In the unknown century of Guangyuan, the unnamed galaxy achieved unification. To address population issues, a marriage matching system was developed, forcibly pairing people through data calculatio...
"It's nothing, just a small matter."
Zhou Siyu shook her head, put her arm around Yu Wei's neck, kissed him on the cheek, and smiled: "Let's go eat, I'm starving."
Yu Wei nodded, then squatted down with his back to him. Zhou Siyu immediately pounced on his back and hugged his neck tightly.
"Slow down, don't hurt yourself."
Zhou Siyu always liked to jump around, which put a considerable burden on his already fragile heart.
"You're so long-winded." Zhou Siyu pinched Yu Wei's earlobe in annoyance. "Nothing will happen."
He's not a porcelain doll, and besides, jumping around can stretch his muscles and bones.
The two found a small restaurant, picked a seat by the window, ordered their food, and Zhou Siyu took out a tissue and, under the guise of wiping the table, subtly observed the person sitting diagonally behind them.
Noticing Zhou Siyu's unusual behavior, Yu Wei glanced at him casually, pushed the cup full of tea toward Zhou Siyu, and said with a smile, "This tea looks good, you should try it."
Zhou Siyu grasped Yu Wei's hand, and the two exchanged a glance, both understanding each other's thoughts.
Yu Wei rested his chin on his hand, tilted his head, and looked out the window at the scenery. With his other hand, he idly played with his chopsticks, turning them from one end to the other.
Across the street was a middle school. When the bell rang, students in school uniforms streamed out of the school gate and went into the restaurant in twos and threes.
The small restaurant instantly became lively, filled with the sounds of students laughing, joking, and shouting.
The passing people disrupted the view, so Yu Wei frowned slightly, picked up a piece of food for Zhou Siyu, said a few words, and when he turned his head to look at the window again, the person diagonally opposite had disappeared.
Just as I was wondering what was going on, the man suddenly appeared under the telephone pole across the street. He was dressed in black and had his head down, hiding his face and neck in his hood.
The man in black suddenly looked up, and their eyes met.
The man in black moved his lips, then quickly lowered his head and disappeared into the crowd.
Yu Wei concealed his surprise, calmly withdrew his gaze, and placed a piece of food on Zhou Siyu's plate.
"The way you look at me, did you see your little sweetheart?"
While eating, Zhou Siyu joked that he had been staring at Yu Wei the whole time.
"With such a beautiful wife, why would I be interested in anyone else?"
Yu Wei was somewhat surprised, but she quickly composed herself and smiled as she placed the freshly peeled shrimp into Zhou Siyu's bowl.
"I like hearing that. Say it more often in the future."
Zhou Siyu nodded in satisfaction, picked up a piece of meat with her chopsticks and put it into Yu Wei's bowl, looking at him meaningfully: "Eat more, nourish your body."
“I’m strong and healthy, I don’t need any supplements.” Yu Wei fed the peeled shrimp to Zhou Siyu’s lips. “You’re the one who needs to take good care of your health, you’re as thin as a bamboo pole.”
Zhou Siyu opened her mouth and bit into the shrimp. Yu Wei took off her gloves, wiped her hands with a tissue, and said with a smile, "I'll go pay the bill."
"Okay." Zhou Siyu nodded and waved his hand. "Go ahead."
Yu Wei stood up, walked to Zhou Siyu's side, lifted his face and kissed him, while secretly sticking a small chip onto the button with his other hand.
"Don't set a bad example for the kids!" Zhou Siyu patted Yu Wei on the back, pushed him away, and laughed, "It's just going to pay the bill, why make it sound like a life-or-death situation?"
"Don't go anywhere until I get back."
Yu Wei ruffled Zhou Siyu's hair, walked through the crowded people, and disappeared around the corner.
Zhou Siyu looked away, picked up the glass, and poured herself a cup of tea.
Yu Wei saw an acquaintance, and he also saw an acquaintance he wasn't very familiar with.
After sitting for a while, more and more people poured in through the door, and the noise became increasingly loud. Zhou Siyu became a little irritated and got up to leave.
As soon as I stood up, I felt a chill on my waist.
Zhou Siyu glanced down at it; even through the fabric, he could feel the dagger's coldness.
"Mr. Zhou seems very busy. I wonder if you would be interested in sitting down and having a chat?"
A masked man sat across the table. He was dressed in a neat suit that seemed out of place with his surroundings, with two buttons undone, revealing a barely noticeable collarbone.
"Not interested."
"..."
The man was stunned, not expecting Zhou Siyu to refuse so decisively and directly. However, he had experienced many big occasions, and his expression quickly returned to normal.
"I have what you need here. Are you sure you don't want to sit down and talk?"
The man adjusted his glasses, signaling his men to take action.
"What do I need?" Before the person next to her could move, Zhou Siyu quickly sat back down, slowly poured herself a glass of water, and gestured for the man to continue. Before the man could speak, she inexplicably added, "I'm quite curious, what do I need?"
"I heard that President Zhou hasn't been feeling well lately."
“Your information is outdated; this is… news from a month ago.” Zhou Siyu took a sip of water, raised half of her lowered eyelids, glanced at the man as if unintentionally, and chuckled softly: “Sorry, I forgot that Uncle Chu, you are a wanted criminal now.”
"How did Mr. Zhou know you were also a wanted criminal?" Chu Sheng pushed up his glasses.
The alliance of orcs and the imperial army has recently occupied a lot of territory, leaving Yu Wei helpless and forced to retreat in a panic.
Sure enough, he was still too young.
“In the Fifteenth Planet War, quite a few of the people you sent to the army died, didn’t they?” Zhou Siyu’s phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, and she smiled brightly. “I’m sorry for accidentally reopening your wound.”
A flash of anger crossed Chu Sheng's face, and the veins on his hand gripping the cup bulged. It took him several minutes to slowly relax.
Sitting opposite Chu Sheng, Zhou Siyu leaned back in her chair and looked at him with amusement. "Let me guess why you're looking for me."
