Chapter 89 Entering Asgard

Chapter 90 Entering Asgard

After the soundproof magic shield shattered, Laufey's words echoed throughout the small space.

Loki's face darkened inch by inch. He didn't know where his sudden despondency came from, because he had never cared about the Frost Giants, much less their opinions. But at this moment, he still felt an inexplicable loneliness chilling his heart.

Wanda and Pietro, standing some distance away, frowned slightly as they listened to Laufey's words, not understanding what they meant. Only Gol looked at Loki and Odin in the distance with a mocking smile on his face.

It's quite ironic, isn't it?

Odin gripped his golden scepter tightly, watched Laufey's departing figure, sighed deeply, and after a moment, turned his gaze to Thor and Loki, his eyes filled with regret.

Did he really do something wrong?

"Ha ha."

A moment later, Loki suddenly burst into laughter, and then his laughter became more and more exaggerated, until he was bent over backwards and tears were streaming down his face.

After laughing for an unknown amount of time, Loki slowly wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes and looked directly at Odin: "Father, what kind of punishment will I receive?"

Odin remounted his horse and looked down at Loki: "You will spend the rest of your life in the dungeons of Asgard."

Loki chuckled and looked up at him: "So you're going to lock me up until I die, and then let that idiot Thor become the king of Asgard?"

"Brother!" Thor roared, but his shouts did not earn Loki's attention in the slightest.

Odin pointed his golden scepter at Loki, his eyes filled with deep anger: "Everything that is happening now is because of your obsession with becoming king!"

"To be king is my birthright!" Loki said, approaching Odin and staring intently into his eyes.

Odin gripped his golden scepter tightly, no longer able to contain his rage, and roared, "Your birthright is to die at birth, to die on that abandoned, cold stone. If I hadn't taken you in, you wouldn't have the chance to express your resentment towards me here!"

"Since you want to kill, then show no mercy and do it now!" Loki brought his head close to the golden scepter and roared at Odin like a madman.

Odin placed the golden scepter to Loki's neck, then put it away after a moment, saying in a deep voice, "You are still alive because Frigga wants you to live. But from now on, you will never see Frigga again."

Loki smiled sadly, his eyes filled with many inexplicable emotions that were mixed together and difficult to discern.

The wind around them howled like a monster, carrying their argument into the distance. Asgardians are generally immune to heat and cold, but Thor felt chilled to the bone.

He looked at Loki, then at Odin, unsure whether he should resent Loki, or what he should resent him for.

Odin withdrew his golden scepter, no longer looking at Loki, but instead turning his gaze to Gol, Wanda, and Pietro, and asked in a deep voice, "I'm going back to Asgard now, do you want to come with me?"

Gel nodded slightly, finally putting on a friendly and approachable smile: "Of course, I'd love to go and take a look at Asgard."

He's been working so hard for this moment, hasn't he?

They've all paid the price with their lives; they should at least recoup some of their losses.

Odin waved his golden scepter, and a moment later, a strange wind swept in, and a seven-colored light shone down on the six people from the sky.

"Don't resist." Feeling the suction on his body, Ger took Wanda and Pietro's hands and gently comforted them.

The two of them immediately relaxed, gripped Gel's hand, and followed the Rainbow Bridge toward Asgard.

Gel looked ahead, and the endless stars in the sky, each with its own unique color, appeared before his eyes in their entirety. Even the strange colors swirling between the various galaxies were fully revealed to him.

The entire starry sky possesses an indescribable beauty.

“So beautiful,” Wanda murmured. Pietro, standing beside her, nodded in agreement. This scene was far more breathtaking than any beautiful sight they had ever seen before.

A moment later, Gel reluctantly turned his gaze to the Rainbow Bridge, but at this moment, he dared not use chaos magic rashly, and only dared to use his mind slightly to sense the Rainbow Bridge.

In his perception, the Rainbow Bridge seemed to contain a mixture of too many kinds of magic. Not only was it mixed with some spatial energy, but there were even some types of energy that he couldn't sense at all.

Indeed, the Rainbow Bridge, mentioned in the magic book, is one of Asgard's most mysterious devices, and naturally, it has its own enigmatic aspects.

No one noticed that Loki, who was following behind Odin, looked at Odin and Thor's backs with an increasingly sorrowful expression.

"Teng!"

Loki stomped heavily on the Rainbow Bridge, the chains binding his body rattling loudly. His body, like a kite with a broken string, broke free from the bridge's restraints and fell into the endless darkness.

The soft clatter of the chains binding him sounded like a silent lament of despair.

"younger brother!"

Thor watched Loki fall into the darkness, saw the despair on Loki's face, and cried out in anguish.

Odin waved his golden scepter, and the five figures stopped in their tracks, no longer advancing. At that moment, Odin, too, couldn't suppress the pain on his face as he gazed at Loki, who was gradually disappearing into the darkness.

"snort!"

As Gell watched Loki disappear into the distance, he let out a cold snort and his hand surged with chaos magic, attempting to create a spatial rift behind Loki.
