this, no one turned around, but they all looked at each other and smiled silently.

Duan Ye's sadness was instantly dispelled, and he felt incredibly embarrassed.

But seeing Luo Qingyuan's eyes, which held a mixture of doting and teasing, Duan Ye still opened his mouth.

Fine, let her call me whatever she wants.

Although he was a little embarrassed, Duan Ye was secretly pleased.
