Chu Wuyang rubbed her temples, her eyes still slightly dazed as she looked around.
She gradually realized that the environment she was in was not anywhere she was familiar with.
The surrounding decor was elegant and luxurious, with carved wooden furniture, a vintage fireplace, and curtains.
Everything exudes a strong sense of ancient castle charm.
She sat up gently, feeling that her body was still somewhat weak.
Memories slowly returned.
Jingmin was safely strapped onto the helicopter.
Then she watched the helicopter fly away, her tense nerves relaxed, and then everything went black...
She got up, pushed open the door, and walked out of the bedroom.
The gaze followed the direction of the gaze to the lobby downstairs.
Several people were sitting around a long table, talking in hushed tones.
She squinted and observed carefully.
Those people were all white, except for Jin Zhuoer and Zhou Heng.
The others were all unfamiliar Swiss locals, presumably the officials brought by Councilor Feng.
Chu Wuyang frowned slightly, trying to lean closer to listen.
Scattered words began to gather in her ears, and she only heard a few clear phrases:
"Successfully exited the country...arranged in Germany...undergoing emergency treatment..."
A thought flashed through her mind, and she pieced together a piece of information—Jing Min was in Germany!
As long as it wasn't in Switzerland, she felt relieved.
But the mention of "undergoing emergency treatment" made her heart sink again.
Is Jingmin still in imminent danger?
She leaned forward slightly, trying to get as close to the railing as possible, hoping to hear more clearly.
But before she could continue probing,
The group of people suddenly stood up, indicating that the conversation was over.
Everyone's expression was somewhat somber, and they didn't seem very optimistic.
Watching them leave one by one, their steps hurried,
Chu Wuyang felt relieved.
That means their situation isn't good, right?
Just as she was about to turn around and sneak back to her room, she suddenly heard a gentle voice beside her.
"Miss, you're awake?"
She was slightly startled.
Looking up, she saw a maid standing in the doorway, looking at her with gentle eyes.
At the same time, Zhou Heng also looked up from the hall.
His brows furrowed, his gaze fixed on her, a flicker of surprise in his eyes.
"You're awake?"
Chu Wuyang ignored him and simply turned slightly to leave.
Zhou Heng's expression changed slightly, and his brows furrowed slightly.
He quickly stood up and walked a few steps to the stairwell.
They blocked her way.
Are you feeling unwell anywhere?
His voice was gentle and concerned.
Chu Wuyang stopped in her tracks and looked at him coldly.
"Get out of the way!"
Zhou Heng's face showed a troubled expression, and he hesitated before speaking.
"Yangyang..."
Chu Wuyang's expression flashed with disgust upon hearing this, and he coldly rebuked her.
"Shut up! Don't call me that!"
A hurt expression flashed across Zhou Heng's face for a moment.
A moment of silence,
He quickly composed himself, regaining his calm and composed demeanor.
"You cannot leave now."
Chu Wuyang's gaze locked onto him, her cold eyes narrowing slightly with a hint of wariness, as she coldly retorted,
"You want to detain me?"
"no."
Zhou Heng denied it with a somewhat flustered tone.
He kept his eyes on her and explained in a deep voice.
"It's not safe here. If you go out now, you might encounter danger."
"Trust me, I will keep you safe."
Chu Wuyang snorted coldly, crossed her arms, and looked disdainful.
"Hmph! I believe you?"
Her tone was undisguisedly sarcastic.
"Young Master Zhou, don't get too caught up in the role."
"To tell you the truth,"
A cold glint flashed in her eyes.
"I was just stalling for time when I cooperated with you in that little scene."
Her voice was clear and cold, with a hint of sharpness.
"I find it disgusting to even look at someone as despicable and shameless as you!"
Zhou Heng was stunned for a moment.
It seemed that no one had expected her to express her disgust so bluntly.
After a moment of silence,
He looked away, his tone indifferent, as if he didn't care at all, and said:
"It's okay. I know it's hard for you to accept me right now, but there's plenty of time."
Upon hearing this, Chu Wuyang's lips curled into a slightly sarcastic smile.
"Do you have the life to last a long time?"
Zhou Heng chuckled softly, but a hint of self-mockery lingered in his eyes.
"That uninhibited and confident tone, you must have heard something just now, right?"
He turned around and continued calmly:
"Yes, that's right, Jingmin has been safely transferred to Germany, but..."
He paused, his gaze remaining fixed on the scene outside the window.
"We have noticed that many doctors have indeed rushed over from all over the country, but whether they can make it through the night is still unknown."
How can you be so sure I have no future?
"Jingmin might not even survive tonight!"
After saying these words, he didn't look at her again.
She turned and walked to the sofa, sitting down and leaning back on the soft cushions.
His expression seemed to be restraining him from relaxing as much as possible.
Upon hearing this, Chu Wuyang's heart tightened!
The image of Jingmin being shot flashed through my mind—three shots!
One of the shots hit him squarely in the chest, too close to his heart.
How could I not worry?
Her hands clenched unconsciously, and a sense of panic gradually rose in her eyes.
She felt as if she had been stabbed by something; her whole body was ice-cold, and a thin layer of sweat appeared on her forehead.
Immediately afterwards, she stood up abruptly, intending to rush out the door.
