Chapter 34 Why are you so obedient?

Jiang Yiyu looked around, his smile growing stiffer. "Isn't it great to rent out the entire theater? It's an immersive experience." He pointed at Song Shengsheng's phone screen and said, "Dim the lights a bit so it doesn't affect the viewing experience."

"Okay." Song Shengsheng dimmed the screen.

All the lights in the theater went out, and the surroundings fell into darkness. For the first time, Jiang Yiyu wished that the advertisements that played in a loop before the movie started could last longer.

Song Shengsheng watched him holding Jiang Xiaoguai's hand tighter and tighter. He was obviously extremely nervous, but he still forced himself to remain calm and smiled at her, saying that there was nothing to be afraid of in this kind of movie.

Song Shengsheng didn't expose him, but just said that she was scared and wanted to hold his hand.

Jiang Yiyu held Song Shengsheng's hand tightly in his palm and smiled at her soothingly.

The advertisement ended, and after the opening credits were played, the screen went dark, and a slow and eerie background music sounded, interspersed with faint children's songs and the chirping of insects and birds.

The music faded and the screen emitted a faint red light. Before Jiang Yiyu could react, the woman in the red wedding dress on the movie poster suddenly appeared, her claws and fangs bared as if she wanted to crawl out of the screen.

Song Shengsheng didn't feel anything about this. After all, as an absolute atheist and a loyal fan of horror movies, she had seen countless movies. In her opinion, the visual impact of the opening of this movie was quite ordinary. Apart from scaring the audience by surprise, there was nothing else new.

But Jiang Yi Yu held her hand tightly, and even a thin layer of sweat appeared on his palm. When Song Shengsheng turned around, she saw that he was blocking his eyes with Jiang Xiaoguai.

Song Shengsheng smiled and pretended not to see anything.

This movie was just as she expected, the main focus was to scare people. As for the plot, it was not worth pondering at all. However, the special effects and sound effects were really good, and the atmosphere was also well created. But the middle part was not very coherent, either due to editing problems or script problems. Song Shengsheng could not bear to watch it and even felt a little sleepy.

Fortunately, Jiang Yiyu couldn't control himself, and his occasional screams of fear kept her awake, so she didn't fall asleep.

At the beginning, Jiang Yiyu was able to remain calm, but as the plot reached a climax, he could no longer hold it in. If it weren't for seeing Song Shengsheng sitting next to him without reacting, he would have had the urge to run away.

The scariest thing about horror movies is not the visual impact, but the association. Now, whenever he closed his eyes, all that flashed through his mind were the black holes of the female ghost's empty and bleeding eyes. He even felt a chill all over his body, and got goose bumps.

Finally, Jiang Yi Yu couldn't bear it anymore. He used Jiang Xiaoguai to cover his face, turned his head to face Song Shengsheng, and rested his forehead on her shoulder.

Song Shengsheng smiled and reached out to touch his head: "Don't be afraid, they are all fake."

"I'm not afraid, I'm afraid you'll be afraid."

"Oh. I'm really scared now. Do you want to hold me and protect me?"

Jiang Yiyu looked up at her and nodded.

But it was more like Song Shengsheng hugging him than him. Jiang Yiyu couldn't help but whisper, "Are you really not afraid?"

"Scared? How could I not be? Look at how realistic the special effects are, and the blood flow, it must have consumed a lot of plasma. But to be honest, the heroine is very beautiful. Brother Yi Yu, do you know her?"

Jiang Yiyu shook his head: "It's impossible for us to meet in this lifetime."

He finally understood that Song Shengsheng was really brave!

After finally waiting until the end of the movie, the lights in the theater came on again and the subtitles began to roll. As an actor, Jiang Yiyu insisted on watching all the end credits.

But he never expected that this horror movie actually had an easter egg. The female ghost suddenly appeared again with her bloody mouth wide open, as if she was about to rush out of the screen.

This sudden scene scared not only Jiang Yiyu but also Song Shengsheng.

But seeing Jiang Yiyu, so big, completely throw himself into her arms, and even Jiang Xiaoguai was thrown to the ground in panic, the fear that Song Shengsheng had just been brewing disappeared immediately. She patted Jiang Yiyu on the back and coaxed him, "It's over, really, I'm not afraid anymore."

Jiang Yiyu hugged her neck and buried his face in her shoulder, his voice trembling: "My dear, I am such a coward."

"No, it's this movie that is really scary."

"Then why aren't you afraid?"

Song Shengsheng gently pushed him away and thought for a moment: "I heard from my brother that when I was a child, my mother took me to have my fortune told. The fortune teller said that I have no other characteristics except that I have a strong yang energy and am very courageous."

"It's bullshit right off the bat."

Song Shengsheng wiped the red corners of Jiang Yiyu's eyes and said, "It doesn't matter whether he's talking nonsense or not, as long as it's useful."

When the two came out of the cinema, it was almost two o'clock in the morning. There were very few cars on the street and it was quiet everywhere.

Song Shengsheng went to the convenience store and bought a bowl of oden and a few bottles of juice. When she came out with the bags, Jiang Yiyu was standing against the wall waiting for her. The wide brim of his hat covered most of his face, but the outline of his chin was still too handsome.

The cutest thing is that he was holding his Jiang Xiaoguai, and even helped Jiang Xiaoguai adjust his bow tie out of boredom, muttering softly, and no one knew what he was saying to the little bear. His cute behavior was in stark contrast to his appearance, and he was so well-behaved.

Song Shengsheng walked towards him. Jiang Yiyu raised his eyes to look at her, and raised the corners of his lips slightly: "My dear, can you please not leave me alone tonight? I'm scared."

"Okay." Song Shengsheng waved at him.
