Chapter 42 Mine, mine, mine!

Zhou Siyu pinched her wound, her eyes red-rimmed, and weakly raised her hand.

“Miss Zhang, you can curse me, hit me, and slander me, but how could you say such things about Yu Wei?” Zhou Siyu looked at Zhang Jin indignantly. “He said he was very grateful to you for taking him in, but he has worked for you for free for the past three years and even fought in underground boxing rings to raise money for your tuition. Hasn’t he done enough?”

“I know you siblings are very close, and I shouldn’t interfere in your relationship. I know you hate me, but you shouldn’t ruin your own reputation by slandering me.” Zhou Siyu coughed weakly. “You have a long road ahead of you, why bother?”

“I didn’t slander you.” Zhang Jin said, tears streaming down her face, as she held Zheng Li’s hand. “I really didn’t slander him, Lili, you have to believe me.”

Zheng Li was about to speak when Zheng Ming glared at her, and she quickly lowered her head.

"Lily, don't you believe me either?"

Zhang Jin leaned against the pillar, looking lost and dejected, her head tilted slightly back as if trying to swallow her tears.

"I understand."

"I am powerless, I am despicable, I am shameless, I have willingly fallen into depravity." Zhang Jin slapped him across the face. "It's my fault, I slandered you, I deserve to die!"

"What kind of skill is it for two grown men to bully a weak woman?"

"You treacherous, ungrateful wretch!"

"How can there still be such shameless people selling themselves for personal gain these days..."

"He appears respectable on the surface, but in reality he is a hypocrite and a beast in human clothing..."

"Please stop scolding him, it's my fault, scold me instead," Zhang Jin cried, tears streaming down her face. "I slandered him, it was all my fault..."

"Sigh..." Zhou Siyu sighed deeply, lowered her head and looked down as if she had been frightened. "Yes, you're right, you're slandering me..."

"Zhang Jin, shut the hell up!" Yu Wei wanted nothing more than to tear this woman apart with his bare hands, swearing wildly at her. "I haven't even settled the score with you for pushing Si Yu into the river yet!"

"Yu Wei, don't blame her, she must have accidentally slipped..."

Zhou Siyu tugged at Yu Wei, saying that this was not the time to settle old scores, or they would lose!

"Shut up too!"

Yu Wei lowered his voice and pressed Zhou Siyu's head into his arms.

"I don't care who's slandering whom, produce the evidence." Yu Wei calmed down and said coldly, "Stop rambling on about trivial matters, it's pointless."

“If Si Yu has truly wronged you, we will naturally take responsibility. If you have slandered him, you must apologize.”

"Yes, yes, I remember there are surveillance cameras here."

Zheng Ming pretended to have just remembered and asked the manager to check the surveillance video.

Not long after, the manager walked up to Zheng Ming and whispered something in his ear.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Zhou, this area is a blind spot for the surveillance cameras..."

"It's alright, the innocent will clear themselves, it's nothing for me to suffer a little injustice." Zhou Siyu leaned against Yu Wei's chest and waved her hand weakly, "As long as Yu Wei believes in me, that's enough."

"Say less, and your face will turn as white as paper." Yu Wei touched Zhou Siyu's forehead. "Get some sleep and replenish your energy."

"Hey~ Zhou Siyu, you've finally met your match."

Zheng Li walked down the stairs, holding a remote control in his hand, and pushed through the crowd to stand in front of Zhou Siyu.

"Zheng Li, what are you doing here causing trouble?" Zheng Ming said in a low voice, "How dare you call President Zhou by his name?"

"I'm not here to cause trouble." Zheng Li shook the remote control. "I was just upstairs playing with the drone and I accidentally saw everything."

Although he also dislikes Zhou Siyu, he's on Zhou Siyu's side this time.

After all, he and Zhang Jin went to the same school and majored in the same field, so he knew her too well. She was vain, narcissistic, and hypocritical. Her family was so poor they couldn't even afford to eat, but her clothes, shoes, and bags were all designer brands. She would cry and whine over the slightest scrape, and she would throw things around when she got angry. She had no princess life, but she had all the princess syndrome.

The problem is that she keeps breaking things, and of course, she always breaks other people's things. The new camera he lent to Zheng Li was smashed to pieces before it was even used for a month, and it died a glorious death.

"This drone happens to have a projection function. Uncle, do you mind if I turn off the lights?"

Zheng Li shook the remote control and raised an eyebrow at Zhang Jin, "Now it's in my hands."

Zheng Ming nodded, and the manager took out a walkie-talkie and asked the staff to turn off the lights.

The drone flew over every corner of the hall, capturing everyone's movements. Zhou Siyu appeared in the frame, frowning as if he was thinking about something. Suddenly, he turned around, as if he had heard someone call him.

Zhou Siyu disappeared from the screen, and the drone continued to fly aimlessly, like someone who was bored out of their mind.

Suddenly, a man and a woman appeared in the corner. The drone's owner seemed to have noticed this as well, and manipulated the drone to find the right angle.

The man and woman in the video seem to be talking. The woman says something and suddenly grabs the man's clothes. Then she takes a long object off her head and tries to stab herself with it. The man reacts quickly and grabs her. In the struggle, the object pierces straight into the man's chest.

The man clutched his chest and slowly squatted down, while the woman frantically tore at her skirt, leaving only enough to cover her vital parts.

Then a group of people gathered around to watch, until Zheng Li appeared with a remote control.

“People can lie, but videos don’t.” Zheng Li pointed to the screen. “It’s real-time, and it’s still fresh in our minds.”

"Brother Yuwei, it's not like that, let me explain..."

Zhang Jin hurriedly got up, but the fabric that barely covered her slipped down, startling her so much that she immediately shrank back.

"Apologize!" Yu Wei didn't even bother to look at Zhang Jin, and said coldly, "Don't force me to call the police."

Even the least serious offense is manslaughter. Although Zhou Siyu's wound has scabbed over, it is too deep and she still needs to go to the hospital for treatment.
