Lu He's eyes flickered slightly, then she continued sleeping.

She could hear what Xu Feiming was saying, but she was too tired to respond.

Seeing this, Xu Feiming tucked the blanket in and left.

Lu He was still asleep when Xu Feiming came to deliver lunch at noon.

"Xiao He, get up and eat." Xu Feiming said with such regret, and Lu He opened her eyes.

She woke up once during the night, but her body was so tired that she felt like it was falling apart, so she closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

She looked at Xu Feiming with a mournful expression.

Xu Feiming didn't dare to argue and echoed, "Xiao He, I was wrong, I was really wrong. I'll listen to you from now on. Don't be angry. Eat your fill before you get angry, okay?"

She then went to get clothes for Lu He and told him to put them on.

Feeling sticky all over, Lu He glared angrily at Xu Feiming and said, "I want to take a shower. Will you take me to the public bathhouse?"

“You can wash here. I’ll go get you some hot water. The public bathhouse is too far. I’ll go there tonight, okay?” Xu Feiming said again.

Lu He had no choice but to agree.

"Then I'll go prepare some hot water for you." Xu Feiming immediately took the water bucket from the room to prepare hot water.

Lu He tried to sit up, but her whole body ached terribly, so she silently lay back down, cursing inwardly, "What a jerk."
