Synopsis: In the major explosion a month ago, the youngest Imperial Marshal in history, Si Yun, lost a leg and ten years of his memory. The 18-year-old Heng Xing lay confused on the hospital bed. I...
Chapter 56 (Chapter 56) We can only do it after the wedding.
"I'll wash it again."
Heng Xing followed Yu Nianqing back to the room. After hesitating for a moment, she still put on her hospital gown and pajamas and went into the bathroom to take a shower.
Yu Nianqing watched her walk into the bathroom. When he first saw Heng Xing, his mind was overwhelmed by a sudden surge of immense joy, making it impossible for him to think clearly. Sleepiness was already rare, and now it was even harder to find its way.
He looked at the strawberry seedlings placed by his bedside, bent down and picked the deep red strawberries hanging on the branches. Feeling that it wasn't enough, he went to the small flower garden and picked a whole pot full of strawberries.
After he finished washing the strawberries, Hengxing also finished showering and walked out of the bathroom, still feeling the cool steam.
The two snuggled together by the bed eating strawberries.
Yu Nianqing was mainly looking at Heng Xingxuan with a smile. She hadn't eaten anything good for over a year, just nutritional fluids every day, with the occasional extra insect meat. Now, eating sweet strawberries, her eyes narrowed with happiness.
Captain Heng is still as adorable as ever.
"Mr. Yu, aren't you going to eat?" After eating a few, Hengxing noticed that he was the only one immersed in admiring the strawberries, so he pushed the bowl a little towards him.
Yu Nianqing looked down at the basin, a mischievous thought forming in her mind. She looked up at her with a shy expression, tilting her head slightly, her voice carrying a hint of pleading, "Captain Heng."
Heng Xing: "Hmm?"
"Will you feed me?" he said, pursing his lips. His smile was so beautiful that even the beauty mark at the corner of his eye looked like it was soaked in honey, making one's hands itch to touch it.
Hengxing looked down into his eyes, and as if bewitched, pinched the strawberry tip and brought it to his mouth.
Even though the strawberry was right in front of his mouth, he refused to look down and eat it without hesitation. Instead, he kept looking up at her with an indescribable emotion in his eyes.
Don't you want to eat it?
Hengxing felt the atmosphere had become ambiguous and dangerous, the air feeling sticky and viscous like hot candy.
Yu Nianqing remained silent, his eyes slightly narrowed, the corners of his eyes curving upwards, adding to his allure. He opened his mouth and bit off the strawberry tip, his gaze fixed on her the entire time, as if hinting at something.
The strawberries were picked a few days late and were already ripe. With a gentle bite, they burst with juice, and the pale pink liquid flowed down his lips, leaving a reflective trail on his fair face and neck.
He could definitely feel the coolness, but he didn't wipe it away, and continued to look at her with eyes full of spring.
Hengxing couldn't hold back any longer. She casually threw the bowl in her hand onto the bedside table, pinched his chin to force him to tilt his head back, and slowly licked the sweet and sour strawberry juice from his collarbone upwards until it reached the corner of his mouth.
From the moment she touched her, Yu Nianqing felt her whole body tremble, her limbs went weak and she fell backward, only to be held firmly in front of her by the female Alpha's hands.
Until she forcefully kissed his lips, breaking through his teeth and plundering his senses. He couldn't help but let out a few rapid breaths and reached out to wrap his arms around her neck.
The two expressed their longing for each other through their actions until Yu Nianqing was pushed down onto the bed, her hand trembling as she reached out to unbutton her hospital gown.
Heng Xing snapped out of her daze and sat up, panting. "Not yet."
"Why not?" Yu Nianqing frowned and tried to sit up, but her limbs were too weak and she fell back down after supporting herself in the air.
Hengxing was afraid he would hit his head, so he quickly reached out to protect it.
"We're not married yet," she whispered.
Yu Nianqing felt wronged for no reason and said directly, "We can get married tomorrow."
"Tomorrow won't do," she said. "There's still one thing I haven't done."
Seeing her attitude, Yu Nianqing's eyes welled up with tears. "Did you get into trouble outside?"
