Chapter 79 The Former Top Student

However, fate was not so kind to Yu Wei. Zuo Li raised his eyes, glanced at the table, and then looked at Yu Wei, his face clearly saying "you know what I mean."

Yu Wei resignedly lowered his head, sighed, and began calculating his exercise volume for the morning.

After finishing the training exercise, Yu Wei returned to the base just in time for breakfast. He was starving and used the last bit of strength to rush into the canteen, pick up the food that had already been allocated to him, and sit in a corner to eat his fill.

"This is your task assignment for today."

Zuo Li placed a card in front of Yu Wei, sat down opposite Yu Wei with his plate, and slowly drank his milk.

"So many tasks?" The A4 paper was densely covered with plans. Yu Wei was so shocked that he quickly bit off half a meat bun to calm his nerves. He looked at the paper and then at Zuo Li. "Even the donkeys in the production team don't have this many tasks."

This day, he was either training or on his way to training. No, this wasn't training; it was being trained to the point of obedience!

"What's the problem?"

Zuo Li picked up a custard bun, took a bite, and chewed it slowly.

His motto is "Train him to death as long as he doesn't die." Yu Wei can handle this level of intensity.

"I've already said it, can you change it?"

Judging from Zuo Li's eyes, there was no room for negotiation. Yu Wei dejectedly put down the paper and took a big bite of the steamed bun.

A glimpse of the densely packed words in my peripheral vision made the steamed bun in my mouth suddenly lose its flavor.

Why is life so difficult!

Just after finishing breakfast, Yu Wei was led to the fighting training ground by Zuo Li.

There weren't many people in the training ground. Zuo Li led Yu Wei straight to the triangular cage in the middle, crossed his arms, and leisurely watched the battle inside.

Yu Wei stood behind Zuo Li, watching absentmindedly as the muscular man and a tall, thin bamboo pole exchanged punches and kicks. To be precise, it was the muscular man unilaterally beating up the bamboo pole.

This kind of one-sided domination is meaningless.

"Hey, busy man, what brings you here?"

Lin Ling jumped down from the platform and walked over to Zuo Li, waving her hand, but her eyes were fixed on Yu Wei behind Zuo Li: "Kid, what did you see?"

"The guy on the left, the muscular guy, is too slow with his punches and his lower body is unstable. If I were the stick guy on the right, I would definitely attack his lower body, first with a sweeping leg, then a side kick."

"Bamboo Pole looks fine in all aspects, but his physical strength is worse than Muscle Man's. In short, he can't last long. He might be able to win if he finishes the fight quickly, but he can't find Muscle Man's weakness. He will definitely be worn down in less than five minutes."

"Not bad, you figured that out after only a few minutes." Lin Ling smiled and patted Zuo Li on the shoulder. "You win this round."

"I was going to win anyway."

With a mix of pride and smugness, Zuo Li found Yu Wei much more agreeable, and he hadn't forgotten everything he had taught him.

Lin Ling and Zuo Li exchanged glances and smiled at each other. Yu Wei felt a chill run from the soles of his feet straight to his brain.

Is it too late for him to leave now?

As it turned out, Yu Wei's sixth sense was very accurate.

No sooner had Zuo Li left than Lin Ling tossed a pair of boxing gloves to Yu Wei, "Want to practice?"

"This...isn't necessary?"

Yu Wei chuckled as he backed away. Fighting others costs money, but training with the league's fighting champion is a death sentence!

"What are you afraid of? I'm not going to eat anyone." Lin Ling finished bandaging herself, climbed into the triangular cage, and looked down at Yu Wei. "Stop being so girly, come on up and let me see your strength."

"Haha, never mind..."

Yu Wei swallowed hard. His second uncle was all muscle and looked like someone not to be trifled with.

"Free fighting, come on then! A grown man, dawdling..."

Upon hearing this, Yu Wei threw off his gloves, took off his coat, and jumped into the triangular cage.

With a flick of his wrist and a twist of his head, Yu Wei struck a pose, beckoned to Lin Ling, and said with a smile, "If I have offended you in any way, I hope my second uncle will forgive me."

"Are you sure you want to fight me bare-handed?" Lin Ling blinked, clenched her fist, and tilted her head. "My fists don't have eyes."

"Respect the elderly and care for the young."

Yu Wei smiled and beckoned, then put his left hand behind his back, his provocative intent obvious.

Lin Ling was not annoyed and launched an attack with a kick.

Yu Wei, with his hands behind his back, calmly dodged the attack, as leisurely as if he were taking a stroll.

The fight between the two attracted a large crowd of onlookers. People gathered around after hearing the commotion, and the usually quiet training ground suddenly became noisy.

"Hey, who's that kid? Taking on Instructor Lin one-on-one? That's too arrogant."

"I don't know, maybe she's new here." The muscular man shook his head and said disdainfully, "She looks like a naive and delicate girl. I could take on three of her with one punch."

"Keep bragging," another man glanced at the muscular man. "You can't even beat a bamboo pole, yet you have the nerve to talk big. I'm ashamed for you."

Bamboo Pole was the thinnest person in his batch of trainees. His tall stature and fair skin stood out among a group of muscular men who were as black as coal, making him a natural target for ridicule and mockery.

"As if you got away with something from him."

The muscular man snorted, turned his head, and quietly watched the fight on the stage.

The man nicknamed "Bamboo Pole" sat alone in a corner, his thin lips pressed tightly together, watching the stage without saying a word.

They didn't know who the young man was, but he knew that it was General Yu, who had just returned to his unit after completing a mission. He was a three-time consecutive champion of the Alliance Army's fighting championship and an invincible legend in the triangular cage.

Lin Ling was getting impatient as Yu Wei skillfully thwarted her attacks several times. Yu Wei's near-perfect defense left her with no openings, and he kept his temper in check, clearly trying to wear her down.
