Ritsuka, the savior of humanity.
After enjoying a short summer vacation, she prepared to continue saving the already empty pan-human hi...
Mihana Singularity (20): A Clash of Noble Phantasms? ...
As Amuro Tooru spoke, BB's long-absent broadcast came through. Everyone temporarily lowered their weapons, waiting to hear what kind of trouble BB was planning.
[The perpetrator, Amuro Tooru, confesses to intentional homicide.]
[Detection successful.]
"Hey, there really is such a stupid human who confesses. Well then, senior, keep up the good work~ BB is really looking forward to seeing the expression on your companion's face when he comes out and sees the new world."
Fujimaru Ritsuka: "...?"
What kind of new world is this? She frowned, realizing something was wrong. Leaving those two outside was definitely a mistake.
"Hey BB, what are you and the professor doing outside?" She poked the electronic screen that hadn't appeared for a long time, her tone unfriendly, as if threatening them to behave themselves.
"Huh?" BB feigned confusion, answering with a teasing tone, "It's a secret~ You'll find out if you manage to get the Holy Grail alive, senpai!"
"It's related to us?" Conan and Amuro Tooru, who were in different positions, said in unison. The only one who could connect the people present was the organization!
Damn it, what exactly happened to the organization after he entered the game? Was his identity exposed in front of those high-ranking members?
Amuro Tooru was inwardly anxious, but outwardly he maintained a calm demeanor. Only Morofushi Kagemitsu noticed his unconscious little movements when he was nervous.
Conan, however, was getting restless. He stopped searching for evidence, his mind replaying BB's words: "New World, New World."
You know, Ran, Sonoko, and Uncle Mori all attended that banquet. If anything goes wrong, then...!
He said anxiously, "Hey! Explain yourself! What happened outside?! Where did you take Mr. Okiya?! And where did Ai Haibara go after she died in the game?!"
A deathly silence suddenly descended upon the place that had just become a battlefield, leaving only Conan's increasingly rapid heartbeat.
A soft laugh broke the silence, and a voice suppressing emotions came from the radio.
"Heh~, now even those annoying humans can yell at BB." BB gritted her teeth. "I was assigned the role of a junior in the final boss series, how can I be so disrespectful?"
Although she didn't know what Conan or Matsuda Jinpei had said, Fujimaru Ritsuka knew she was in trouble as soon as she heard those words. She was about to say something to salvage the situation when BB spoke first, as if he had foreseen it.
"And please don't beg for mercy, senior. Let me show you my best side~"
"Very well, they're already angry." Fujimaru Ritsuka sighed, while Da Vinci-esquely facepalmed beside her. Based on their countless experiences, they knew something was about to go wrong again.
She'd rather fight the smoke-glasses guy!
"This is troublesome." Morofushi Kagemitsu, who was very sensitive to emotions, whispered, and Amuro Tooru nodded in agreement. He sighed again, wondering which AI had its personality set up like this, as if they were afraid humanity wouldn't perish.
Gin was happy to see this happen; the enemy's misfortune was his good fortune. Smoke Mirror, however, was somewhat annoyed; being interrupted halfway through a fight was something no warrior could tolerate.
But in the virtual world, BB is the absolute ruler.
“Hmm~,” BB said enthusiastically, “Let’s add another rule.”
Players who admit to being the real culprit will be automatically eliminated from the game.
Fujimaru Ritsuka looked up abruptly, immediately realizing BB's thought. Ahh, her cheat code, her Ereshkigal!
Conan, who was the second to react, immediately climbed onto the window of Gin's room and looked down.
The golden light of the dissipating spirit core shone from the soles of Ereshkigal's feet. She smiled helplessly at Ritsuka, as if to say that she had called her over... but she hadn't been of any help.
Fujimaru Ritsuka shook her head vigorously, grasped Ereshkigal's hand, and moved her lips to say something. Conan leaned even closer to the glass and finally saw her lips clearly; she was saying:
"It's alright, I will prove that Ellie's choice was right."
Next to disappear was Amuro Tooru, the Master. He didn't say much, his gaze silently fixed on Morofushi Kagemitsu, then looked up precisely, meeting Conan's blue eyes.
"Everything is in your hands now." Conan saw this in his eyes.
"Victory will be achieved," Matsuda Jinpei's deep voice rang out. He had somehow walked to the window and looked down at Amuro Tooru, who was gradually disappearing from view. Their eyes met, and they understood each other without a word.
"Well then, I wish the rest of you a happy game!" The broadcast faded into the distance, leaving only the last sentence: "I'm really looking forward to the person who finally stands before me!"
Gin didn't waste any words, raising his gun and firing another burst. Fortunately, Da Vinci was prepared, having already aimed at the target with two cannons hidden behind Gin and fired.
If Smoke Mirror hadn't pulled him out quickly, Gin would have been a bloody mess. Raising his hand axe to block Miyamoto Musashi's blade, Smoke Mirror casually remarked, "You said you came for the truth, didn't you?"
"Reciprocity is key," Leonardo da Vinci replied, hands on his hips.
The robotic arm released an electric current, which struck the face of the person wearing the smoke mask. Although the person wearing the smoke mask dodged quickly, the strands of hair on the side of their ear were still burned into a perm.
Taking advantage of everyone's inattention, Morofushi Kagemitsu concealed himself, gathered his energy, and quickly approached the place where Amuro Tooru had disappeared, picking up the gun that Amuro had thrown down before he vanished.