"What are you thinking about? Nothing!" Hengxing reached out and wiped away the tears from the corner of his eyes.
"Has it been a long time?" Yu Nianqing pressed.
"Once the planetary shield opens, we'll fly the spaceship together." Hengxing lay back down and pulled him into her arms, gently kissing his forehead.
Yu Nianqing said sadly, "Oh."
When can the planetary shield be activated?
Heng Xing: "In another week or so, Dunlin is being beaten so badly by the Empire that he can't fight back. He should be surrendering and signing an agreement soon."
"It's almost three o'clock. Why don't we go to sleep? We can go and see that house when we wake up tomorrow."
He gave a slightly disappointed "oh," then snuggled closer to her, resting his head on her shoulder and placing his hands on his waist.
This pressure was no big deal for the strong and healthy Hengxing. She obediently hugged him and patted his shoulder lightly with her palm.
Yu Nianqing felt as if he had fallen into a sea of roses, the familiar fragrance enveloping him, surging at the tip of his nose, and forming invisible waves around him.
A year later, he finally felt completely safe.
He fell into a deep sleep.

"Are you starting renovations?" The neighbor across the hall came over curiously, a parrot perched on his shoulder squawking loudly, and a Samoyed on his leash wagging its tail and panting enthusiastically.
She explained a little awkwardly, "Sorry, Taro Boba isn't usually this noisy. Oh, I didn't mean milk tea, I meant the bird's name is Taro Boba."
Yu Nianqing bent down and rubbed the Samoyed's fluffy head. "It's okay. Yes, we're about to start the renovations."
"Is that your wife?" The neighbor looked at the blonde Alpha woman standing in the living room, discussing plans with the renovation contractor.
He answered with a hint of shyness, "Soon."
Neighbor: "Is this your wedding room? Hey, what's that?"
The blonde female Alpha in the living room gestured and suddenly took out a robot about half the height of a person from her spatial button and placed it on the ground. Then, a beam of red light came out from the camera on the top of the robot's head, and the wheels at the bottom rolled, and it began to wander around the whole room.
The renovation worker looked bewildered at the robots patrolling around.
Yu Nianqing: "Um, this robot can check if the renovation workers are slacking off or if they have switched out the materials."
The neighbor nodded and led the Samoyed away, saying, "Technology really is advancing. I'm off to walk the dog."
Yu Nianqing waved goodbye to her, and the parrot, still perched on her shoulder, suddenly turned back halfway and called out "Goodbye" to him.
They were quite polite.
Heng Xing happened to come out from inside and casually put his hand on his shoulder. "Who's that?"
"Neighbor, the owner of that parrot and Samoyed," Yu Nianqing leaned into her arms, following her lead, "Have you spoken to your master about it?"
"That's all. Renovation starts the day after tomorrow. Give me the terminal." She took his terminal and operated it for a while. "You can watch the renovation from inside the spaceship, and you can stop it if there are any problems."
"Come on, come in and have a look." She put her arm around him and led him inside.
Yu Nianqing stood on the steps looking down, "Once it's all installed, we can transplant the strawberries and roses from the spaceship here."
Heng Xing said with a serious expression, "Strawberries are fine, but roses are out of the question."
Yu Nianqing smiled, turned around and pulled her inside, "Captain Heng, would you like a pet?"
"For example, a cat, or like that neighbor who keeps a dog and a parrot."
"No, it's too much trouble." Heng Xing replied without hesitation. "Would you like to have a pet?"
"No, I was just asking." Yu Nianqing wasn't particularly interested in pets.
Rather than keeping pets, he would rather have several children with Hengxing, and he hopes that his children can inherit Hengxing's curly hair.
The little curly hair is so cute.
The two stayed in the villa for a while longer before returning to the spaceship, because Yu Nianqing had promised to make a strawberry cake with the leftover strawberries when she left home that morning.
Hengxing followed his instructions and added the pre-weighed ingredients to the food processor. Then, she stood aside and watched with great interest as the food processor mixed all the ingredients together, turning them into a pale yellow, semi-solid state.
“Mr. Yu, I’m going to visit Si Yun at Yula Star Prison tomorrow morning,” she said, looking up at Yu Nianqing.
