Monster hunti...
Chapter 186 (Senior Brother Jiazi, are you still laughing?)
“I have always acted as I pleased, without any restrictions, so why do you ask me why? I am neither a Yan citizen nor a Qingyang citizen, and I care little about the conflicts between the six states. When I teach Yin and Yang, I only need to find someone who pleases me.” Wu Huaiwei squinted at the two people in front of her, a red ribbon slowly floating behind her. Her tone was unhurried. “If you want to be honest, I am now competing with Elder Chang for a disciple. Since it is a competition, I should use any means necessary.”
"go."
She pointed at Mei Liangyu, her expression leaving no room for refusal.
Mu Yong'an sighed inwardly. He couldn't argue with her or win a fight against her. Just as he was about to step forward, he saw the two people in front of him enter the trial's armored formation through the star map.
"We'll just have to wait," Mu Yong'an coughed. "What talent does this child possess that has caught your eye?"
"A superior physique, with the five elements mutually generating each other." Wu Huaiwei generously shared the news of her new disciple's talent with Mu Yong'an, "Wei Xizhen said it herself."
The words of the Legalist sages are certainly true.
Mu Yong'an was taken aback at first, then lowered his head and sneered, "With such talent, how could Nangong Ming not have noticed?"
“Perhaps it wasn’t that he was completely unaware, but rather that before entering the Taiyi realm, that girl’s ‘qi’ was in an undetectable state.” Wu Huaiwei looked in the direction where Yu Sui and the other person disappeared, her expression somewhat inscrutable. “A superior body with the five elements mutually generating each other can generate its own five elements’ qi in an endless stream. Yet, the famous Shura Eye couldn’t see her talent and called her a person of average skill.”
Mu Yong'an pondered for a moment, then frowned and said, "Her gas flow...wasn't detected?"
“If she is indeed a person of the Ping Shu school, then her aura flow is unremarkable and easily detected, and there is nothing interesting to see. Nangong Ming would not be mistaken about such a thing.”
Wu Huaiwei's voice was cold and detached, yet carried a hint of amusement. "But if her 'qi' is hidden, or suppressed or divided by something, then it's hard to say."
"Judging from the fact that she was able to cultivate and generate the Five Elements Light Core after entering Taiyi, it should be the latter. To be able to escape the observation of the famous Shura Eye, we still need to see whether it was intentional or passive. If this girl hid herself, then that would be interesting."
As she finished speaking, Wu Huaiwei's smile became more pronounced: "If Nangong Ming couldn't break through the barrier, he would have misjudged his own daughter. If she were a Saint, after spending so much time together, she might have discovered the clues much sooner."
Given Nangong Ming's cautious and suspicious nature, he had many people test Yu Sui's talent in his early years, but all of these thirteen-realm masters believed that the young princess of the royal family was a person of average skill.
Mu Yong'an pondered, "The farmyard soil doesn't seem to have such an effect."
Wu Huaiwei asked, "Do you really believe that the Breath of Earth is on her?"
Mu Yong'an said, "It's impossible that he's not here."
“The superior body of mutual generation of the five elements is what my Yin-Yang school calls it,” Wu Huaiwei added. “According to Taoism, the five internal organs generate the five Qi, one Qi generates Yin and Yang, and Yin and Yang transform into all things.”
"Do you know what kind of being she would be if her 'Qi' did not need to be drawn from the creations of heaven and earth, but instead was formed from her own Yin and Yang, and thus circulated repeatedly?"
Hearing Wu Huaiwei say this, Mu Yong'an frowned even more.
For Nangong Ming, the only useful pieces of information about his youngest daughter were the information about Ping Shu and Xi Rang.
Even after Yu Sui entered Taiyi and was taken in as a disciple by the Sage Chang Gen, Mu Yong'an was certain that the matter of taking in a disciple was definitely related to Nangong Ming.
