When it comes to secret love, if not spoken out, bitterness will spread in your own heart, punishing the coward day and night.

Autumn is a season full of wonder...

Chapter Twenty-Five

Chapter Twenty-Five

Summer rains are always torrential and sudden.

Even through the thick glass, you could hear the pattering rain. Water droplets slid down the frosted glass in thin streams, soon turning into a magnificent curtain of water.

Chanting Airport.

In the bustling room, Xing Bei stayed by Chi Qingtang's side, not knowing when they would meet again.

Chi Qingtang smiled and hugged her: "Mingzhu, you must take good care of yourself while I'm not around."

Xing Bei gently pinched her cheek, her tone filled with affection: "Shouldn't I be the one saying this to you? Things are different abroad than in China. If you don't have enough money, just tell me."

Chi Qingtang patted her chest proudly: "You underestimate my family's wealth. Do you really think I've been working for nothing all these years?"

Xing Bei: "Don't I know you?"

Chi Qingtang sighed softly: "Don't worry, I will definitely not be polite to you."

Standing on the other side, Tong Wulin added in a cheeky manner, "If you need anything, you can tell me. Although I won't marry you, I still acknowledge you as a friend."

Chi Qingtang rolled her eyes speechlessly: "You're making yourself sound like Sun Wukong."

Tong Wulin was instantly displeased: "Hey, you actually look down on me, young master."

The announcement from the broadcasting station announced that registration was imminent. Chi Qingtang looked at him and said, "Don't worry, I won't hold back either."

"I'm leaving, don't worry about me."

Chi Qingtang turned around, dragging her suitcase, her steps light and firm, her slender arms waving in the air a few times.

Xing Bei and Tong Wulin watched her retreating figure silently, their eyes filled with reluctance.

Chi Qingtang walked to the security checkpoint, handed her passport to the staff, and then looked back at them intently.

For a moment, her gaze seemed to freeze time, and then she disappeared at the end of the passage.

As the plane took off, Chi Qingtang looked out the window at the buildings that were gradually shrinking. After the plane soared into the clouds and flew smoothly, Chi Qingtang slowly closed her eyes.

Goodbye, Lin Zhuochi.

Outside the glass, the rain gradually subsided, and the dark clouds slowly dispersed, revealing the original azure blue color.

After Xing Bei and Tong Wulin exited the airport together, a raindrop landed on Xing Bei's face, feeling cool and refreshing.

She touched her face, a faint bitter smile playing on her lips.

Tong Wulin joked, "What, you're reluctant to part with it?"

Xing Bei withdrew her hand and looked up in the direction Chi Qingtang had left: "Aren't you reluctant to part with her either?"

The two looked at each other and smiled, neither of them saying anything more.

That's life. Every day brings different partings and reunions, just like this heavy rain—it comes quickly and goes quickly.

As she was about to leave, Xing Bei noticed Lin Zhuochi rushing over out of the corner of her eye, and stopped again.

Lin Zhuochi stopped, catching his breath, and asked, "Where is Chi Qingtang?"

Xing Bei pointed to the sky: "You're late."

Lin Zhuochi swayed and almost lost his balance. Xing Bei grabbed him and gestured for Tong Wulin to help him to a chair on the side.

She couldn't do anything about the outcome; even though she sent Lin Zhuochi a message on the way, he was still late.

Perhaps this is destiny.

If we don't say goodbye properly, then there's always a chance to meet again.

Lin Zhuochi suddenly grabbed her arm and asked anxiously, "Tangtang, did Tangtang leave me a message?"

He hadn't mentioned it, and Xing Bei had almost forgotten about it: "Yes, she said—"

Lin Zhuochi, that's enough for now. Don't wait until we meet again and you're still this helpless, or I'll never speak to you again for the rest of my life.

In an instant, Lin Zhuochi was completely defeated, and Xing Bei took out a pack of tissues from her bag and handed it to him.

She patted Lin Zhuochi on the shoulder and comforted him, "Try to think more positively. She's just doing what she's supposed to do, and you shouldn't be the biggest obstacle on her path."

Xing Bei paused for a moment: "You're the same. Right now, you can't even defy your own father, let alone give Qing Tang a good future."

Tong Wulin also smiled and came over: "I also have a piece of advice for you. I am Qingtang's childhood betrothed. If you are not capable, I can marry Qingtang."

