Chapter 111 The Appearance of Ether Particles

Thor helped Jane up and followed Odin toward a certain place.

The pain in Jane's mind gradually subsided, and as she looked at the unfamiliar scenery around her, her eyes shone brighter. She seemed unconcerned about her physical condition, only interested in the new sights around her.

After passing through palaces adorned with mysterious patterns, the three finally arrived at a mysterious palace.

Jane looked up and was even more amazed—floating above her were clusters of "nebulae," and as far as the eye could see, there was a starry sky of various colors, especially the stars that made up these nebulae, which were constantly moving. Jane could easily tell that this was a holographic projection of the universe.

However, it looks much more realistic than a holographic projection.

After passing through this "starry sky", Jane saw several books floating in the sky. Odin slowly beckoned, and one of the books floated down.

“This is Father’s secret library; I don’t usually have access to it,” Thor whispered to Jane.

Jane nodded slowly and smiled at Thor in response. She had only been a little upset before, but seeing how much Thor cared about her today, her little tantrum had long since vanished.

"The Nine Kingdoms are not eternal; they have their dawn of birth and their twilight of demise. But before the dawn, the Dark Elves reigned supreme in our region, unmatched by any other," Odin said slowly to Jane and Thor, turning the pages of his book.

The book contains slowly moving illustrations that present scenes and characters to Jane and Saul.

Thor pulled Jane forward slowly and said, "Born of the Eternal Night, the Dark Elves will steal your light. My mother told me their story when I was a child."

"The leader of the Dark Elves, Maleski, created a weapon from that darkness called the Aether. Most other weapons are solid, but the Aether is a constantly changing fluid. It can turn objects into dark matter, seeking out hosts to parasitize and absorbing their life force. Maleski intended to use the energy of the Aether to plunge the entire universe into darkness, but after a long and bloody war, my father, Bauer, finally triumphed, thus ushering in thousands of years of peace." Odin's voice echoed in the room, and the pages of the book in front of him slowly turned, allowing Jane and Thor to gain a deeper understanding of this history.

But Jane slowly raised her head and asked, "What kind of victory did we achieve?"

Odin frowned slightly, looked at Jane, and after a moment answered her question: "He wiped out all the dark elves."

Thor looked up from his book at Odin: "But according to legend, the Aether should have been destroyed along with all the Dark Elves. But the Aether has reappeared today, and it's on Jane."

Odin remained silent for a moment, then firmly repeated his previous words: "All the dark elves have been destroyed."

"Does the book explain how to remove the ether particles from my body?" Jane finally asked about her physical condition.

Odin glanced at Thor, then met Jane's gaze and said, word by word, "No."

After saying this, Odin waved his hand slightly, and the books on the desk immediately flew up again, returning to their original positions. Jane and Thor's hearts sank instantly.

The flickering starlight cast its light on Jane and Thor's faces as they followed Odin out of the secret library.

"Bang!"

With a soft click, the door to the secret library closed, and Odin left without letting Thor take Jane with him.

“Jane, I’ll take you to Mother. Perhaps she has a solution.” Saul gripped Jane’s hand, forcing himself to remain calm, and said.

He had already lost his brother and tasted the pain of losing loved ones; he didn't want to lose Jane as well.

Jane gazed lovingly into Thor's eyes, gently stroked his head, and smiled comfortingly. Then, the two walked towards Frigga's chambers.

“Mother.” The moment he saw Frigga, Thor’s heart finally felt at peace, and his eyes reddened slightly as he spoke.

Then, Saul told Frigga everything.

“Dark elves, ether particles…” Frigga laid Jane on the bed and then used her magic to examine Jane’s body.

After a moment, Frigga withdrew her hand, but faced with Thor's questioning gaze, she could only shake her head: "The Aether is a Dark Elf artifact. It has the instinct to protect itself from being taken by others, and my magical abilities cannot bypass its magical blockade to remove it from Jane's body."

With their last glimmer of hope shattered, Jane and Saul's eyes dimmed once more.

The magnificent palace was silent. Frigga slowly rubbed her fingers together, and after a moment, she finally spoke: "Perhaps there is one person who can have hope."

"Who?" A glimmer of hope suddenly flashed in Thor's eyes as he looked up at Frigga and asked in surprise.

Frigga smiled slowly: "You two know this person too, she's your newly adopted sister, my dear daughter, Wanda."

Thor's face slowly hardened with hesitation: "I know Wanda's magical abilities are strong; I'm no match for her now. But even in terms of energy intensity, she's far inferior to Father, and in terms of magical knowledge, she's far inferior to you. She really..."

Frigga looked at Thor with a hint of helplessness: "Have you forgotten that her and Gel's Chaos Magic are among the three ancient forces of the universe? In terms of mystery, it surpasses even the Aether."
