“Brother Peter is strong, and you have magic, so who is stronger between you two?” Wanda blinked at Gel, her distinct eyelashes fluttering like butterfly wings, her expression full of curiosity.

Pietro, who was standing to the side, also came over.

Ger thought for a moment, then smiled and said, "In terms of strength and reaction speed, I am definitely no match for him. But my abilities are multifaceted. In battle, it will be difficult for him to get close to me and hurt me. But if I want to hurt him, that is still possible."

Peter's power had reached inhuman levels. He had tried to control Peter with magic that morning, but it hadn't hindered Peter in the slightest. However, Gel didn't need to clash with Peter's strength, because his chaos magic had many other functions that could be used in combat.

Before Pietro and Wanda could ask any questions, Gel said to Pietro, "Pietro, you carry me and go find Uncle Ben. Go as fast as you can. I'll use magic to cover our tracks. Wanda, you go alone. Stay near Uncle Ben's house. If you see him, protect him and try to persuade him to go home. But be careful, there might be people with guns tonight. Be extra careful, understand?"

Gel stared intently into Wanda's eyes until she nodded, then climbed onto Pietro's back.

With a "whoosh," Pietro unleashed his full speed and ran towards Uncle Ben's house, while Wanda took a deep breath and set off alone.

At this moment, in a small supermarket a few hundred meters away from Peter's house.

Peter, who had been scolded by his Uncle Ben for forgetting to pick up Aunt May and then angrily left home, was now arguing with the shopkeeper over two cents.

The shop owner said sarcastically, "If you don't have money, get out of here. Didn't your father give you enough money to buy milk?"

Peter looked at the change on the table: "It's only two cents, no need..."

Peter angrily removed his money from the table and walked towards the door. Seeing this, Peter felt inexplicably relieved, smiled, and strode out.

"Damn it! You thief, stop right there!" The shopkeeper, having finished looking for his things, quickly realized his money had been stolen. He cursed angrily and chased after the thief.

Upon seeing Peter still standing at the door, the shop owner pleaded, "Could you please help me catch the thief?"

Peter found it ironic and shrugged, "It has absolutely nothing to do with me."

Helpless, the shop owner could only chase after him while shouting, "Stop that guy! Thief, stop!"

Uncle Ben, who had come out to look for Peter out of concern, stopped in his tracks after hearing the shopkeeper's shouts. The thief, fleeing in a panic, happened to be running in Uncle Ben's direction. When he was about five meters away from Uncle Ben, the thief bumped into a passerby and fell to the ground, the gun he was carrying falling out of his pocket.

Uncle Ben saw the gun, froze on the spot, looked at the fallen thief, then at the gun on the ground. Uncle Ben immediately stepped forward, trying to snatch the gun, but the thief had already stood up.

In a life-or-death race, the two men simultaneously grabbed guns and began fighting.

A hundred meters away, Gel, who was using his magic at full power, had already seen Uncle Ben. In his sense, the thief's hand had unintentionally pulled the trigger.

Gerald's hair stood on end, but he quickly controlled his magic, moving the pistol upwards and simultaneously setting up a magical shield in front of his uncle!

"Bang!"

The bullet, accompanied by a slight flash, shot from the barrel, shattering the still-unfinished magical shield, and then passed through Uncle Ben's chest, drawing a large amount of blood.

Is a predetermined fate truly unchangeable?

"Nothing will happen!" Ger gritted his teeth, letting all sorts of negative emotions churn in his mind, but he could only endure it, comfort himself, and calm himself down.

In just two or three seconds, Pietro, with Gel in tow, arrived in front of Uncle Ben.

Gel quickly checked Uncle Ben's body and then breathed a slight sigh of relief: fortunately, he had used magic to change the direction of the pistol, so the bullet had not hit Uncle Ben's heart, but only his chest, which was not a fatal wound: "Pietro, call an ambulance quickly!"

Hearing the gunshot, Peter slowly walked over. In the light of the roadside shops, he saw Gert's hands covered in blood. As if realizing something, Peter fearfully shifted his gaze downwards, only to find that the person lying there was none other than Uncle Ben.
