Chapter 12 Are you sure you don't want to take the little wolf with you?

They were three fierce-looking orcs, dressed in animal skin skirts similar to their own, their eyes fixed on Yuanyuan in Bao Jiu's arms.

"Leave the little female here, and we won't kill you!"

The lead orc grinned maliciously, revealing his grime-covered teeth.

Huya brandished his bone knife, blocking Bao Jiu and Yuanyuan's path, and shouted angrily, "Don't even think about it!"

Leopard protected Yuanyuan as they retreated, his eyes fixed on the other two half-orcs who tried to flank them, ready to take Yuanyuan away at any moment.

The wolf cub in the wicker basket became restless, its paws gripping the edge of the basket, wanting to jump down but too afraid to.

Little White ran to Leopard Jiu's feet, its long ears standing straight up, and its fur slightly bristling.

They began to attack, and the orc was quickly injured and forced to retreat.

Just as Leopard was about to turn and run, the orc who had initially been driven back by Tiger suddenly turned towards them, waving his claws and pouncing at them.

The little wolf suddenly jumped out of the wicker basket, accidentally tearing its wound and howling in pain. Although Little White seemed very scared, it didn't run around but followed Leopard Jiu's figure with a clear goal.

"Uncle Huya, be careful!" Yuanyuan shouted anxiously as the sharp claws were about to grab Huya's back.

Upon hearing the sound, Huya immediately turned around and slashed his bone knife hard into the orc's chest. The orc screamed and staggered back two steps.

His eyes then grew even fiercer, and his attacks became even more ruthless.

Another one rushed over and attacked Huya together, and Huya gradually became unable to resist.

Just then, a gray figure burst out of the woods.

"Awooo~"

It was a robust gray wolf!

The gray wolf rushed out and pounced on the orc, biting his arm and causing him to scream in pain.

The little wolf, huddled in the corner, saw the big gray wolf, its eyes lit up, and it opened its mouth to bark but only let out a pitiful whimper.

The gray wolf shook off the orc's arm, bared its teeth and growled at the three orcs, its eyes filled with ferocity.

Huya glanced at the sky, then at the orc who was rendered immobile by the attack, and frowned as he spoke:

"They can't be left here." If the herds of wild animals find out that their tribe has cubs, they will do anything to snatch them.

Leopard nodded and led Yuanyuan away first, while the big wolf followed behind with the wolf cub in its mouth, only stopping when they entered the tribe's territory.

Yuanyuan ran over to check the wolf cub's wounds; thankfully, the wounds hadn't reopened.

"Little wolf, have a good talk with your mother. We'll be going back when Uncle Tiger comes back."

The little wolf tilted its head back and rubbed its wet nose against its mother.

The gray wolf lowered its head and licked the cub's fur until the cub was no longer afraid, then it turned to look at Yuanyuan.

He called out to her several times.

Are you sure you don't want to take the wolf cub with you?

She had previously said she would take them home with her because she thought she would never see the big wolf again. Now that she has seen them, Yuanyuan thinks she is going to take the little wolf away.
