In the unknown century of Guangyuan, the unnamed galaxy achieved unification. To address population issues, a marriage matching system was developed, forcibly pairing people through data calculatio...
"How about it?"
"The situation is worse than we thought."
Is there any solution?
He needs you.
"Dad, you know I can't go back right now." Yu Wei sighed, scratched his head, and after thinking for a few seconds, tentatively asked, "How about... we don't keep the baby?"
"Think it over carefully yourselves."
"Dad, if... anything unexpected happens, please make sure Siyu survives. As for the rest... you can handle it."
"Are you sure?" Lin Ling was stunned, wondering if he had misheard. "Do you know what that means?"
“I know.” Yu Wei nodded, looking up at the sky: “I can do without children, without offspring, but I cannot leave Si Yu. So, no matter what it takes, I will make sure he lives.”
Please.
"I understand." Lin Ling nodded, then sighed deeply, rubbing her forehead. "Be careful."
"Okay, that's all for now, I have something to do."
Yu Wei hung up the communicator, leaned against the corridor, his expression cold and his gaze firm. Descendants? If there are none, so be it. His family has no throne to inherit anyway.
The initial purpose of having a child was simply to keep Zhou Siyu entertained.
He never makes choices. Since he can't have his cake and eat it too, why does he have to eat fish?
"General Yu, General Lin and the others have arrived at their destination."
"Proceed according to plan."
Yu Wei pulled himself out of his thoughts, walked to the command room, and carefully looked at the screen, analyzing the data.
Zhou Qi was good at choosing locations. This place is surrounded by the sea and is shrouded in fog all year round, making it a natural barrier that is difficult for airplanes and ships to cross.
With the addition of counter-reconnaissance equipment and other mechanisms, submarines became ineffective.
"General Yu, news from the front lines indicates that the counter-reconnaissance equipment has been neutralized..."
"Huh? So fast?" Yu Wei was very puzzled. Lin Gu had only been inside for less than two days. How did he manage to do that?
"Yes, and that's what the investigators who were sent out reported as well."
"Call Lin Gang over."
Yu Wei felt that something was wrong, but he couldn't quite put his finger on it.
"Brother Yu, did you call me?"
"Gangzi, come here." Yu Wei beckoned and put his arm on Lin Gang's shoulder: "I have to give you an important mission. Choose two trustworthy people and lead two small teams to land one nautical mile from the island."
Is there some important mission?
Excitement gleamed in Lin Gang's eyes; the tasks Yu Ge gave him were all very challenging.
"Stay put." Yu Wei thought for a moment. "If we haven't received any news by the fourth day, then tell them..."
"Fight in?"
"Take them back."
"ha?"
Lin Gang was puzzled. Why go back? Wouldn't it be better to just fight our way in?
“I feel like something’s off, but I can’t quite put my finger on it.” Yu Wei sighed. “I’ll take ten men in to scout ahead. You follow me and come in after we get the news.”
"If we haven't received any news in four days at most, we'll send a message to them to fetch reinforcements."
Due to the special nature of the mission, headquarters only sent about thirty people. If Zhou Qi had managed to put a Gatling gun or missile inside, they wouldn't have needed to go back.
"No, I'll go first. You take the lead and provide backup outside, Brother Yu..."
"This is an order."
"yes!"
Lin Gang stood at attention, saluted, and turned to leave.
Yu Wei is always like this; he rushes ahead first, but leaves the task of kicking down the door to others.
Without interference, Yu Wei and his group quickly reached the airspace above the isolated island.
The high-definition detector could see the entire island clearly; every pebble and every blade of grass was clearly visible.
On the isolated island, there is a flat-roofed building, several small villas, and a few low-rise, pure white buildings. The wide roads are shaded by green trees, making it look like a simple community.
People carrying parachutes landed like eagles on the open ground near the building. Yu Wei untied the parachutes, made a gesture to gather the ten people, and they quickly assembled while observing the situation.
After a brief task assignment, the ten people were divided into pairs and headed toward their respective goals.
Yu Wei and Lin Gang carefully bypassed the patrol. Their target was the tallest flat-roofed building; their intuition told them there was something inside.
After all, it was the only building with a wall, so it was hard not to attract attention.
The two cautiously leaned against the door. There was no sound from inside. They exchanged a glance, and just as Lin was about to kick the door, a deep male voice sounded behind them.
"General Yu is coming, why didn't you tell me in advance?"
"Haha, I just didn't know how to contact them."
"Gangzi, let's go!"
Yu Wei immediately kicked open the door, pulled Lin Gang inside quickly, and flung out vines to tightly entangle the door lock.
As the doors slammed shut, the world was plunged into darkness.
In the vast space, it was pitch black, with only a faint, shimmering green light.
Yu Wei raised his head, looked around, and noticed a flash of red light in the corner. He rubbed his eyes, but when he looked again, there was only darkness.
"Strange," Yu Wei muttered, before he could think about it further, he was startled by Lin Gang's voice.
"Brother Yu, look..."
Lin Gang turned on his flashlight and was nearly scared to death.
Yu Wei followed the beam of the flashlight and saw that several meters tall glass jars contained people of different ages and sizes, and the shimmering green light was emitted by a small object on the top of the jars.
"How disgusting! They actually conducted live experiments on humans, it's outrageous!"
Lin Gang turned his head away, and a gaunt face suddenly loomed large in front of him, startling him so much that he blurted out "Holy crap!" and stumbled backward into another glass jar.
