Hearing the commotion, Shen Qiaoyue and the others came over.

"Xiangxiang, are you alright?" Shen Qiaoyue squatted down, helped Xiangxiang up, and brushed all the dust off her clothes.

"Little sister, are you alright?" Da Nian heard the commotion and quickly ran out to ask what was wrong.

"It hurts!" Xiangxiang looked down at her palm, which was already bleeding, and tears welled up in her eyes from the pain.

"It hurts!"

Shen Qiaoyue frowned upon seeing this, looking at Xiangxiang with heartache.

"What's wrong? What happened?" Liu Xinlan followed her in and asked worriedly when she saw her daughter crying.

"Mommy, it hurts~" Xiangxiang cried even louder when she saw her mother and showed her her hand.

"Quick, there's a first-aid kit at home. Disinfect and clean the wound." Shen Qiaoyue quickly got up to find the first-aid kit.

"You fell?" Liu Xinlan asked Xiangxiang with concern, squatting down to look at her hands. Her palms were covered in large scrapes. "Besides here, are there any other places?"

"That's it, right here! This door ambushed me, how awful!" Xiangxiang glanced at the threshold, very angry, and started crying again.

Liu Xinlan picked up Xiangxiang and carried her into the living room to treat her wound.

"Da Nian, quickly bring your sister over here. Help your aunt comfort her; she's crying so hard!"

Liu Xinlan felt sad when she heard her daughter's voice.

Xu Qianli and Shen Yuanyi, who were chatting outside, heard Xiangxiang crying and came in worriedly.

"My little sister fell down!" Da Nian said, looking at Shen Yuanyi.

"When she came in, she didn't notice the threshold and tripped, landing on her hands first," Shen Qiaoyue explained. Then, she stopped crying and pointed angrily at the threshold, saying, "No, it ambushed me!"

Shen Yuanyi looked up at Xiangxiang's angry expression and couldn't help but find it amusing that she would say such a thing.

"Yes, yes, it attacked you. Grandpa will stomp on it a few times to avenge you later." Shen Yuanyi picked up Liu Xinlan after she finished bandaging her wound.

"Don't cry, my dear. Grandpa will avenge you." Shen Yuanyi felt extremely distressed; the sound of his granddaughter crying was heartbreaking to hear.

Xu Qianli watched as Xiangxiang was comforted by the old man, but he didn't say anything. He walked up to Liu Xinlan and asked, "Are you alright?"

"It's nothing, just a cut on my palm. I had it checked out, and there's nothing wrong. I'll check it again when I get home tonight," Liu Xinlan said to Xu Qianli.

“I could hear crying from next door. Who’s bullying our Xiangxiang?” Li Xiaoxiao, who was helping with the cooking, came over from next door when she heard Xiangxiang crying.

"Grandma, I've been bullied! It ambushed me!" Xiangxiang, who had stopped crying, started crying loudly again after hearing her grandmother's voice. She pointed to the door and said, looking both aggrieved and angry.

Da Nian and Xiao Nian comforted each other from the side.

"Who attacked you?" Li Xiaoxiao was still unaware of the situation.

When Shen Yuanyi held Xiangxiang in his arms, he stroked Xiangxiang's head and said, "Xiangxiang, Grandpa is holding you. Don't cry. Xiangxiang is the strongest."

"Grandpa, I want to drink some water," Xiangxiang said to Shen Yuanyi, tears still glistening in her eyes.

"Sister, I'll go get you some water." Seeing this, Danian turned around and went inside to pour water for his sister.

"Da Nian, let me do it. You're still laughing. Don't pour water, or you'll get scalded by the hot water." Li Xiaoxiao followed Da Nian's steps and quickly stopped him.

Shen Yuanyi carried Xiangxiang into the living room and sat down.

"Yuanyuan, cousins, come here and play with Xiangxiang for a while, and comfort her." Shen Qiaoyue brought her sister's two children, Pinpin and Yuyu, to Xiangxiang's side and patted her head.

"Don't cry. I'm telling you, we'll have shrimp to eat today. I'll peel the shrimp for you later. I'll only play with you." Xiao Nian hugged Xiang Xiang and whispered comforting words in Xiang Xiang's ear.

She looked dejected, but when her sister comforted her like that, she immediately leaned against her sister's chest, looking aggrieved.

Liu Xinlan and Shen Qiaoyue exchanged a glance, feeling both heartache and helplessness.

"Why are so many children surrounding Xiangxiang? I heard she was bullied?" Jiang Mingjing came back from outside and saw Xiangxiang looking unhappy. "Look, what's this?" He took out a bowl from behind him and handed it to Xiangxiang.

"Chicken leg!" Just thinking about seeing a chicken leg makes him instantly happy.