Whether it was Nangong Ming's request or Chang Gen Saint's consideration because she was Nangong Ming's daughter, there was more or less a reason behind it.
If it was arranged by Nangong Ming, Mu Yong'an wouldn't be too surprised, but hearing what Wu Huaiwei said, it seems that even Nangong Ming hadn't discovered the amazing talent his daughter possessed.
This was something Mu Yong'an found hard to understand, and even somewhat unbelievable.
"A superior physique of the Yin-Yang school, with the five elements mutually generating each other, can also be said to be a person with innate full Qi in Taoism, with unlimited potential." Mu Yong'an coughed and said, "With such talent, there is almost no obstacle to cultivating the nine schools of arts."
"That's not necessarily true. Although she is exceptionally talented, she has only been cultivating for a short time and is currently too weak. If you want to kill her, it's best to make your move the moment she leaves the Five Elements Field."
As Wu Huaiwei finished speaking, she glanced at Mu Yong'an's pale face out of the corner of her eye.
She knew this old friend very well. Although his body was now riddled with holes and frail, the killing intent within it was no less than it had become.
“I’m giving you this chance,” Wu Huaiwei said generously. “If you fail to kill her, as long as I’m here, you will never be able to succeed again.”
Perhaps because of Nangong Sui, he thought of Nangong Ming. Mu Yong'an's face turned completely pale. He tightened his fox fur coat with one hand, coughed a few times, and felt a strong, metallic taste in his throat.
Mu Yong'an swallowed the churning blood, his voice hoarse but tinged with a bitter smile: "I can't even kill a rabbit tonight, but you can make her kill me."
“If she wants to kill you, I will naturally not allow it,” Wu Huaiwei comforted him.
Mu Yong'an was filled with mixed emotions, and he didn't even pay attention to the rare kind words that Wu Huaiwei said.
Nangong Ming does have a good daughter.
Is the future really going to unfold as he wishes, with everyone losing to him?
A thin mist rose in Mu Yong'an's bright eyes.
Wu Huaiwei said, "You should give up. Maybe she can master the Nine Mysterious Techniques of the Yin-Yang School, remove your curse, and save your life."
Mu Yong'an laughed and said, "Leaving aside whether she can master the most mysterious Nine Schools of Yin-Yang in a short time, will Nangong Ming's daughter save me?"
If Nangong Sui were to learn the most powerful Nine Streams Technique of the Yin-Yang School, it wouldn't save him; it would only make things worse for him.
Wu Huaiwei replied, "She doesn't know who you are."
If Yu Sui hadn't released the Five Elements Light Cores nearby tonight, then she truly wouldn't have known.
Hearing the conversation between the two, Yu Sui, who was in the armored formation, took another look at Mu Yong'an through the Five Elements Light Core.
Another enemy of Nangong Ming.
The elite armored formation is a hellish spectacle.
As soon as Mei Liangyu entered, he felt the strong aura of blood and fire. The grim atmosphere of the battlefield brought a great sense of oppression. Thunder cleaved through the thick smoke and fog, revealing a scene of ashes from the fire and blood-stained reeds intertwined and dancing in the air.
A colossal guardian king, clad in armor, stood before the city gate, his eyes blazing like the sun, impossible to look directly at, slowly scanning everything below, bringing bursts of flames with him.
The evil spirit born from the raging fire is charred black, covered in sparks from the flames, and spews swirling white smoke. Even when it stands still, sparks fall from its body.
Mei Liangyu squinted as he examined the demonic soldiers in the battle formation. Their appearance was somewhat similar to that pitch-black sword spirit.
They were far from the city gate, and the sky was shrouded in the smoke of battle, becoming gloomy and dark. Occasionally, thunder would boom, but even the lightning could not penetrate the dark clouds.
The demons bent down to pick up the fallen, masterless weapons, then looked up. Their crimson-gold eyes locked onto the intruders in the distance.
