Synopsis: In the major explosion a month ago, the youngest Imperial Marshal in history, Si Yun, lost a leg and ten years of his memory. The 18-year-old Heng Xing lay confused on the hospital bed. I...
Chapter 51 Will You Change Your Mind?
The two returned to the spaceship. After closing the door, Yu Nianqing stood with his back to her, saying, "They're all waiting for you outside."
Heng Xing: "They arrived too early."
She asked, "Do you want me to leave sooner?"
Yu Nianqing looked at the two people standing on the ground through the window in the corridor, "If we left earlier, we would have come back earlier."
"Captain Heng, this time it's not as safe as you said, is it?"
Heng Xing stepped forward, hugged him from behind, rested her chin on his shoulder, and watched with him as Wu Yi jumped up and down outside the spaceship. "I don't know, but I promise you, I will definitely come back alive."
He lowered his eyes, his fingers unconsciously tapping on the protrusion on the window. He knew he was being a bit unreasonable today. "Captain Heng, I want someone to handle this, but I don't want you to be that person."
Hengxing turned her head and kissed the tip of his ear, "There's nothing I can do, you know how amazing I am."
Yu Nianqing felt an itch on the tip of her ear and couldn't help but laugh, shrinking to the side to avoid it.
Hengxing placed her hand around his waist to stop him from moving, so he turned around and glared at her with a smile.
They looked at each other silently, their gazes meeting in the air, stretching out fine, elastic sugar threads.
“Mr. Yu, actually I’m also very reluctant to part with him.” Heng Xing looked into his eyes and said earnestly.
Everything seemed to fall into place naturally.
With her left hand caressing his cheek, she lowered her head and covered his lips with hers. The first touch was slightly awkward, but her heart began to pound uncontrollably.
Then Yu Nianqing turned around, reached out and hooked her neck, guiding her to lower her head, and their lips met again. Her tongue tentatively pried open his teeth, tasting the softness she had never felt before, gradually deepening the kiss, entwining with his, and taking over his mouth.
Yu Nianqing obediently responded to her until her vision gradually blurred, her breath came out of her mouth, her legs went weak, and she couldn't help but lean into her arms, giving her weight to her.
The air is filled with the mingling of mint and rose, their ambiguous fragrance so natural it seems almost innate. If you close your eyes, you can almost see a garden where the two are planted together at midnight.
The kiss ended, and the two embraced tightly, their accelerated heartbeats ringing in their ears.
Hengxing: "Actually, I think Yula Star is pretty good. The scenery is beautiful and the air is fresh. Didn't you want to stay on Yula Star before? Once the money from the emperor arrives, we can buy that villa, renovate it, and move in directly."
"Um."
Yu Nianqing inhaled the aggressive rose scent in the air with fascination. Rather than being surrounded and enveloped by the fragrance, he wanted to be possessed completely. "Captain Heng, mark me."
Heng Xing refused, "Not now, wait until I get back."
"Will you change your mind?" Yu Nianqing stepped out of her embrace and looked at her with disappointment.
Hengxing reached out and tucked a strand of hair behind his ear. "No, but it's a long time, and the future is uncertain. I hope you can have the opportunity to choose and change."
Omegas are inherently less free than Alphas. The marks on their bodies can never be completely removed, no matter how hard they try, especially the marks of a high-ranking Alpha like her, which are even more difficult to remove.
Didn't you ask me a question this morning?
She had given this question serious thought and chose to tell the other person her answer now: "Actually, I think I'm still the same person I was yesterday, I haven't changed much. In recovering those lost memories, I only feel that I have gained more experience, and I am not immersed in the pain and resentment of the past ten years."
“For the past ten years, I’ve been in agony every day, like I’m trapped in a room without windows or fresh air. The door may be right in front of me, but I just can’t get out. If I had fallen for you back then, I wouldn’t have given you the chance to leave.”
For Hengxing in the past, the person he liked was like a drowning person's lifeline; even if his hands were covered in blood and gore, he would still hold onto that person tightly.
But for Hengxing now, the person she likes is like the snowball heart on the snow that night. If she hides it in her arms, it will melt away. She will choose to cherish it.
“Mr. Yu, if you’re unhappy, I’ll be very sad too.” She hugged him again.
Yu Nianqing felt a gentle kiss fall on her forehead.
"I'm leaving. I've taken care of things with the Yu family and Lin He. No one will bother you anymore."
Heng Xing let go, walked to the spaceship exit, pushed open the door, and golden sunlight shone on her face, making her eyes and hair shine brightly. "Be careful, no need to see me off."
"Captain Heng, goodbye." He waved to her, as if bidding farewell to the golden river of light.
The door closed, and the spaceship went from warm to cold once again.
Yu Nianqing peered through the window, watching her walk toward Wu Yi, watching her kick him again, watching her take a small silver box from his hand and release a beautiful mecha.
She boarded the mecha, maneuvered it to turn around and wave in his direction, bidding him another silent farewell.
Then the four mechs left together and disappeared into the sky.

Yu Nianqing went back to her room to rest, and only after lying on the bed did she realize that she was so hungry that her stomach hurt a little. She casually opened a bottle of nutritional supplement and drank it.
His terminal vibrated. Chi Qingyi sent him a message, excitedly telling him that Lin He had been reported and was suspended from his duties for investigation today.
[Chi Qingyi: Is this what they call divine justice?!]
How could justice possibly appear out of nowhere?
He replied expressionlessly, "Wow, really!"
Then he continued to lie in bed, feeling depressed.
Unable to sleep, with the entire spaceship completely silent, he felt as if he were about to drown in this stillness.
Now that I think about it, was Captain Heng as lonely as he is now when he was suffering from insomnia, so he wandered around the spaceship with nothing to do every day, and even played games with the robot vacuum cleaner out of boredom?
The terminal vibrated again, but this time it wasn't Chi Qingyi anymore; instead, it was a notification that 60 million Star Coins had been deposited into the account.
He glanced at it, and his nose stung with tears.
It's just money to buy his life; he'd rather not have it.
"How come there are so many people in the Empire, but not a single one who knows how to fight insect beasts?" he thought with a hint of resentment.
Yu Nianqing sat up, grabbed her pillow and blanket, and headed towards Hengxing's room.
He still wanted to be with her.
Author's Note: There won't be many chapters without Captain Heng, and the progress bar will be faster in the next few months.
My head is still spinning, going to sleep now. Goodnight everyone! *kiss*