Ji Youli wiped away his tears and chuckled softly, "You won't have that chance."

After Lin Zhuochi left, Tong Wulin leaned closer to Xing Bei and said, "Senior, I remember Sister Qingtang didn't say the second half of her sentence, did she?"

Xing Bei glanced at him: "Life is about having a goal."

After leaving the airport, Xing Bei spent the afternoon at the Cloud Cafe.

It's 10 PM.

Xing Bei had just finished drawing the line art when Lu Runxu came out of the bathroom. His wet hair was combed back, and his dark bathrobe was slightly open, revealing his abdominal muscles. A few glistening water droplets slid down his muscles.

Tsk tsk tsk.

That tiny waist, that perfect inverted triangle figure, is totally her type.

Lu Runxu gently pulled his clothes closer and teased, "Mrs. Lu, you're practically drooling."

Xing Bei curled her lips, walked up to him, and directly reached out her hand: "You're mine, is there anything I can't see?"

Lu Runxu lowered his eyes and grabbed her mischievous little hands: "As Mrs. Lu, of course you can watch."

The next second.

Xing Bei was caught off guard and fell onto the soft bed. She looked at the person in front of her with a look of horror.

"What are you doing?"

"Mrs. Lu, the moonlight is beautiful tonight."

Xing Bei didn't immediately understand why his thoughts had suddenly jumped to the scenery outside the window: "So?"

Looking at the stunning scenery before him, Lu Runxu's amorous fox-like eyes were filled with intense desire: "So, we should do something interesting."

The moonlight had somehow slipped into the thick clouds outside the window, and as the night deepened, the gentle summer breeze drowned out the sound of the beauty weeping inside.

"Mrs. Lu, isn't the moonlight beautiful?"

"Get out of here."

Vertical day.

When Xing Bei woke up, there was no one beside her.

She stretched on the bed, sat up and rubbed her eyes. Recalling the moonlight last night, Xing Bei's face unconsciously turned red.

Aunt Huang was busy preparing breakfast in the kitchen, while Xing Bei, holding onto the glass handrail, slowly walked towards the living room.

Xing Bei only saw the message Lu Runxu left for her while she was having breakfast. No wonder he was so restless last night, it turns out he was going on a business trip.

In the days after Lu Runxu left, Xing Bei was like a bird that had been freed from its cage.

Just as she excitedly opened the refrigerator, she saw that the place that used to be full of ice cream was now empty, not a single piece left.

A thief broke into her house!

No, it must be Lu Runxu who hid it.

Xing Bei took out her phone, ready to accuse the man who cruelly wouldn't let her eat ice cream.

—Lu Runxu, where did you hide my precious treasure?

It took a long time for the other party to reply.

—Mrs. Lu, have you forgotten who was in so much pain that they were rolling around in bed last time?

—I don't care, give me back my baby.

—Mrs. Lu, your period is about to start, please calm down first.

—I don't want to.

Xing Bei glanced furtively at Aunt Huang, who was simmering soup in the kitchen, and was about to sneak out when another message popped up on her phone.

—Don't even think about sneaking out; I'll have Aunt Huang keep an eye on you.

As if sensing her presence, Aunt Huang in the kitchen looked at her and said, "Where are you going, Madam? I'll go with you."

Standing less than a meter away from the doorway, Xing Bei smiled awkwardly: "I'm not going anywhere, I'll just move around inside."

Aunt Huang looked at her and shook her head helplessly.

How could she be content with just that? Taking advantage of Aunt Huang going upstairs to clean, she quietly slipped out in the afternoon.

At the Cloud Cafe, she thought for a moment and then only ordered an iced Americano.

"Sister Beibei!"

A clear and loud shout rang out, and Xing Bei subconsciously raised her head, her gaze falling in the direction from which the sound came.

Two people were standing not far away, one of whom was Lin Qiuwan. She smiled, waved to Xing Bei, and then walked over quickly.

Beside Lin Qiuwan was a girl with big, bright eyes like stars. Her delicate features and sweet smile made her look like a lovely girl.

Xing Bei's gaze fell on the two people's intertwined hands. Thinking of what Chi Qingtang had told her before, a smile appeared in her eyes.

Lin Qiuwan's appearance is similar to hers, but Lin Qiuwan's features are not as three-dimensional. She is more gentle and even has a hint of aloofness. The silver earring on her left ear adds a touch of unruliness to her.

