Chapter 128 Thanos's Fleet Departs
"Click".
The door to the secret room opened again, and Gamora slowly walked in, holding a sharp dagger behind her back.
"Is there something you need, Gamora?" Gel didn't turn around, but simply flipped through the book in his hands. His voice was calm, yet it carried a power that sent chills down Gamora's spine.
Gamora slowly walked up to Gol and stood there looking down at him. Although she was looking down at Gol, Gamora had no confidence whatsoever: "Is it you?"
Gamora's voice echoed in the secret room. Upon hearing it, Gol slowly raised his head and met Gamora's gaze, but Gol's eyes held only unfathomable indifference: "Whether it's me or not, what does it matter?"
"ah!"
Gamora's expression suddenly turned ferocious. She roared and stabbed the dagger in her hand towards Gamora opposite her.
This is the dagger Thanos gave her, a weapon that can kill gods. No matter how powerful a person is, if they are stabbed by it, they will only perish.
Gol looked at her with pity, and with a slight lift of his right finger, Gamora's movements abruptly stopped, and she slowly floated in mid-air. Only her head could move slightly.
“Gamora, Thanos’s adopted daughter, a killer feared by countless aliens. But as far as I know, your parents also died at Thanos’s hands. I wonder how many innocent people’s blood you have spilled on your hands because of working for Thanos? And what right do you have to kill me?” Gamora’s voice slowly entered her ears, and with each sentence Gamora spoke, her expression grew more and more unpleasant.
A moment later, Gamora stared intently at Gel: "Nebula died because of you."
Gel didn't answer her question, but just looked at her coldly, his expression icy and arrogant: "So what if we are? You are invaders, including your sister Nebula. You have killed so many innocent people on Earth. Shouldn't we fight back? Tell me, did she deserve to be killed?"
By the end, Gamora's tone was filled with murderous intent—if Gamora continued speaking like this, Gamora couldn't guarantee that she would be spared.
Gamora trembled as she listened to these soul-searching questions, her face filled with sorrow. Her parents had been killed by Thanos, so how could she say they shouldn't have been killed?
However, that was Nebula, her only sister, with whom she had spent decades. How could she not avenge her? Overwhelmed by pain, Gamora could only roar to the heavens before bowing her head in sorrow.
"Bang!"
Gamora suddenly landed on the ground, and the dagger in her hand fell to the side.
Ger took a few steps away from her, his cold voice reaching her ears: "I don't want to kill anyone today, but this is your last chance. If there's a next time, I won't talk to you nicely anymore. Get out."
Gamora struggled to her feet, then staggered towards the door. Reaching the entrance to the secret chamber, she couldn't help but turn back: "What was the purpose of your departure from Earth this time?"
Gel looked up at her: "If I said it was to defeat Thanos, would you help me?"
“Thanos’s power is beyond our imagination.” A flicker of fear crossed Gamora’s eyes, but after a moment, she nodded firmly. “But I will help you kill him!”
“Then help me get the other Infinity Stones.” Gamora looked at her seriously. “You should know the whereabouts of the Soul Stone.”
Gamora's body jolted, and she looked at Gel in shock. After a moment, she nodded: "That's a planet that's very far away from here, much farther than Xandar. It would take a very long time to get there."
"Then take me to find the Soul Stone after I get the Power Stone." Gel lowered his head and continued reading the book in his hands.
Gamora nodded with difficulty, staring blankly at Gol.
Immediately afterwards, the door to the secret room opened, and Quill walked in. What he saw was Gamora gazing at Gel with "affectionate eyes".
"Gamora." Quill felt something was off and immediately called out softly.
Gamora immediately turned around, but her strength faltered, and her already unsteady body swayed, falling towards the ground. Quill caught her immediately and asked with concern, "Gamora, what's wrong?"
As he spoke, Quill glanced at Gel not far away.
Gamora shook her head slightly: "It's nothing. I just bumped into the table next to me during the battle. I didn't feel anything at the time, but now that I'm safe, I feel uncomfortable."
“Then let me help you sit down.” Quill immediately helped Gamora sit on the ground with concern, but he subconsciously felt that something was wrong. However, Gamora was very stubborn, and he couldn’t possibly ask her what was going on. He could only look at Gamora with a frustrated expression, and then at Gale.
Even with him present, Gamora's gaze couldn't help but drift towards Gale. This made Quill's jealousy boil over—damn it, had he somehow dragged a love rival into his team? Perhaps Gamora liked well-read people like him; should he borrow a few books to read too?
Compared to the unusually peaceful Yondu fleet after the great battle, the atmosphere here is tense and on the verge of war.
In the endless void, a spaceship mothership about ten kilometers long floats, like a giant roc spreading its wings and soaring in the sky.
Ronan was holding the Orb of the Universe he had stolen, gazing at it greedily.
"Sir, Thanos requests to speak with you," Ronan's subordinate reported.