Yu Nianqing was making strawberry jam, the red sauce bubbling and bubbling in the pot.
He looked up at the sound of the voice, "Do you need me to go with you?"
Hengxing had told him in a video call that, in order to appease her, the emperor had entrusted Siyun to her care.
Both of them knew that when she agreed to this condition, it meant she was already trapped by the emperor. Knowing that every gift came with a price, Hengxing had no way to refuse this offer.
Hengxing: "No need, I'll go by myself."
She not only wanted to see Si Yun, but also to visit Lin He.
She knew very well that her boyfriend was kind-hearted; otherwise, he wouldn't have only used tranquilizer guns on the crew members when he escaped from the Yu family.
She knew he would soften his heart, so she took the matter into her own hands.
"Okay, come back soon." Yu Nianqing looked at her worriedly.
"I'm fine, I just wanted to ask Si Yun about what happened back then." Heng Xing pressed the pause button on the food processor. "By the way, this should be fully mixed by now, right?"
As the cake batter rose in the oven, gradually growing taller and transforming into a fluffy chiffon cake, the entire kitchen was filled with the sweet aroma of the cake.
Not only in the kitchen, Hengxing smelled his own sleeves and felt that he too had been marinated in this aroma.
After the cake cooled, Yu Nianqing sliced it into three pieces, placed them on the cake stand, layered strawberry jam on top, and finally spread a layer of light yellow cream on top.
He cut the finished strawberry cake in half, placed a slice on a delicate little plate, and handed it to Hengxing.
Then he used the same trick again, smearing sweet cream on his lips and making her lick her lips carefully.
Heng Xing pretended to be fierce, pinching his chin, "You really went too far."
He pretended not to know anything and innocently asked, "Why is it excessive?"
Heng Xing said seriously, "You're wasting food, that's not good."
He smiled and snuggled into her arms, saying, "If you eat it, it won't be a waste of food."
The two lingered in the kitchen, eating and playing until almost midnight before returning to their room to sleep. They lay in bed embracing each other and fell asleep in the same position as the day before.
"Captain Heng, your skin is so cold." Yu Nianqing rested her head on her arm, tilted her body to look at her for a while, then leaned forward to kiss her chin. "Why do you take cold showers every day? Doesn't it get cold?"
Hengxing suppressed the restlessness in his body and stubbornly said, "A cold shower will cool me down."
"If I don't take a cold shower, I feel like ants are biting my whole body."
Yu Nianqing wasn't a clueless child; he deliberately leaned in front of her and chuckled softly.
She stared at the ceiling with a helpless expression, trying to clear her mind. As the saying goes, as long as you calm your mind, all difficulties can be easily solved.
*
The next morning, Hengxing ate the leftover strawberry cake from the previous day and boarded the aircraft bound for the prison.
Yu Nianqing opened the refrigerator, picked out the ingredients she needed from the remaining food, and decided to make a tiramisu while she was away.
“We gave him the truth serum half an hour ago, and the medication is now working.”
Heng Xing opened the interrogation room and looked at the female Alpha who was tied to the interrogation chair like a dead fish. He turned to the officer and said, "Okay, thank you."
"Si Yun." She walked into the interrogation room alone and sat down in the chair behind the glass. "Do you recognize me?"
Upon hearing this, Si Yun struggled to open his eyelids and said, "I don't know him."
Indeed, she probably has never seen herself.
Hengxing then asked her, "You went to Keze Star more than ten years ago?"
Si Yun paused for a moment before answering, "Never been there. Where is Keze Star?"
Have you never been there, or do you simply not care?
Heng Xing took out an energy gun from his spatial storage and played with it. "Why did you need to repair the nose of your spaceship?"
"Has something happened?"
Si Yun: "Mm."
Upon seeing the energy gun in Heng Xing's hand, her pupils suddenly dilated, and she kicked her feet backward repeatedly.
Heng Xing saw her reaction and found it amusing. "Why are you so afraid of death? Well, you did run away from the battlefield twice because you were afraid of dying."
She casually promised, "Siyun, tell me what happened back then. Tell me everything, and I promise you'll be fine."