"Junior Sister." Mei Liangyu stared ahead, her body already radiating protective energy. "How long have you been in this godforsaken place?"
Yu Sui stepped back behind him to watch his senior brother's performance, raised his hand to count, and said, "It was when I first came to the Yin Yang Five Elements Arena to open the Star Chart Trial."
Mei Liangyu calculated the time and couldn't help but glance at her. He remembered that when he asked Yu Sui where she was before, she would say that she and Li Jinshuang were cultivating in the Yin-Yang Five Elements Field by opening the star map and entering the armor formation.
Now that I think about it, I realize she's been training in the elite armored formation all along.
You could say she's fearless, or that her courage is commendable.
Although Mei Liangyu knew that Yu Sui was not as innocent and harmless as she appeared, she hadn't witnessed Yu Sui's true strength much. The strange fire was Yu Sui's most powerful attack method, but Mei Liangyu had no intention of seeing it.
The pervasive pressure in the Asura Hell made Mei Liangyu wary and he had to be on his guard. He didn't dare to say that he could definitely break through the formation and get out. How did his junior sister get out before?
Yu Sui caught a glimpse of his scrutinizing gaze and said softly, "Senior brother, if you can't hold on any longer, just say so, and I'll find a way to break the formation and get out."
Mei Liangyu: "Are you sure?"
"Of course!" Yu Sui smiled, her eyes crinkling.
Mei Liangyu believed him, and using a master's incantation, he transformed a sword into a weapon in his hand, gazing ahead and asking, "How fast are they?"
"Soon," Yu Sui said, "it will be comparable to the strength of the seventh or eighth realm."
Mei Liangyu raised an eyebrow: "Only the eighth realm?"
Yu Sui pointed to the depths of the reeds: "There are even more terrifying things over there."
Mei Liangyu glanced in the direction she was pointing and said knowingly, "I'll go check on these eighth-realm evil spirits first."
In any case, there's no way he'd run towards the city's garrison commander.
Whoever runs that way will die.
The evil spirits ahead began to move. Yu Sui slowly retreated, laughing, "Senior brother, you must be careful not to get hurt."
Mei Liangyu remained silent, focusing on the evil spirits that were coming with starlight in front of him. He took a step forward, and a Bagua formation spread out beneath his feet. Several sword shadows floated in the air around him, and with a wave of his hand, a star formation flashed by. He clashed head-on with the army of evil spirits, creating a scene of flashing swords and shadows.
The evil spirits were incredibly fast and numerous, and in the blink of an eye they surrounded Mei Liangyu, leaving extra manpower to attack Yu Sui.
Mei Liangyu, relying on his rich combat experience, moved among the army of evil spirits. He faced off against the evil spirits in front of him with swords and vented his fighting spirit. The flashing lightning bolts went towards Yu Sui. The death talisman of the Ghost Daoist hit the evil spirits, drained their five elements energy, and defeated them.
Yu Sui glanced at the evil spirits that had been defeated by the death talisman and said, "Senior brother, don't underestimate them."
Mei Liangyu quickly understood the meaning behind those words.
The demons' combat skills will improve as they fight, and the nine styles of swordsmanship they use will become increasingly effective against their enemies.
A top-tier armored formation, capable of being fought only by someone at the Saint level.
Mei Liangyu had only seen the Asura Hell Formation, a special-grade armored formation, in books; there were very few records of it, and he had never heard of anyone being able to use it, not even the military sages of Taiyi.
Now, standing there in person, the sheer majesty of the city's defending general is enough to make one's heart tremble, instill a sense of retreat, and prevent one from looking directly at him.
The killing intent permeated every part of the armored formation, creating a sense of oppression on the battlefield. As time went on, breathing became increasingly heavy.
Yu Sui kept track of the time from the rear. Previously, she could only stay in the armored formation for a very short time before she had to leave. Otherwise, with the evil spirits' strength increasing and their numbers becoming too great, she would be no match for them.