"Sister Beibei, this is mine..." Lin Qiuwan was thinking about how to introduce it without scaring her.

Xing Bei knew her hesitation and smiled at her, "Your girlfriend is so cute, what's so hard about admitting it?"

Lin Qiuwan was taken aback: "I'm just afraid you'll think homosexuality is disgusting."

Xing Bei looked at the somewhat shy girl beside her: "Girls' love is so beautiful, how could she possibly find it disgusting?"

Lin Qiuwan felt a warmth in her heart instantly: "Sister Beibei, I've realized I like you even more now."

Xing Bei's smile froze instantly; Lin Qiuwan had just said that he liked her more.

In an instant, her memory was pulled back to the night they first met. No wonder Lin Qiuwan insisted on kissing her that night.

It turns out he had been plotting against her all along.

In that instant, she suddenly felt a little dangerous.

She coughed lightly: "Um, be careful your girlfriend gets jealous."

Lin Qiuwan laughed even more heartily: "Sister Beibei, I only have the kind of affection I have for you as a sister. We're both the same type."

Number clash? What does that mean?

But it's good that she doesn't have those feelings for him.

After dinner, Xing Bei curled up on the sofa and vaguely felt a pain in her stomach. A bad feeling lingered in her heart.

She ran to the bathroom and, as she expected, her period had come early. She changed her clothes again, clutched her stomach, and quickly lay down on the bed.

Before long, her forehead was covered in a fine layer of sweat, and she curled up in bed, hugging the blanket.

I should have listened to Lu Runxu and not drunk anything cold; now I'm in excruciating pain.

After an unknown amount of time, Xing Bei fainted from the pain.

In the early hours of the morning, Lu Runxu returned home. Afraid of disturbing Xing Bei's sleep, he didn't turn on the light. He stood by the door, looking at the sleeping person on the bed, his eyes filled with an irrepressible spring-like charm.

Lu Runxu tiptoed to the bedside, carefully reached out, and gently pulled the thick quilt down a little.

The cool moonlight outside the window, like a thin veil, gently spilled into the room through the thin gauze. Only with this dim light could Lu Runxu make out the face of the person lying on the bed.

Xing Bei's brows were tightly furrowed, and her originally fair face was now completely bloodless, appearing extremely pale, and her body was trembling.

Lu Runxu frowned slightly, quickly took out his phone from his pocket, and dialed the number of his family doctor.

While the family doctor was on his way, Lu Runxu sat down and gently massaged the stomach of the person on the bed.

She's really not someone I can trust. I wish I could carry her around in my pocket anytime.

When the family doctor arrived, he was taken aback to see Lu Runxu nervously rubbing the stomach of the weak-looking person on the bed.

"Dr. Xu, could you please take a look at my wife?"

Dr. Xu could tell what was wrong just by taking her pulse. She looked at him seriously and said, "She has congenital dysmenorrhea. She cannot drink anything cold or raw during this period, and she cannot get chilled."

Because she was asleep and unable to take her medication, Dr. Xu administered an IV drip directly to her.

Cheng Zong, who was standing at the door, teased him, "Brother Xu, don't just focus on your work all day, you should also take good care of your girlfriend."

Lu Runxu frowned as he looked at him: "Not girlfriend, wife."

Cheng Zongye: "...You and Mu Rong are birds of a feather."

He rested his hand on Lu Runxu's shoulder: "Last time, Mu Rong's wife was just feeling a bit nauseous from eating too much, but she went to great lengths in the middle of the night to invite Professor Jiang to her home."

When Cheng Zong got closer, he could see the person lying on the bed clearly. A hint of surprise flashed in his eyes, and he muttered to himself.

"This little girl looks so familiar."

Lu Runxu ignored him. Perhaps the medicine was taking effect, because his tightly furrowed brows slowly relaxed. He sat on the edge of the bed and continued to massage her stomach.

In the early morning, sunlight streamed through the gauze window, and Xing Bei groggily woke up from her sleep.

Just as she was about to get up, a force around her waist pulled her back down.

"Mingzhu, it's still early, sleep a little longer."

He unconsciously rubbed her stomach, and Xing Bei glanced at the person who was still asleep. A warm feeling welled up in her heart, and she smiled and snuggled closer to him.
