Chapter 90 Hi, General

"That's more like it." Zhou Siyu rubbed against Yu Wei's clothes with satisfaction and put her arms around his waist: "Baby also needs your pheromones to soothe him, otherwise there might be defects."

"Mmm, I got it." Yu Wei nodded emphatically, picked up a strand of hair and kissed it. "Thank you for your hard work."

"Hmph, of course." Zhou Siyu raised her head and touched Yu Wei's face. "Knowing how hard it was for me, you still made me fly so far to find you?"

“I…” Yu Wei lowered his head, like a child who had done something wrong, pointing at his index finger, “I’m sorry, I didn’t expect you to come here…”

"Why don't you explain why you ran away from home?"

“Hmm… because the pressure is too great.” Yu Wei tilted his head and thought for a moment before carefully speaking, “My father and uncles have too high expectations of me. I’m afraid they will be disappointed, and I’m also afraid my brothers will be disappointed in me.”

“I can’t reach my father’s level, nor can I be a qualified leader. I can’t find a way to solve my predicament.”

"So you chose to run away?"

Zhou Siyu raised an eyebrow and pulled up Yu Wei's trembling hand, which was resting anxiously on her knees. "You chose to let everyone go and make them worry about you?"

"I...I've already told the teacher, I'll be back soon."

"How long is 'soon'?" Zhou Siyu pressed, determined to resolve Yu Wei's matter today. "Three days? Five days? Seven days? Half a month? Or half a year?"

"I have no idea."

"Unless there's an emergency, are you planning to never contact headquarters again?"

"Yes... I have that plan."

Yu Wei, who had been glared at fiercely, dared not speak. He lowered his head and continued fiddling with his fingers, his eyes darting around guiltily.

"As the supreme commander, you abandoned your army and your responsibilities and ran away without a sound. It really opened my eyes."

Zhou Siyu really wanted to slap him flat. This guy not only ran away quietly, but he also dared to turn off his communicator and cut off all contact with the outside world.

"I...I was wrong..."

Yu Wei buried his head even deeper, as if he wanted to bury himself upside down in the ground.

"Don't do it again." Zhou Siyu twisted his ear, her eyes fierce: "If you dare to run again, I'll break your legs."

"Yes, yes, I promise." Yu Wei raised his hand and gently shook Zhou Siyu's arm, lowering his head and looking down. "I will work hard and train hard when I get back... I won't let you and Dad worry anymore."

“Yu Wei, these are things you should do, not things you have to do. I don’t know if you can understand that.” Zhou Siyu pinched the bridge of her nose. “You’re still running away…”

“But I’m afraid I can’t do it.” Yu Wei put down his hand and stared at the ground dejectedly. “Do you know? Because of my suggestion, many of the people Lin Gu brought died. Because I misled others, those who barely survived still died.”

"I wanted to win with minimal sacrifice, but I failed every time. Many people who shouldn't have died died."

"They did not die under the enemy's guns, they did not fall on the battlefield, they died by my hand."

“The fact that you realize this means you’ve started to reflect.” Zhou Siyu cupped Yu Wei’s face and gently wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes with her fingertips. “What you should do now is not wallow in self-pity, but learn from your experience; not run away from blame, but bravely face the punishment, because you were wrong.”

"But we can't be afraid to take another step forward just because we made a mistake."

"No one is born perfect, and no one is infallible. Everyone makes mistakes, but what's more terrible than making mistakes is running away from them."

Zhou Siyu rummaged through her bag and pulled out several thick notebooks, handing them to Yu Wei. The gold lettering on the black covers was worn and illegible, indicating that the notebooks' owner must have picked them up countless times.

“This was found in your room. Uncle Lin said it’s your diary.” Zhou Siyu withdrew her hand and added righteously, “Let me make one thing clear: I didn’t read it, nor did I violate your privacy.”

"Thank you." Yu Wei took the notebook, stood up, and kissed Zhou Siyu on the cheek. "You've worked hard."

"Good to know. Aren't you going to take me to eat? I'm starving."

As Zhou Siyu spoke, she wrapped her arms around Yu Wei's neck and forced him to pick her up.

"Slow down, be careful of your stomach."

"Don't worry, this guy is tough." Zhou Siyu grumbled, and punched Yu Wei without hesitation: "You're already so protective of this guy before he's even born. You definitely won't love me anymore once he's born."

"How could that be? You are my darling."

"You're kidding, you definitely like this guy more."

"No, that's not it. I like you the most." Yu Wei hugged Zhou Siyu tightly and walked slowly. "Because of you, I like it. No one else can do it."

"So... if I and it fell into the water at the same time, who would you save first?"

"I'll save you."

"What if I, it, and Uncle Lin all fell into the water together?"

"Save you and your father first."

"What if it falls into the water along with the milk-flavored steamed bun?"

"Save the milk-flavored steamed buns."

"Haha, did you hear that?" Zhou Siyu glanced at her belly smugly. "Your dad loves me the most. You're ranked after a little dog in his heart."

As soon as he finished speaking, Zhou Siyu felt a pain in his abdomen for a second or two. He frowned, and Yu Wei held him and sat him on a chair. While releasing pheromones to soothe him, Yu Wei placed his hand on Zhou Siyu's stomach and threatened him fiercely: "If you keep making trouble, I'll send you back to heaven."

Zhou Siyu hugged Yu Wei's neck and rubbed against him, looking at him with a smile: "Let's go eat."

"Um."

Yu Wei nodded, picked up Zhou Siyu, and passed by a dilapidated flower bed. A pale yellow color caught Yu Wei's eye.