Then, aim at the target and pull the trigger.
"Bang!"
After a gunshot, Gin was left with a bloody hole in his shoulder.
Gin was taken aback at first, then looked back along the trajectory of the bullet and saw Morofushi Kagemitsu's calm yet serious gaze. He continued to hold the gun as if he wanted to shoot a few more holes in him.
"Smoke Mirror, let's finish this quickly," Gin sneered. "Otherwise, they'll really use my incriminating evidence to judge me."
With his dominant arm crippled by a precise strike, Gin was in an exceptionally bad mood as he watched the rat hopping around in front of him. His gloomy gaze swept over the ordinary Master and Servant opposite him.
A cold, burning rage blazed in his eyes, like a wild beast before it hunts, bloodthirsty and icy.
Fujimaru Ritsuka met his gaze without flinching, her eyes filled with unwavering determination and a dazzling light that Gin couldn't decipher. The best way to end the battle, of course, was—
"A Noble Phantasm, huh?" Smoke Mirror twirled his pistol and chuckled. With a flick of his wrist, he deflected the Servant Fujimaru Ritsuka had used to stop him, and the last two Command Seals vanished from Gin's hand.
“Be courteous, O wind, O wind of night, you enslave us. The time of destruction has come.”
A sudden sandstorm arose, with a fierce wind, unlike anything seen in autumn, sweeping violently northwestward. The sandstorm instantly obscured all vision, as if only a dark, earthy yellow remained between heaven and earth.
The next second, a string of white bones crawled out from the ground, forming the shape of a giant. Even from Conan's perspective, he had to look up to see the white skull on the giant's chest.
He involuntarily took a step back, meeting the serious gazes of Matsuda Jinpei and Asclepius. The God of Healing pulled the two behind him, saying, "Take your evidence and hide."
A red, deathly mist began to spread from behind the skeleton.
Seeing that it was too late to stop it, Fujimaru Ritsuka immediately said, "In the name of the Command Seal, Da Vinci, activate your Noble Phantasm." It wasn't to fight, but to escape.
Good heavens, she's seen plenty of Noble Phantasms from the Smoke Mirror.
The First Sun has an unlimited effective range and can attack an unlimited number of targets. It is a product of the fusion of the underground underworld of Miktlan and the First Sun Era. It dominates and forces all things to obey the various physical laws of the earth's surface.
This also means that the underworld will appear on the surface of the earth, and the giants who were destroyed in the past will return with the First Sun Age.
Fujimaru Ritsuka raised her hand bearing the Command Seal, but Da Vinci's voice rang out before her, "Ritsuka, do not use the Shadow of the Spirit Origin, conserve your power." Da Vinci said calmly and composedly.
Unless the user is summoned normally, even if Artoria Caster is summoned using her Spirit Origin Shadow, the damage can only be reduced, not completely blocked by Smoke Mirror's Noble Phantasm.
“But, Leonardo da Vinci!” Fujimaru Ritsuka clenched her fists, biting her lip without uttering a word. They were extremely close, but she felt the chill growing ever heavier.
“Then try summoning the Servant again,” Da Vinci continued. “If it were you, you would surely succeed.”
“I…!” Fujimaru Ritsuka’s exposed skin was scraped by the sandstorm, and the sand pressed against her skin, causing her eyes to redden with pain.
“Fujimaru Ritsuka.” Little Leonardo da Vinci almost never called her by her full name. “The real Leonardo da Vinci is still monitoring your vital signs at Chaldea.”
The steady voice from the smoke-gauge was exceptionally clear amidst the sandstorm. "—Let's go to the next world. Tonal Tepeyollotl, Heart of the Mountain."
A Command Seal disappeared from the back of Fujimaru Ritsuka's hand.
Leonardo da Vinci retorted defiantly: "You will overcome all difficulties! I will prove it here! 'Existence beyond boundaries'! Come on, go as far as you can!"
The silvery-white Shadow Border cut through the sandstorm, like the last remaining ray of light heading into the distance, and further into the distance.
But the red mist seemed to spread without end, following the wheel tracks until the giant finally caught up with the vehicle rushing towards the new world and lifted it high.
Black magic swirled around Shadow Border, wrapping it up strand by strand, forming a jet-black sphere. Compressing, and compressing again—
A massive burst of red light erupted, its blinding radiance instantly engulfing the entire area.
Conan's gaze was tightly covered by Matsuda Jinpei, and he felt uneasy in the almost silent atmosphere, where only rapid breathing could be heard.
"Officer Matsuda, how are the assistants?!"
Matsuda Jinpei stared hoarsely out the window at the flat, barren ground. Nothing was there; plants and newly cleared ruins had all been completely buried away.
There was no greenery visible to the naked eye, even though it was a forest just a minute ago.
What if Ritsuka and the others...? Matsuda Jinpei frowned and looked down with even more confidence.
Several figures suddenly fell from mid-air. Fujimaru Ritsuka's dazzling orange hair shone brightly in the sunlight. She was still alive!
Matsuda Jinpei breathed a sigh of relief. "They should all still be alive."
Fujimaru Ritsuka crashed to the ground, looking up at the empty sky.
"I am a counterfeit Servant created by BB using materials, inheriting the memories of the previous Leonardo da Vinci. I hope I can meet your expectations."
This was the last sentence Leonardo da Vinci left for her.
