Ma Hua never expected that just after transmigrating, he would be beaten by Idiot Zhu for speaking ill of Qin Huairu, and then be called by Idiot Zhu to take the blame for him. Why should he?
Qin Huairu initially wanted to feign a pitiful appearance after hearing Jia Zhangshi's words, but the child's subsequent remarks completely extinguished her spirits. She immediately got up, straightened her clothes, and walked towards the door. Opening the door, she smiled at Sha Zhu standing there and said, "Zhu Zi, what's the matter so late?"
Sha Zhu, who was anxiously waiting outside the door, saw his sister Qin and looked Qin Huairu up and down anxiously. When he saw the handprint still remaining on Qin Huairu's delicate face, he said angrily, "Didn't I hear from Uncle San that Ma Hua, that bastard, came to our courtyard to cause trouble this morning?"
Qin Huairu nodded: "Yes, Ma Hua even broke all of the old lady's things in our courtyard. Many people saw it." At this moment, Qin Huairu was speechless. How come Sha Zhu's hands were empty? Didn't they say that Sha Zhu went to cook for someone? How come he came back empty-handed?
Hearing this, Sha Zhu became even more furious. How dare this Ma Hua! "Ahhh! I'm going to kill him! That bastard! He's driving me crazy!"
After venting his anger, Sha Zhu turned to Qin Huairu and asked, "Sister Qin, are you alright?" Sha Zhu looked at the slap mark still on Qin Huairu's face with some heartache.
Qin Huairu felt a little awkward: "It's nothing, what could possibly be wrong with me? Oh, Zhuzi, where did you go today? Have you eaten? If not, come over and have something to eat." Qin Huairu cursed inwardly, *My mother-in-law was watching! How can I tell you it was my mother-in-law who hit me?*
"Ah, Sister Qin, wait a moment," Sha Zhu said hurriedly to Qin Huairu when he heard her mention eating, and then ran towards the front yard.
Qin Huairu glanced at Sha Zhu speechlessly, then closed the door and sat back down in her chair. "What's the point of talking if there's no lunchbox? You've made me waste so much of my feelings."
Madam Jia, who was inside the room, saw everything clearly and immediately retorted sarcastically, "Alright, hurry up and eat, lest you bring some unclean things. Eating them will make you sick."
Qin Huairu sat in the chair with a gloomy face, not saying a word. Bangeng, who had been clamoring for meat just moments before, could only obediently pick up the cornbread that had been left on the table and start eating it again when he saw that Qin Huairu was angry.
On the other side, Sha Zhu hurriedly ran to Yan Bugui's side, just in time to see the lunchbox in Yan Bugui's hand, and snatched it from Yan Bugui's hand: "Thank you, Teacher Yan. I have something to do, so I'll be going now."
He took it and left, leaving behind a furious Yan Bugui. That idiot Zhu was so rude! I even helped him carry it for a bit; if it weren't for me, it would have fallen to the ground long ago. Ugh!
Yan Bugui spat at Sha Zhu's back and then ran home happily: "Ruihua, hurry up and chop some more cabbage and stew it with this, it will definitely be delicious." It has to be said that Sha Zhu's stir-fried dishes are really delicious. Sha Zhu, you never expected this, did you? Your third uncle has come up with a deceptive trick.
Sha Zhu grabbed the lunchbox and ran straight to the Jia family's door, banging, "Sister Qin, Sister Qin, open the door quickly!"
Qin Huairu sighed helplessly, then slowly stood up and opened the door for Sha Zhu. Sha Zhu proudly held up the lunchbox in front of Qin Huairu: "Sister Qin, look, this is what they gave me when I helped in the kitchen today."
"Wow, so many!" Qin Huairu stared greedily at the three lunchboxes in Sha Zhu's hands. Sha Zhu had originally wanted to playfully wrestle with Qin Huairu as before and take advantage of her, but when he saw Jia Zhangshi's murderous gaze inside the room, Sha Zhu trembled with fear. That old woman's eyes were terrifying.
Sha Zhu could only obediently hand the lunchbox to Qin Huairu: "Yes, the host is being generous this time. Anyway, I can't finish it all by myself, so let's eat together."
What do you mean by the host being generous? You're shameless, making outrageous demands! Not only do you want money, but you also want to bring your own food. The host had no choice but to agree, as things were going too well and there weren't enough cooks available.
Qin Huairu took the lunchbox from Sha Zhu's hand, and as she did so, her right hand inadvertently brushed against Sha Zhu's hand.
"Hehe, hehe," Sha Zhu felt his Sister Qin's hand; it was so smooth and soft. He chuckled foolishly at the door.
Inside the house, Jia Zhangshi was furious. The adulterous couple immediately shouted at the door, "Silly Zhu, it's so late, why don't you hurry home? If someone sees us, we're all widows and orphans, and we won't be able to explain ourselves." They wanted to come and eat at their house? Eat your sister! This is the Jia family home, and I'm not dead yet!
Seeing this, Qin Huairu could only feign a pitiful look: "Zhuzi, I'm sorry, I didn't think it through. It's really so late, it's not appropriate for you to come to our house, or..."
"It's okay, Sister Qin, I've finished eating," Sha Zhu deliberately patted his stomach to indicate that he was full, then exchanged a few pleasantries with Qin Huairu before turning to go home.
After Sha Zhu left, Qin Huairu closed the door, placed the lunchbox on the table, and prepared to open it to see what delicious food Sha Zhu had brought back.
Banggeng, Xiaodang, and Huaihua were overjoyed. They hadn't eaten meat for several days, and now they could eat it again. They stared intently at the lunchbox in Qin Huairu's hand, swallowing their saliva.
But when Qin Huairu opened the lunchbox, the whole family was stunned. The first box contained stir-fried cabbage. The cabbage looked like it hadn't been seasoned at all; it was just plain stir-fried.
Upon seeing this, Jia Zhangshi immediately retorted sarcastically, "Silly Zhu, who are you looking down on?"
Qin Huairu's face turned somewhat unpleasant. She picked up her chopsticks and took a bite. "Pah!" she exclaimed. "It's just stir-fried cabbage. There's no seasoning, not even salt!" she thought. "That's unfair to Third Aunt. Third Uncle was in a rush, and the dish isn't even ready yet. Besides, I did add salt, just not much."
Qin Huairu calmed herself down and said, "Mom, there might be a mistake. There are still two boxes left."
