"Crack!"

The once quiet sky was suddenly filled with lightning and thunder, but it was just thunder without any rain.

"Holy crap! Why is it thundering?!"

"Could it be that a fellow cultivator is undergoing tribulation?"

The bar owner knocked on the door, breaking the silence, "Um... I left the umbrella outside."

"Did Zhou Siyu say something to you?" Lin Gu shook Yu Zhen's shoulder. "Tell me, did he say something?"

“Yes, he said there was still a chance for us, and asked me to help you and Cen Jin draw a clear line; he said he could give me a job so I wouldn’t have to rely on you completely; he said that even if I had nothing left in the future, I could still come to him.” Yu Zhen lightly flicked away the cigarette ash and raised her eyes. “But Lin Gu, I don’t want to compromise.”

“I can’t stand a speck of dust in my eyes. I can’t stand Cen Jin taking my husband, holding my son, and flaunting her wealth in front of me with the money I gave her.”

He was indignant. Cen Jin was clearly the outsider, so why should he have to back down? Why should he live in someone else's house, eat someone else's food, wear someone else's clothes, and be taken by someone else's people? Cen Jin was clearly the one who ruined everything, so why should he get all of this?

Everyone says that taking a step back opens up a whole new world, but he doesn't want that. He wants to force Lin Gu to make a choice; he wants a result.

He understood what Zhou Siyu meant: to draw a clear line between Cen Jin and Lin Gu, so that they would consciously distance themselves from each other and eventually return to normal life.

Zhou Siyu didn't know that neither Lin Gu nor Cen Jin were self-aware people; ambiguity under clear boundaries only made them feel more excited.

Zhou Siyu's plan was based on Cen Jin and Lin Gu's sense of morality, but neither of them had anything to do with the word "morality".

"I'm going to find him!"

Lin Gu's eyes widened in fury; he knew it was Zhou Siyu causing trouble. He just couldn't stand seeing others do well.

Yu Zhen has always been a virtuous wife and loving mother. However, after going out with Zhou Siyu for a few months, she wanted to separate from him when she came back. It must be Zhou Siyu who instigated her behind the scenes.

"You dare!" Yu Zhen stubbed out his cigarette, staring coldly at Lin Gu's face, his disappointment mixed with anger. "Lin Gu, I am truly disappointed in you."

“You weren’t like this before!” Lin Gu sat back down, looking at Yu Zhen and speaking softly, “You are gentle and generous. Although you can be a little temperamental sometimes, you never get angry, and you have never said these kinds of things before…”

"People change." Yu Zhen closed her eyes wearily. "Didn't you also say that you would only be good to me in this life and would never have affairs?"

"But I kept my word! After we got together, I deleted all contact information for other women and came home to be with you every day on time..."

"Who gave it to you?"

With each swipe, Lin Gu's face darkened further. Yu Zhen pretended not to notice and directly clicked on the last video.

The offensive sounds were particularly jarring in the empty room. Lin Gu's forehead veins bulged, and his hands unconsciously clenched into fists.