She didn't even need to provoke the Thirteen Realms of the Dead Army on the other side of the river; these demonic soldiers born from the flames were troublesome enough on their own.
Although this was Mei Liangyu's first time entering the Asura Hell, his strength allowed him to hold out for quite some time.
Yu Sui observed that there were no fewer than twenty or thirty evil spirits surrounding his senior brother from the beginning. They acted simultaneously on multiple occasions, putting him at the mercy of attacks from all sides. However, he was skilled in various martial arts techniques and his fighting spirit was high, so he did not intend to suppress his power.
Military swordsmanship, calligraphy techniques, Taoist thunder magic, Yin-Yang star formations, and even the divination arrays of the Fangji school were all used by Mei Liangyu. Among them were many celestial secrets. Yu Sui, watching from the side, felt dazzled and amazed.
However, this also consumes a great deal of resources.
Mei Liangyu has been feeling depressed lately. After arguing with Saint Changgen that day, his emotions have been pent up and accumulating. Even when he was sparring with Yan Xiaochuan, he was holding back his strength. Although his moves looked fierce, he didn't really intend to kill him.
At this moment, in the Asura Hell, the stronger the oppressive feeling of the city's guarding general, the more it ignited his fighting spirit, as if the destructive desire that had been suppressed for many years was being released in some form.
They went on a killing spree.
Blood-stained reeds brushed against his cheeks, adding streaks of crimson to his face. Mei Liangyu nearly blocked the evil spirits' path, causing more and more evil spirits to pounce on him.
The sword in his hand had already been broken several times.
The increasingly powerful demonic troops were able to break through Mei Liangyu's protective aura, tear his clothes, and the cold blades cut his skin, leaving some scars.
Mei Liangyu knew he should leave, but all he could hear was the sound of his blood boiling, and his still-beating heart occasionally gave him a heavy blow.
The crisp sound of crushing the demon's body gave him a sense of pleasure.
On that rainy night, the face of the lowly sorcerer who attacked him flashed by, the materialized lowly sorcery, the flow of the five elements, the splattering blood, all overlapping with the evil spirit and reeds before him.
Should one go back to inherit those painful hatreds and responsibilities, or stay in Taiyi and start over?
Mei Liangyu had asked himself this question far too many times.
The clanging of swords clashing had barely begun when Mei Liangyu's longsword snapped in two, the gleaming blade piercing his eyes. He simultaneously grabbed the blade with one hand from behind, breaking it with his bare hands, and then quickly bent back to dodge the attack of the second demon leaping up.
Even if the demons have their weapons broken, they will not retreat; they will continue to use their martial arts skills.
The seemingly charred and lithe body of the demon possesses the power to break someone's ribs when it bends its elbow and presses down.
Mei Liangyu used Baguazhang to deflect the force and then counterattacked, creating a shockwave that repelled the evil spirits attacking from behind.
Seeing that the number of evil spirits was increasing, and that if the fight continued, they might really evolve into the eleventh or twelfth realm, Yu Sui called out, "Senior Brother!"
Mei Liangyu grabbed the wrist of the attacking demon and threw it away. Only then did she use her Wind Control Technique to retreat. However, she did not intend to ask Yu Sui to break the formation and leave. Instead, she headed towards the depths of the reeds to see what other powerful creatures might be on the other side of the river.
Yu Sui had no choice but to follow.
Mei Liangyu used his Wind Control Technique to traverse the reeds at a rapid pace. The tall reeds obscured the view ahead, so just like Yu Sui before him, he abruptly stopped when he reached the riverbank after passing through the reeds. His dark pupils reflected the iron cavalry army of the Thirteen Realms.
The black iron cavalry army was like an insurmountable, towering city wall. The horses, fully armed with armor, also looked ahead. The helmets concealed the faces of the iron cavalrymen, allowing only a glimpse of their crimson-gold eyes and the shimmering light of their divine soul cores.