"The port, in the port."
Hearing the threat, Si Yun hurriedly said, "It's not my fault. That female Alpha jumped off the side of the harbor by herself. I didn't mean to hit her. It's just that she kept flashing her high beams at me, and my eyes hurt. Yes, it's all her fault. If my eyes hadn't been blinded, I wouldn't have pressed the wrong direction key."
"So, you really did pilot the spaceship?" Heng Xing picked up the energy gun again. "But you were only a little over ten years old back then, not an adult. Where did you get your pilot's license?"
Large beads of sweat rolled down her forehead. "I just wanted to go out for a walk."
"If that female Alpha hadn't made me stop and wanted to check my documents, none of this would have happened. Yes, I remember feeling very dizzy..."
Dizziness?
"You've been drinking?" Hengxing frowned.
Si Yun argued, "I only drank a little bit, I'm not drunk."
The truth is already clear.
"After you ran away, your father found you a substitute. Do you remember how he felt at that time?" Heng Xing stood up.
*
"Madam, is it over?" the police officer waiting outside asked Hengxing as she came out.
"Okay, take me to see that rapist." Heng Xing adjusted the hood of his hoodie.
Having been worn for so long, this already somewhat old garment has not only started pilling but has also become a bit deformed, making it look increasingly "vintage."
She might need to find some time to buy some new clothes. Otherwise, if she goes out with Mr. Yu, he might think it's a bit awkward and make him uncomfortable.
Never mind, she felt that Yu Nianqing wasn't the kind of person who would be blinded by material things.
"How will that criminal be dealt with according to imperial law?" Heng Xing asked the police officer beside him.
Officer: "They'll probably be sent to dig for black crystals."
Recently, the Empire has acquired many new ink crystal mines, which means there is ample space for Lin He to realize his grand ambitions.
Hengxing was very satisfied.
"Are you going in by yourself?" the officer asked her.
Heng Xing nodded, "I'll be quick, don't worry, it won't delay your subsequent processing."
She was indeed very quick.
The officer looked at his watch.
The moment Hengxing entered, a loud shout came from inside.
Three minutes after Hengxing entered, a heart-wrenching scream broke through the crowd.
Five minutes later, she came out, slowly wiped the blood off her hands with a tissue, and then smiled at him, saying, "Thank you for your help. It's time for me to go home."
She casually mentioned, "The person inside might be losing too much blood; we need to find a doctor right away."
The officer led her back, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw a long, blood-red object on the ground inside, which made him feel a pang of madness.
She deserved it.
He offered a fair and objective assessment.
*
Yu Nianqing felt that time flew by exceptionally quickly after Hengxing returned, with the dates leaping and scrambling like a nimble leopard.
A week later, Donlin surrendered to the Empire, a moment broadcast live across the entire interplanetary network.
With a beaming smile and high spirits, the emperor announced to the entire empire that the planetary protective shield would be removed at nine o'clock the next morning.
More than a year has passed, and life is finally returning to normal.
That night, the port was very lively.
The spaceship owners gathered in small groups to drink and bid farewell to the friendships they had forged during this special time.
Hengxing sat by the window, gazing thoughtfully at the scene outside.
The two of them will also be leaving Yula Star tomorrow. She had previously said that she would take Yu Nianqing to see a place.
In just one year, the ends of her curly hair reached her shoulder blades.
Yu Nianqing pressed her down into a chair and forcibly braided her hair.
"What's wrong, Captain Heng? What are you thinking about?" he asked, his fingers flying through her hair.
Heng Xing spoke up, "After the planetary protective shield opens tomorrow, do you think there will be a queue of spaceships leaving Yula Star?"
Yu Nianqing: "Definitely. It's been a year, and many people are homesick."
"So, does that mean we don't have to queue tomorrow?"
Everyone will definitely stay at the port for another day to let the alcohol in their bodies metabolize before leaving.
Yu Nianqing: "..."
"Captain Heng, you should use your intelligence where it matters most."
Author's note: Where to go?
The author needs to catch a flight tomorrow, so I'd like to ask for leave from everyone. *kiss*
