In her previous life, Feng Mingshu was a young lady raised in a wealthy family. She was sweet, charming, and gentle, secretly coveted by many who regarded her as their "white moonlight." Un...
As soon as the orange-red juice entered her mouth, Feng Mingshu regretted it, but it would be impolite to spit it out, so she could only force it down. Instantly, it felt like a line of fire entered her stomach and quickly spread throughout her body, making her feel like her whole body was on fire.
She immediately poured water, but drinking a large glass of water did not relieve her dizziness, and she quickly supported her chin with her hand.
"Zhuzhu, this is 53-proof liquor, not the fruit wine you usually drink. Don't try it again next time," Yu Jingqiu gently warned, taking away the half-finished glass of liquor.
Feng Mingshu hugged her arm and said coquettishly, "Mom, I was wrong. I will never drink recklessly again. Hmm, I feel a little dizzy. I might be drunk. I want to go back to my room to rest."
Yu Jingqiu looked helplessly at her daughter's radiant appearance and instructed her son-in-law, who had been waiting for her, "Xiao Zhou, take Zhuzhu upstairs."
“No need, I can do it myself.” Feng Mingshu shook her head and refused, but she stumbled as soon as she stood up, and then her legs were dangling in the air as she was picked up.
"Hold on to my neck, don't fall."
A handsome face suddenly approached, smiling as he gave her some instructions.
Perhaps due to the alcohol, Feng Mingshu's mind was a little slow. She stared at the face in front of her for a while, and finding it not unpleasant, she nodded and raised her hands to wrap around his neck.
Zhou Jinshan's breath hitched, then he suppressed it and turned to say, "Mom, Uncle Li, you eat first, I'll come down in a bit."
Li Yanzhong nodded, and Yu Jingqiu added casually, "Zhuzhu's bedroom has a bathroom with a new set of toiletries, which is prepared for you."
"Thank you, Mom."
"Don't be shy, go ahead."
Zhou Jinshan was indeed quick. With his long legs, he took two or three steps at a time and quickly reached the second floor. He went to the bedroom on the east side and pushed open the door.
The bedroom, so different from the simple military academy dormitory, made Zhou Jinshan pause for a moment. He then walked to the yellow pear wood canopy bed and placed the person in his arms on it.
But the drunk girl still had her arms around his neck, pulling him so that he was almost pressed against her undulating curves.
At the critical moment, he braced himself on the bed with both hands, the veins on his arms bulging, his shirt sleeves taut, showing strength and restraint.
"Mingshu, are you asleep?" He looked down at his wife, who was as beautiful as a begonia, and asked in a low, husky voice, his gaze falling on her thick eyelashes that trembled gently with her breath.
Feng Mingshu felt as if she had fallen into a warm cloud, swaying gently and comfortably. She closed her eyes, wanting to hug the cloud and fall asleep completely.
But suddenly someone called her name in her ear, and hot breath sprayed on her face, making it itchy. She had no choice but to break free from her drowsiness and open her eyes.
What came into view was a face with sharp features. It was too close, so close that if the other person lowered his head slightly, he could bite her. Just like the dream from half a month ago, she exclaimed and pushed him away: "You stinky tiger, get away."
Caught off guard, Zhou Jinshan was pushed and sat down on the edge of the bed, while his drunken wife was rolling up in the blanket and crawling to the other side of the bed.
Her adorable and clumsy appearance stirred a surge of heat within him. Zhou Jinshan reached out and grabbed a corner of the blanket, pulling her and the blanket together, pressing her down and asking, "Did you see clearly? Am I a tiger or who?"
Feng Mingshu had trapped herself in a cocoon. She was wrapped tightly in the blanket, with a man breathing hot air on her. Ironically, this predicament made her drowsy mind clear a little. She recognized the man on her and licked her lips. She said aggrievedly, "Zhou Jinshan, I'm hot and thirsty. I want to drink water."
Her tiny tongue licked her cherry-red lips, and her eyes, brimming with spring water, looked at him so pitifully. Zhou Jinshan's entire body tensed, and all the heat surged to his lower abdomen. He could no longer resist and lowered his head—
"Ouch, that hurts!"
Ignoring her delicate voice, Zhou Jinshan left a tooth mark on his wife's slender and beautiful earlobe before standing up and gritting his teeth as he said to her, "I just wanted you to experience my pain."
But he couldn't bring himself to bite, so he only used a little force, less than one percent of the pain he felt. The remaining teeth marks quickly disappeared, leaving only a little moisture on his earlobe.
The pampered girl on the bed felt extremely wronged. She threw off the covers, covered her earlobes, and glared at him with red eyes: "You're so annoying, get out!"
"Do you want to drink some water?" Zhou Jinshan asked, standing by the bed.
The red-eyed rabbit girl on the bed hesitated for a moment before nodding, "Yes."
"Wait."
"Okay." The rabbit girl hugged her blanket, nodded obediently, and watched him leave the room with eager eyes, then waited anxiously for him.
Zhou Jinshan took a few moments to catch his breath outside the bedroom door before going downstairs to the kitchen to pour water.
"Xiao Zhou, is Zhuzhu thirsty? Put some honey in to help with the hangover."
Yu Jingqiu walked into the kitchen, opened the cupboard, and took out a jar of honey.
Zhou Jinshan quickly turned around and thanked her, "Thank you, Mom."
Yu Jingqiu chuckled: "I should thank you for being so considerate of Zhuzhu's capriciousness."
"Mom, you're too kind. Zhuzhu has a very good personality," Zhou Jinshan said hurriedly. He then took the honey from his mother-in-law, scooped a spoonful into a water glass, and stirred it gently until the honey and water were well mixed.
Yu Jingqiu smiled as she watched his meticulous movements: "If you think it's good, then go ahead."
Zhou Jinshan nodded, took a step with the water in his hand, then stopped and took the thermos with him.
Li Yanzhong walked to Yu Jingqiu's side, and together they watched Zhou Jinshan's figure, carrying a thermos, disappear downstairs. He then asked, "Comrade Yu, are you relieved now?"
Yu Jingqiu gave a soft "hmm" and turned to Li Yanzhong, asking, "Did you bring your household registration book and other documents?"
Li Yanzhong was stunned.
“If everything is ready, we’ll go to the Civil Affairs Bureau at nine o’clock tomorrow morning,” Yu Jingqiu said calmly.
Li Yanzhong's breathing suddenly tightened, and he stared intently at her: "No regrets?"
Yu Jingqiu chuckled: "I never let myself have any regrets."
Even her marriage to Feng Qiyuan was something she never regretted, because without that marriage, she wouldn't have had her three beloved children.
Upstairs, the bedroom on the east side.
Feng Mingshu drank most of a cup of honey water from Zhou Jinshan's hand before she was satisfied. She raised her misty almond-shaped eyes and said, "It's sweet."
Zhou Jinshan tilted his head back and poured the rest of the honey water into his mouth, his gaze fixed on her moist red lips: "Yes, it's sweet."
Feng Mingshu suddenly felt threatened and covered his mouth with his hand, saying, "You didn't brush your teeth or rinse your mouth."
Zhou Jinshan suddenly laughed and stared at her, asking, "Then I'll go brush my teeth and rinse my mouth. Will you let me kiss you?"
Honey water can help with hangovers, but it's clearly not enough. Feng Mingshu blinked, and the scene from the military academy dormitory that afternoon flashed through her mind. Her pretty nose wrinkled, and she shook her head, saying, "No, kissing isn't fun."
Zhou Jinshan jumped up, grinding his teeth as he said to the person on the bed, "Feng Mingshu, are you really going to kill me?"