Mei Liangyu's eyes couldn't contain the massive iron cavalry army on the opposite bank. His gaze slowly swept across the scene, where the black-armored cavalry on the opposite bank stretched as far as the eye could see—millions upon millions of black-armored iron cavalrymen of the thirteenth realm.
Even the bloodthirsty Mei Liangyu regained his composure when faced with such terrifying power, glancing back with a slightly strange expression.
He knew his junior sister was not simple, but he didn't expect her to be this extraordinary.
This trip to hell and hell really opened his eyes.
As soon as Mei Liangyu took a step back, the black-armored cavalry in front of him made a move. Their warhorses raised their heads and let out a loud neigh, as if it were a signal to go to war, full of arrogance and murderous intent.
On the opposite bank of the river, countless black-armored cavalrymen raised their spears in perfect unison, assuming an attacking and throwing posture.
Mei Liangyu did not hesitate. As soon as the black-armored cavalry made a move, he raised his hand. The golden protective aura seemed stronger than ever before. The invisible energy controlled in his palm materialized into golden Yin-Yang Bagua formations that kept overlapping in front of him.
Out of the corner of his eye, he caught sight of Yu Sui, who had caught up a step too late.
At this moment, Mei Liangyu faces a very important choice:
Should we believe that Yu Sui can break through the formation and escape?
If he couldn't escape, he would surely die.
Yu Sui, who had caught up, was also surprised when he saw the situation on the other side: "Senior Brother!"
The choice is made in an instant.
Amidst the neighing of warhorses, silver spears filled with murderous intent flew from the hands of black-armored cavalrymen, drawing blinding silver light in the smoke-filled night, instantly shattering the overlapping Yin-Yang Bagua formation.
The two immense forces collided in an instant, causing the river to tremble, the ground to crack, and the reeds to scatter and be swept into the air. The silver spear was aimed directly at Mei Liangyu's brow.
Within the Yin-Yang Five Elements field, starlight flickered, the star map was activated, and the two people who had been summoned fell to the ground.
Mei Liangyu fell to the ground, still supporting Yu Sui's waist with one hand. Yu Sui grabbed his clothes and sat up halfway, his eyes reflecting the scarlet color between his brows. His heart skipped a beat: "Senior Brother!"
She frowned and stared intently at Mei Liangyu.
The silver spear still pierced through his protective aura, leaving a bloody mark between his brows.
The skin and flesh were broken, and the shockwave also damaged the spirit and soul.
Mei Liangyu felt dizzy and coughed softly. Hearing Yu Sui's voice, she suppressed the metallic taste in her throat and replied, "I won't die."
Yu Sui finally breathed a sigh of relief, but her brows remained furrowed.
She didn't understand, nor did she expect, why the thirteen black-armored cavalry from the other side would attack Mei Liangyu together.
If she had been a step slower amidst the attacks of tens of thousands of thirteenth-level cultivators, her senior brother would have truly perished there.
Thinking back on this, Yu Sui felt a bit of lingering fear.
Mei Liangyu opened his eyes, and it took him a while to focus his gaze on Yu Sui. He saw her tightly furrowed brows and her bright almond-shaped eyes, which were unusually focused on him and filled with worry.
It's not a bad thing to be injured like this.
Mei Liangyu chuckled softly, his chest trembling. Yu Sui felt the hand pressing on his clothes and, seeing this, was both amused and exasperated. He said with a hint of annoyance, "Senior brother, are you still laughing?"
Humans are just despicable.
Mei Liangyu really enjoyed it when Yu Sui threw a tantrum at him.
Wu Huaiwei, who had been waiting for a long time, finally saw the star map open, only to see the two of them roll out together and fall to the ground. She narrowed her eyes and asked with an inscrutable expression, "What are they doing?"
Mu Yong'an coughed and said, "Let them talk first."
