The person in the jar could no longer be called a human. He had no limbs, his long, withered hair floated in the water like seaweed, his eye sockets were sunken, and his skin was pale with a bluish-black tinge.

The most terrifying thing was that his lips opened and closed as if he were saying something.

"Incredible, he's still alive."

Yu Wei mustered his courage and tapped the glass jar. A pair of dark eyes instantly turned to him, their unfathomable depths sending chills down his spine.

"Giggle...coo..."

"What did he say?"

"He's calling for help... Help me... No! Run!"

Before the words were finished, a monster with a blue face, fangs, and wings like a bat appeared on the jar, emitting a piercing scream.

The monster had bat-like wings, and a rat-like face with long, sharp teeth. Thick saliva dripped from its teeth onto the jar, making it look particularly disgusting. It had two pairs of curved horns on its head, one large and one small, and lantern-like eyes that were especially eerie.

"Holy crap! What kind of monster is that...?"

"run!"

Yu Wei grabbed Lin Gang's hand and ran wildly. These glass jars were like a maze, and sometimes they crashed into them before they could react.

"Hehehe..."

The monster leaped on the glass jar, its blood-red eyes like two large light bulbs, particularly glaring in the green light.

"Bang bang bang..."

"Sir, it's locked inside..."

"Smash it open!"

The man's furious voice echoed outside the door. The monster had escaped! They had been searching for it for days, only to find it hiding here.

"Clang, clang..."

The glass jar was pierced by a bullet and shattered on the ground, spilling a foul-smelling liquid that flowed into every corner.

Seeing the monster relentlessly pursuing him, Yu Wei raised his hand and fired a shot at the wall. The monster's attention was drawn, and it crouched on the jar, "staring" at the corner.

Seeing that the monster's attention was diverted, Yu Wei raised his hand and flung out vines to wrap around the railing. He then put his arm around Lin Gang's waist, lightly touched the ground with his toes, and leaped onto the second floor using the jars.

The two of them crouched down, pressed against the wall, trying their best to control the faint sound of their shoes stepping on the thin iron plate.

"Bang!"

The gate was blown open, and a group of men in black walked out through the smoke and dust. The man in the middle was wearing a black suit, leaning on a cane, and walking with a limp.

"Giggle...giggle~"

A strange sound rang out, and the man in black raised his gun and looked around.

"ah!"

A dark shadow flashed by, followed by a shrill scream. A faint smell of blood filled the air, along with the stench of an unknown liquid. Lin Gang and Yu Wei almost vomited.

"What is that?"

"ah!"

"Help……"

"ah!"

Screams filled the air, the stench of blood grew stronger, the sounds of chewing grew louder, and immense fear spread through the crowd, from their feet to their very brains.

"Aaaaaah, I can't take it anymore!"

"Bang bang bang..."

"Whoosh whoosh whoosh..."

Bullets pierced through glass jars, hitting walls and floors. Under immense mental pressure, they had completely gone mad, frantically firing at the air.

"Brother Yu... Oh my~"

Lin Gang turned his face away, looking at the bullet that was only centimeters away from his eyelashes with lingering fear, and swallowed hard.

"Walk."

Yu Wei patted Lin Gang, crouching down. He seemed to have seen an escalator by the firelight, which should be a way to go up.

Strictly speaking, the place they were in wasn't on the second floor, but rather a platform suspended above the lobby on the first floor.

The man in black was busy dealing with the monster and didn't notice the two sneaky figures at all. The monster was busy grabbing the little snacks in front of it and had long forgotten about the two tiny creatures that weren't even enough to fill its teeth.

Therefore, the two quickly went up to the second floor. Unlike the first floor, the second floor had many rooms, and each door had a hole the size of a fist, just like a prison cell.

Yu Wei peered through the hole but couldn't see anything. He then released the vines and let them go through the small hole, finally getting a clear view of the whole scene.

The small room, about one square meter in size, was spotless on all sides. In the corner sat a person dressed in a white robe, with messy long hair covering half of their face. They were already lifeless.

Yu Wei searched several more rooms but still couldn't find Yu Zhen. In desperation, he released a lot of vines and searched all the rooms on the second floor at the same time.

Lin Gang's mouth was so open it could fit an egg, and his eyes were as wide as ping-pong balls.

Good heavens, what kind of monster is this?

I never imagined that Yu Wei was actually a half-beast... oops, a half-vegetable!

"grass!"

Having found nothing, Yu Wei withdrew the vines and muttered a curse under his breath.

“We can’t stay here any longer, we need to get out of here quickly.” Yu Wei stood up and crouched as he walked up the stairs. “This building has no windows, the top floor is our only chance.”

"Will you be able to use the miniature flying vehicles that come with the mech?"

"meeting."

"That's good."

Yu Wei nodded and tried the same trick on the third floor, but after searching for a while, he still found nothing. The same thing happened on the fourth floor. After going up a few more steps, a small door that could only allow one person to pass through appeared in front of him.

"K71, stop at point Q and lower the rescue ladder."

"All members, move toward point Q...prepare to evacuate."

Yu Wei closed the door and pointed to a field in front of the flat-roofed building. "The spaceship will meet us there. We can fly over and leave."

"Since you're already here, why not sit down and have a cup of tea?"

A familiar voice rang out, and Yu Wei turned around in disbelief, a black gun barrel pressed against his forehead.

"Lin Gu? What are you doing?"

"Click-clack..."

The sound of a pistol being cocked rang out, and the hard muzzle pressed against his waist. Yu Wei understood what was happening and chuckled softly, "We're all brothers who've been through thick and thin together. Isn't it a bit unfair to do this?"
