The courtyard was bustling, and so was the kitchen of the steel rolling mill. As soon as work started, Factory Director Ma Huayang's secretary led Director Wang to the kitchen.

Director Wang called out to MCA: "MCA, come out here for a moment."

Although Ma Hua was somewhat surprised, he still put down his teacup and walked towards Director Wang: "Director Wang, is there something wrong? I'm busy preparing the dishes. If we don't make it in time for lunch, I'm afraid I won't be able to help you."

Director Wang glanced at Ma Hua with a hint of helplessness, knowing full well that Ma Hua's words were not directed at him.

When Yang, the factory director's secretary, heard Ma Hua dare to speak sarcastically to him, he immediately became furious. Who did he think he was? The factory director's secretary! So many people in the factory would bow and scrape before him, and everyone would fawn over him.

He's just a lousy cook, how dare he be so disrespectful to me?

Thinking of this, Director Yang's secretary ignored Ma Hua and instead said to Director Wang, "I've long heard that Director Wang is a good manager, but now it seems he's not all that great."

“Look at what Secretary Zhang is saying. Comrade Ma Hua is doing this out of love for his work and to do his job well. In the end, it is we who have delayed his work.”

Director Wang wasn't one to take a loss lying down. "Who do you think you are, trying to undermine me?" he retorted. "Go ahead and fire me if you dare, pshaw."

"You!" Secretary Zhang was speechless with anger, but quickly remembered the task that Factory Director Yang had just assigned him. He spoke arrogantly to Ma Hua.

"Comrade Ma Hua, I'm informing you now. Put down your work; the factory leadership has decided to send you to the machine repair shop at the branch factory to help out for a few days."

After speaking, Secretary Zhang gave Ma Hua a haughty look, waiting for Ma Hua to beg him.
