Chapter 229 Falling from the Building

Seeing that she didn't respond, Luo Luo didn't want her to continue forward, as there were Professor Xu's and Teacher Song's offices ahead.

She raised her hand to stop him. "No, I'm telling you, you really can't go any further. The offices are up ahead. If you want to see Professor Xu or Teacher Song, you should make an appointment first."

She touched her chin thoughtfully, seemingly talking to herself, or perhaps reminding herself, "But it seems Teacher Song has a client who came for a consultation today, so it's not convenient to disturb her now..."

"Huh?"

As soon as Luo Luo looked up, something she said seemed to trigger her, and she was pushed to the ground. Fu Yao then rushed down the corridor, opening each door one by one.

Lolo finally realized that something was wrong, but she didn't want to get up rashly and go back to the lab. Several of her senior classmates were distracted by her making a phone call.

"Hello, is this security? A mentally ill person has come to the research lab. Send someone up immediately!!!"

Luo Luo hung up the phone, and several students ran out together, but Fu Yao was nowhere to be seen.

Every door on the floor was open, and many researchers had already come out.

Upon hearing the sound of shattering glass coming from Song Xingyao's office, Luo Luo exclaimed, "Oh no!"

A group of people ran in the same direction.

The door to Song Xingyao's office was pushed open with a loud bang.

Gu Mai was already in the hypnosis treatment room. Song Xingyao was standing facing the window, and there was no other place for her to leave.

Fu Yao held a black ballpoint pen in her hand, which she had apparently taken from some office, with the nib pointing directly at Song Xingyao.

Song Xingyao calmed down and called out to her, "Fu Yao, what are you doing?"

Fu Yao, who was confronting him, seemed not to hear his voice at all, and let out a sinister and eerie laugh, "Hahahaha... Hahahaha..."

He grabbed the glass that was sitting on Gu Mai's seat and threw it at Song Xingyao's position.

Song Xingyao nimbly dodged it, but the cup smashed against the half-open glass window with a loud bang, leaving a crack.

Gu Mai also heard the commotion outside. He came out of the treatment room, and his expression stiffened almost imperceptibly for a moment before returning to normal.

Fu Yao was excited to find that the two people she was looking for were actually in the same place, and then burst into laughter.

Her laughter filled the entire corridor.

The people at the door were driven away by Pei Jing's men who had just arrived.

Seeing the scene before him, he felt a chill run down his spine and called Fu Siming to tell him what was happening.

The driver couldn't go any faster; even if he wanted to drive without speed limits in the city, he was restricted by the constant flow of traffic.

Seeing that the distance was not far, Fu Siming pushed open the door and entered the traffic, startling the driver.

But soon all that could be seen was his nimble figure disappearing from sight.

Fu Yao noticed that there was someone behind her, and her original posture of turning her back to the door changed to leaning against the wall.

However, this unintentionally put Gu Mai and Song Xingyao in an even more cramped corner.

The other direction leads to the treatment room; if you go inside, it will be even more difficult to escape.

The two had no choice but to move in another direction.

Gu Mai and Song Xingyao stood side by side. If she were to pounce on them now, Song Xingyao would have nowhere to retreat and would inevitably be stabbed.

He thought for a moment, then abruptly interrupted Fu Yao's laughter with a greeting, "Long time no see."

Song Xingyao looked up and glanced at him, wondering what he was planning to do.

"I was planning to visit you before leaving Jiangcheng, but I didn't expect you to come by yourself." His nonchalant tone distracted her.

Just when everyone thought the method had worked and Pei Jing was about to breathe a sigh of relief, she heard her shrill voice shout, "Leave! How could you leave? You actually abandoned me! You deserve to die!"

Gu Mai thus diverted much of her danger, and she silently watched the interaction between the two.

As she spoke, she lunged towards the two of them. She had originally intended to reach out and grab them, but Fu Yao nimbly dodged her. Song Xingyao had nowhere to hide, and Fu Yao drew a line of blood mixed with ink on her hand with the pen in her hand. The blood droplets that seeped out were somewhat horrifying.

Pei Jing, standing at the door, exclaimed first, "Madam!"

Song Xingyao followed the movement and went around behind her, but she didn't expect that the woman would turn around and grab her by the neck so quickly.

It's even tightened a little.

Gu Mai was unaware that his cleverness had backfired, and that it had only provoked her.

Pei Jing watched as the pen tip was only a hand's distance from Song Xingyao's neck, and dared not make a move.

Heavy leather shoes came from the other end of the corridor. Pei Jing looked over and saw Fu Siming walking over with a cold face and a thin layer of sweat on his forehead.

Fu Yao also noticed Fu Siming, and her smile deepened.

She looked at him smugly, "Hey! Hahahaha, Fu Siming, you all abandoned me one by one, why?! I am the eldest daughter of the Fu family, I am!!! I am not a substitute! You all love Song Xingyao, right? I won't let you have your way."

Fu Siming saw the long, narrow bloodstain on Song Xingyao's hand, and his eyes flashed with barely concealed anger.

But Fu Yao just kept shouting to herself, and Song Xingyao almost had ringing in her ears from her shrill voice.

He would suddenly fall into a low voice as if talking to himself, and then suddenly roar and curse.

Song Xingyao's voice rang out in the room: "Do you think that by killing me you can become me? Fu Yao."

Those watching were terrified, not knowing what she was going to do, as Song Xingyao's neck was still wrapped around her elbow.

Fu Yao whispered viciously in her ear, "Yes, if I kill you, I will be the only eldest daughter of the Fu family in the world, hahahahaha. Doesn't Fu Siming love you? I will make him watch you die in front of him."

"So what? You still haven't gotten anything, Fu Yao. What you couldn't get before, you still can't get even if you kill me. Just like you couldn't keep the man in front of you."

Her gaze lingered on Gu Mai.

Fu Yao seemed to remember something, her eyes fixed on Gu Mai with hatred. "It was you! You forced me to have the child! It was you! Now, you're leaving me alone in Jiangcheng. How could you do this?!"

Fu Siming watched Fu Yao's movements closely. When he saw her loosen her grip, his heart nearly jumped out of his chest.

Song Xingyao felt the pressure on her neck lessen, and quickly moved away from her, her fingers gripping the knuckles of her pen.

Fu Yao was startled back to her senses by her movements, but it was too late. She saw that Song Xingyao was already firmly held in Fu Siming's arms.

She then lunged at Gu Mai, who dodged to the side. Fu Yao lost her balance and crashed into the wide-open window, falling forward.

Gu Mai instinctively reached out and pulled her.

But he couldn't be stopped. Instead, as he leaned forward, Fu Yao grabbed his collar, and the two of them went out the window together.

Song Xingyao exclaimed, "Ah!"

She saw the two of them fall out of the window and disappear from the house.