"What are you going to talk about?" Wu Huaiwei glared at her. "You're just trying to stall for time. Go now."
Mu Yong'an glanced at her, and seeing that Wu Huaiwei wasn't giving him a chance, he sighed and slowly walked towards the two people inside the Five Elements Field.
Mei Liangyu was lying on the ground and couldn't get up for a while. He circulated his five elements energy while reassuring Yu Sui.
Yu Sui repeatedly checked, then reached out and touched his forehead and cheeks: "Are you really okay?"
She didn't quite believe it.
His junior sister's warm fingertips brushed against his skin, causing Mei Liangyu to gently lift his eyelids and let Yu Sui touch and caress him at will.
"Although your soul was shaken, it will recover in a few days. Fortunately, you broke the formation quickly." Mei Liangyu praised her with a smile. "To be able to break this armored formation so quickly, Junior Sister, you are truly remarkable."
These words came from the heart, and the praise was sincere.
After escaping death, Mei Liangyu was too lazy to think about why she chose to believe Yu Sui at the critical moment of life and death.
Anyway, he made the right choice.
Yu Sui pursed her lips after hearing this.
She rarely hears others praise her.
I'm long past the age where I'd be happy and satisfied just to be praised by others.
Mei Liangyu scrutinized Yu Sui's expression and, seeing that she showed no joy or happiness, said, "Of all the young geniuses in Taiyi, I think none of them can compare to you. Junior Sister, you are the most outstanding genius among geniuses."
Yu Sui said, "Senior brother, you yourself are the unparalleled genius who can cultivate multiple schools of martial arts."
“You’re right.” Mei Liangyu nodded.
He accepted it very readily.
Mei Liangyu continued, "I am already a genius among geniuses, but I am still not as good as you, junior sister. You should be more confident."
"You are indeed better than them all."
He looked at Yu Sui calmly, without making any jokes or teasing.
You probably can't find another Taiyi sect that can open up a top-tier armored formation called Shura Hell in the star map.
The military formation revealed by the star map of the Yin-Yang Five Elements Field is an unowned formation. Even without a master to control it, it is impossible to find another formation that can break through it in an instant.
Mei Liangyu may not have known that at this moment, his gaze was more moving to Yu Sui than his words.
Yu Sui gazed into his eyes, and after a long while, she lowered her head and smiled.
Mei Liangyu suppressed his surging anger and asked her casually, "What are you laughing at?"
He should have kept quiet; asking only made Yu Sui more unable to contain herself, and she turned her face away with a smile.
Mei Liangyu asked again, "What are you laughing at?"
Yu Sui smiled and shook her head, then turned to say, "I remembered some funny things."
Mei Liangyu: "Tell me about it."
Yu Sui looked at him with a smile and said, "I went to a lecture by a famous master today and heard from the master's senior sister that you delivered breakfast to each of them."
“That was delivered on behalf of Yan Xiaochuan,” Mei Liangyu explained. “I urged him to practice his military swordsmanship, and he made a deal with me that I would deliver breakfast to these people for him today.”
Yu Sui: "Mmm."
Mei Liangyu added, "I'll send it to you tomorrow morning."
Yu Sui raised her hand to tuck a stray strand of hair behind her ear and smiled slightly, "How can that be? Senior brother, you're too busy. You have to deliver gifts to the senior sisters of the famous families, and you also have to deliver gifts to me."
Mei Liangyu: "..."
We need to find a way to beat Yan Xiaochuan up.
Yu Sui said, "I will eat at the vegetarian restaurant by myself."
Mei Liangyu stared at her and said, "I'll take you to the vegetarian hall to eat."
Yu Sui didn't give him a chance: "I know the way to the dining hall."
Mei Liangyu said with a half-smile, "Then I'll take you to listen to lectures by famous scholars. I see you don't seem to know the way to them very well."
Yu Sui blinked and said, "I'm familiar with it."
