Chapter 75 Loki Appears

"boom!"

Lightning bolts streaked across the sky, and the wind rustled the plastic sheeting around them. Coin-sized raindrops pelted the ground with a pattering sound.

Saul, however, remained kneeling in the downpour, motionless.

Jane gritted her teeth inwardly, turned her gaze to Gel, and asked softly with a hint of worry, "Gel, why didn't he...?"

Gel was not surprised by this result at all—Thor's hammer had been sealed, and only a righteous and kind person who was recognized by Thor's hammer could lift it and obtain its power.

Thor remained arrogant, and the seal within him had not been lifted, making it impossible for him to gain the approval of Mjolnir.

Daisy and Eric, standing nearby, chuckled self-deprecatingly. They had initially clung to a sliver of hope that Thor might indeed be the legendary God of Thunder, but seeing this scene now, they found their earlier thoughts laughable.

“Perhaps there are reasons that only Thor himself knows,” Gol replied softly, looking down at Thor.

After a moment, Gel turned to Jane, Daisy, and Eric and said in a deep voice, "Something unpleasant might happen here in the next few days, so it won't be convenient for you to stay. I'll have agents take you to Coulson, and you can go with them, okay?"

The voice was soft, yet it carried an unspeakable heaviness.

Jian Du understood the emotion in Ge Er's words, and his heart sank. He nodded.

Eric, standing to the side, had long since wanted to leave—he had a friend who researched gamma rays, who had vanished without a trace after coming into contact with this so-called S.H.I.E.L.D., and never appeared again. He really didn't want to have any more contact with this mysterious department.

Then, Gel turned to the agents behind him and said, "Take all four of them to Coulson. Note that all of you must leave; don't leave anyone here."

The agent behind him hesitated for a moment before stepping forward: "Everyone?"

Gel's gaze turned cold as he turned to the agent: "Didn't Coulson tell you? Everyone here has to listen to me for now. Or do you need to call him again to confirm?"

The agent immediately lowered his head: "Yes, sir."

Jane, Daisy, and Eric glanced at Gel with complicated expressions, then followed the agent out.

They all recalled the awe on the faces of the agents when they saw Gerr's credentials, and then they thought about what Gerr had said to Saul along the way.

This Geer is too mysterious.

Below, two agents lifted Saul up and carried him towards the vehicle. Throughout the entire ordeal, Saul simply lay there listlessly, offering no resistance.

It's as if they've become oblivious to what's happening outside.

"Da! Da! Da!"

Gel tapped his hand lightly on the iron railing, took a deep breath, checked the chaotic energy emanating from the surroundings, and then dialed Coulson's number.

From the moment he arrived at the fortress, he evenly distributed chaos magic throughout the area. Using this method, Gol was very confident that he would immediately detect Loki as soon as he appeared.

However, Loki was never seen within the range of the chaotic energy's perception.

“Coulson, I’ve had all the agents evacuate the fortress. I’ll discuss this with Nick personally later. Saul, Jane, Daisy, and Eric will be coming to your location soon. You need to set up a separate tent for Saul and make sure he has enough supplies, such as wine, fruit, food, and drinks. But remember, the farther this tent is from where you are and the farther it is from the town, the better.”

"As for Jane, Daisy, and Eric, return their RVs to them, and that's it. If they need to go anywhere other than Saul's tent, call me. In short, for the next few days, our agents should stay away from these four as much as possible, especially Saul, and absolutely no talking to them about anything other than scientific research. Understand?"

Although Coulson only vaguely understood, he had already memorized everything that Gel had said, so he nodded: "I understand."

Although he didn't know what had happened and didn't particularly believe that Thor was the God of Thunder, Gale, as a member of S.H.I.E.L.D., had done so much for the agency, and he trusted Gale completely.

After hanging up with Coulson, Gell called Uncle Norman, Pietro, Peter, Banner, Betty, and Bronsky.

Finally, Gel dialed Nick's number.

"Gale, is that hammer really the legendary Thor's hammer?" Nick couldn't help but ask as soon as the call connected.

Although Nick had roughly guessed the truth by combining the research report sent back by Coulson and the Norse mythology book, he still found it hard to believe.

After all, isn't that just a myth?

Does such a thing as "God" really exist in this world?

Gel nodded and replied, "Based on my observation, this hammer should be Thor's hammer."

Nick frowned slightly: "What are you worried about by evacuating all the agents from the fortress? Could it be that other gods will appear?"

“I’m just making a reasonable inference based on the facts. After all, Thor’s hammer has already appeared. And Thor just couldn’t lift it. I guess something must have happened.” Gel told Nick his prepared explanation. “If Thor isn’t the only god who can come to Earth, or if his enemies are coming, it would undoubtedly be a disaster for Earth.”