"I'm still not familiar enough with the area, which is why I encountered some strange people on the way," Mei Liangyu said calmly. "Remember to ask me to go with you next time."
Yu Sui asked, "What strange person? Senior brother, are you talking about Brother Gu who went to class with me this morning?"
Mei Liangyu sneered, "He doesn't even have a proper name, isn't that strange?"
Upon hearing this, Yu Sui couldn't help but burst out laughing.
Mei Liangyu, who was lying on the ground, bent one leg and pressed his knee against Yu Sui's waist and back, forcing Yu Sui, who was laughing so hard he was bent over, to straighten up and show him a smile.
"Did you remember?" Mei Liangyu asked her again.
Yu Sui nodded.
Mei Liangyu tilted her head slightly towards the star map and whispered, "Take me with you next time you come here."
After saying that, she winked at Yu Sui.
Yu Sui thought to herself that she couldn't refuse, and her gaze towards Mei Liangyu softened a little.
From a distance, Wu Huaiwei watched the two people chatting and laughing in the Five Elements Field, then looked at Mu Yong'an who was moving at a snail's pace, and couldn't help but sneer.
She knew that this sickly man didn't want to take on apprentices and was just stalling for time.
Mu Yong'an walked slowly, but this made him notice that Mei Liangyu's attitude towards Yu Sui was worth investigating.
He had a bad feeling.
Life is unpredictable. What if fate, by some twist of fate, led Mei Liangyu to fall in love with the daughter of her father's killer?
Mu Yong'an dared not think too deeply about it.
When Wu Huaiwei saw the person who was moving at a snail's pace suddenly quicken his pace, she couldn't help but raise her eyebrows. Had this sickly fellow come to his senses, or was he preparing to go and kill someone?
A heavy coughing sound rang out in the night, startling the two people inside the Five Elements Field.
Yu Sui had already taken in Mu Yong'an and Wu Huaiwei's actions. Feigning surprise, she whispered to Mei Liangyu, "Senior brother, someone is coming."
Mei Liangyu realized who it was, but he was also somewhat surprised. Only then did he get up from the ground and separate from Yu Sui.
“It’s Master Mu, a renowned teacher,” Mei Liangyu explained to Yu Sui.
Yu Sui nodded and whispered as Mu Yong'an approached, "Hello, Instructor Mu."
Mu Yong'an stared intently at Yu Sui, his face as pale as a ghost. It seemed as if all the life force of a living person was concentrated in his eyes, sharp and concealed, exuding immense pressure.
He was surrounded by a thick aura of death, yet he stubbornly clung to life.
Under Mu Yong'an's intense and serious gaze, Yu Sui looked bewildered and confused, and timidly looked back at Mu Yong'an.
It's fake.
Mu Yong'an thought to himself.
Like Hu Gui, he firmly believed that Nangong Ming's daughter could not possibly be innocent and harmless.
“Instructor Mu.” Mei Liangyu stepped forward to break their eye contact. “It’s late and foggy here. You’re not well, so try not to get cold outside.”
Mu Yong'an coughed and couldn't even speak.
Mei Liangyu strode forward to Mu Yong'an, grabbed his wrist, and channeled the five elements of energy to suppress the poisonous curse wreaking havoc within him.
Mu Yong'an stopped him with his hand, shook his head at Mei Liangyu, and gestured for him to leave with him.
Mei Liangyu turned to Yu Sui and said, "I'll take Instructor Mu back. You should also go back and rest early."
Their eyes met, and they silently exchanged messages.
Yu Sui nodded obediently and watched Mei Liangyu and Mu Yong'an leave.
Wu Huaiwei was satisfied after watching the two leave; the troublemakers were finally gone.
Yu Sui hadn't left yet. She seemed to be gazing in the direction Mei Liangyu had left, but in reality, she was waiting for Wu Huaiwei to come over.
She also wanted to see how this saint who had come to her door would accept her as his disciple.
